Amri's POV

I woke up and saw andrew and levi watching over me.

''hey she's awake'' levi said and kira walked in.

''what happened in there?'' kira said 

''just warning me how painful its gonna be on my birthday ill be out for three days she said'' i said 

''well we have time to prepare meaning we have two days to get you ready for this as best we can'' she said 

''first we eat im hoping i was out long enough for you to have cooked'' i said and she chuckled

''of course'' she said and we walked into the kitchen and she served us. 

''so how do you think the future is gonna be'' andrew said and i sighed.

''tough. to be honest i don't know how this is gonna play out but i know that this is gonna be difficult and i feel this terrible feeling that..'' i stopped

''that what?'' levi said 

''that there is gonna be death'' i said 

''alot of it i just can't tell from what side it will be'' i said 

''meaning ours or theirs'' kira said and i nodded

''well we all have each others back'' andrew said 

''haven't been around long but amri i'd do anything to protect you and you know that'' levi said and i smiled 

''thank you'' i said 

''hey levi can you help me get something real quick'' kira said and he nodded and they walked out of the dining room leaving me and andrew.

Kira's pov 

''so what is it'' levi said as we walked upstairs. 

''in here'' i said and we walked in the restroom and i turned on the water. 

''what are you doing?'' he said 

''when are you gonna tell her?'' i said 

''what do you mean?'' he said 

''when are you gonna tell amri you like her'' i said and he sighed

''obvious?'' he said 

''more than'' i said and he chuckled 

''how did you meet and why do you owe her a favor'' i said 

''god how did me and her meet'' he said and smiled 

''there was a party henry threw it'' he said 

''you know henry?'' i said

''i know everyone in their pack'' he said 

''anyways amri was drunk when i saw her and i helped her upstairs and helped her sober up'' he said 

''we talked all night literally till sunrise and everyone was passed out downstairs.'' he said and smiled 

''she told me about the alpha position and all that and how it wasnt something she wanted i was the first person she ever told before she told you and andrew'' he said 

''and you just met'' i said 

''some times its easier to tell a stranger because then maybe you wont see them again and they will forget'' he said 

''go on'' i said 

''well we realized it was morning so she was sober enough to drive and so she took me home'' he said 

''when i got home i was ambushed by people who wanted me dead'' he said 

''vampires?'' i said 

''werewolves jealous ones because i was hanging out with her'' he said 

''jealous?'' i said 

''henry taylor does anything to get what he wants'' he said 

''henry got people to kill you?'' i said 

''amri doesn't know it was him he wasn't there he got people to do it from another pack so amri never knew'' he said 

''anyways amri stepped up and protected me she would have been one hell of an alpha she sure did have the voice'' he said 

''she made them back off'' i said 

''not after the ass whooping she gave them they went away limping'' he said 

''you didn't fight?'' i said 

''right did i mention i was human when me and her met'' he said and i gasped.

''oh my god'' i said 

''yeah i was a bit shocked when she told me i didn't think she was serious she was drunk when she told me and she couldn't catch my scent that i was human but i fell for her anyways she was the only one that talked to me at the party'' he said 

''when was this'' i said 

''three years ago'' he said 

''we were fifteen'' i said 

''yall were im eighteen and have been for three years so technically twenty one'' he said

''you fell for a fifteen year old'' i said 

''hey i knew i couldnt be with her'' he said 

''how did you turn'' i said 

''was walking in a parking lot one night this girl was helpful and next thing i know she was draining me before i died she slipped me her blood and snapped my neck'' he said 

''then i woke up in her house and she helped me control my thirst and helped me get control of my emotions'' he said 

''why did she turn you'' i said

''boredom she was off on a binder she apologized knew it was wrong but she had let anger get the better of her'' he said 

''i was a quick learner so one year in she left and ive been on my own since i see amri every now and then she found out when i was able to handle being around other people'' he said 

''she understood she was there for me she saved me from killing alot of people when i lost control i owe her more than one favor thats why i would do anything for her'' he said and i smiled

''i take it back you don't like her'' i said and he looked at me 

''you love her'' i said and he looked down.

''don't say anything'' he said

''i understand more than anyone that i am not her mate'' he said and i sighed.

''im sorry'' i said and he nodded i turned off the water and i opened the door.

''thanks for the help'' i said and he nodded and we went back downstairs.

''did you find what you were looking for'' amri said and smiled and i nodded

''sure did'' i said and we sat down and we all started eating again.
