Amri's POV 

I sat in my chair on my balcony and i looked at the lit up eiffel tower and i sighed. I felt stupid running away. Stupid even. I went inside and i layed on the couch. 

''so when are you going back'' i heard and i sat up. 

''i don't know i just'' i stopped and looked down. 

''i don't know'' i said and looked at him. 

''you do realize you have the kids right'' he said 

''yes adrian'' i said 

Adrian. Elementary best friend who moved sixth grade. He is also a werewolf. He moved here to paris when he was fourteen and been here ever since. 

''so we caught up on everything since i left even down to the two adorable little munchkins'' he said and chuckled 

''i can just transport and pick them up plus this week is one of those weeks where he gets the kids for a week and then all next week i get them and then it goes back to the regular schedule it happens once every month and well this is the first time'' i said and i looked down. 

He sat next to me and he hugged me. 

''everything he said to me adrian i just don't know how he could i get it he was angry and i get in some way why he would say those things but it still hurts'' i said and he nodded

''i know hun'' he said 

''i just don't know what to do anymore'' i said 

''well there is this amazing coffee shot that has these sweet macaroons and delicious coffee feel up to some coffee and macaroons?'' he said and smiled 

''i'd love some'' i said and smiled and i got up and grabbed my purse and put on my shoes and we went to the coffee shop. 

''so how are you feeling'' i said 

''well coffee does make me feel better'' i said 

''every thing you have told me it sounds like you haven't had fun since you have gotten these powers feels like you have been in a constant battle with something whether it was the council or your parents and yes you have kids but you should still find a way to just slow down'' he said and i nodded

''here tonight we are going to a party'' he said and smiled 

''parties aren't my thing'' i said 

''well today it is you are gonna put the best dress on and you are gonna come out and drink and have fun'' he said and i smiled 

''thank you'' i said 

''its been years since we have seen each other and this is a very rare visit'' he said and i smiled

''i know im sorry i haven't kept in contact'' i said and he chuckled

''its okay i get it ken wasn't always the letting you have time for yourself'' he said 

''yeah and then i killed him'' i said and smiled 

''i hate that you have that devilish grin'' he said and chuckled 

''you are coming'' he said 

''why'' i said 

''you need to have fun you even died not long ago'' he said 

''i know'' i said and he smiled 

''come onnn'' he said 

''fine'' i said and chuckled

''yessss'' he said and i smiled.

We went back to his apartment and he gave me this gorgeous off the shoulder black dress that he designed forgot to mention he designs clothes. I had a pair of pumps that would match and i got ready. I did my make up and my hair and then got dressed. When i finished i walked out and he looked at me.

''wow'' he said 

''what'' i said and looked down.

''you look gorgeous'' he said and smiled

''thank you'' i said 

As we walked to his car i felt horrible like i should be with my kids rather then be out but i remind myself they are with adam. I got in the car and he took off to the party. 

''you are kidding'' i said 

When we got there there was people every where. Drunk. 

''nice'' i said 

We walked inside and the smell of liquor, beer, and sweat hit my nose. 

''lovely'' i said and chuckled 

We poured our own drinks and we saw everyone dancing. 

''i will be right back im gonna go say high to a few people'' he said and i nodded.

I put my drink down and i found a seat and sat down.

''hey beautiful'' a guy said and the smell of liquor coming from his mouth stunk.

''hey'' i said trying to hold my breath.

''are you from around here you look a little too tan'' he said and i laughed.

''does it matter'' i said 

''well yeah if i wanna take you on a date'' he said 

''not gonna happen'' i said 

''but-'' and i cut him off.

''nah ah'' i said

''well what if-'' and i cut him off again.

''nah ah'' i said and he walked away.

''hey'' i heard and i turned around. 

''hi'' i said confused

''oh sorry im jay'' he said and i nodded.

''amri'' i said

''huh'' he said 

''my name is amri'' i said and chuckled.

''oh sorry'' he said and chuckled.

''its okay'' i said and smiled

''your smile'' he said 

''what about it'' i said

''its beautiful'' he said 

''oh um thanks'' i said 

''so do you have a boyfriend'' he said 

I looked at him and i gave a small smile.

''yeah'' i said 

''complicated?'' he said and i nodded.

''definitely'' i said and he chuckled.

''yeah me too'' he said and chuckled.

''sorry to hear that'' i said 

''well maybe they just aren't the one'' he said and i chuckled

''i wish that's what it was'' i whispered.

''what?'' he said 

''nothing it's just me and him are more than boyfriend girlfriend he's my husband'' i said 

''oh'' he said and widened his eyes.

''no ring?'' he said

''complicated'' i said and shrugged. 

''right'' he said 

''just hard to get away from someone who is supposed to be your soul mate'' i said and looked down.

''wanna get out of here?'' he said

''im here with a friend'' i said 

''ill take you home'' he said and smiled.

''fine'' i said 

''ill meet you back at the house'' i linked adrian. 

''why?'' he linked back

''going to do something with a friend'' i linked

''you have friends here'' he linked and i chuckled.

''i can make friends'' i linked 

''be safe'' he linked

I cut it off and i walked to the front with jay.

''so you can fuck with him but not me'' i heard and someone grabbed my arm.

''you again'' i said 

''i fuck with him cause his breath don't stink and he aint trying to get at me so if you wanna keep that arm i suggest you let go.'' i said and he grabbed tighter.

''or what'' he said and i grabbed his neck and he let go and i started choking him.

''if you ever touch my arm again i will cut it off that's what'' i said and i let go.

He tried to punch me and i caught his fist.

''i tried to warn you'' i said and i squeezed his hand and you could hear his bones cracking as he screamed and then i punched him. 

''have a good night'' i said as he layed on the floor and i walked out with jay.

''well i was gonna fight him but you know you had that'' he said and i chuckled.

''im a big girl i can handle myself'' i said and chuckled.

''i can see that'' he said 

We got in his car and we drove around paris........
