Amri's POV

I woke up and i smiled realizing tonight im going to see adam. I don't know what came over me but i can't help but feel butterflies. 

i went downstairs and joined everyone for breakfast and i helped andrew do some things that needed to be done for shipments which took a little longer than expected. I looked at the time and it was three in the afternoon. 

I ran inside and up the stairs and then i hopped into the shower. I wrapped myself up in a towel when i got out and i blow dried my hair.

I straightened it and i looked at how bright it was. I grabbed my brush and i put it in a high pony tail and slicked it back. I started on my make up by doing my brows and put a little foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, and a little bit of highlight. I popped on some gloss and some mascara and then walked out into my room and went to my closet. I looked around for any type of dress but i felt like nothing was good enough.

''how about i lend a dress'' i heard.

I looked up and i saw kira.

''thank goodness i was gonna have a breakdown.'' i said and chuckled and she held up this gorgeous black dress.

''it complements your skin tone and hair'' she said

''plus those bright ass blue eyes'' she said and chuckled and i smiled.

''thank you'' i said

It was a beautiful black lace dress that was sleeveless and a little short. 

I slipped it on and then i put on a pair of black pumps to match. I grabbed a clutch purse and i looked at the time and it was 5:48. I went downstairs and i saw kira, andrew, luke, and levi sitting on the couch. 

''how do i look?'' i said and smiled and everyone looked.

''you look amazing'' kira said and smiled 

''i agree'' luke said 

''me too'' andrew said and i looked at levi and he got up. 

''you look good i hope you have fun'' he said and he walked away. 

''okay then'' i said and i heard a honk. 

''that would be adam'' luke said 

''well here goes everything'' i said and andrew chuckled

''you will be fine'' luke said and gave me a hug.

''knock em dead sis'' he said and i smiled

''thank you guys'' i said and smiled. 

I opened the door and i saw adam walking up to the porch. He stopped when he saw me and i walked to him. 

''why that face?'' i said 

''you look'' he stopped and looked me up and down. 

''absolutely gorgeous'' he said and i smiled and he held out his hand and i grabbed it and he helped me into his car and he got in. 

We drove off and got there within an hour. 

''wasn't that supposed to be a three hour drive?'' i said 

''then we would have gotten here at nine theres a back road its a short cut and kills off two hours and the dinner starts right about now so we are a few minutes late'' he said and chuckled. 

He helped me out and i took a deep breath. 

''don't worry amri they are going to love you'' he said and smiled and we walked inside his house and the scent of steak hit my nose and it smelled so good. 

''there is my handsome boy'' i heard and i saw a lady come to adam and hug him. 

''mom this is amri grimaldi.'' he said and looked at me. 

''my mate'' he said and she looked shocked and looked at me. 

''stevens daughter'' she said and i nodded. 

She pulled me into her arms and hugged me tight. 

''mom don't break her'' adam said and she pulled back.

''forgive me its just steven was a friend basically family to me and my mate we are so sorry for the loss of your father he was an amazing man.'' she said and i smiled 

''adam'' i heard and i saw a guy who im guessing is adam's dad.

''oh wow you look just like your dad'' he said 

''sorry where are my manners.'' he said and cleared his throat. 

''Logan Clarke adam's dad'' he said and smiled and held out his hand and i smiled.

''sorry im a hugger'' i said and smiled and he chuckled and brought me in for a hug. 

''you are your fathers daughter'' he said and chuckled.

''come on now dinner is ready'' adam's mom said and we walked to the dining room where i saw two other boys and a girl. 

''amri meet tyler, elijah, and madison'' adam said 

''nice to meet you'' i said 

''pleasure is ours my brother said you were beautiful but i don't think he gave you justice'' tyler said 

''are you sure you are his mate you are out of his league'' elijah said and i chuckled 

''watch it'' adam said and we sat down. 

''ignore these two they love annoying adam'' madison said 

''you can call me maddy'' she said and smiled 

Adam's mom served us and we all said grace. 

''so amri if you don't mind me asking how is your brother'' adam's mom said 

''he's good you know him?'' i said 

''know him? he was such an adorable baby me and logan watched after him till your mom and dad found someone to keep him safe'' she said 

''how is your mom as well we heard about ken'' she said and adam coughed. 

''you don't know?'' i said and she looked at logan. 

''know what?'' adam's dad said 

''ken is the guy who killed my real father'' i said and adam's mom covered her mouth. 

''i am so sorry we didn't know'' adam's dad said 

''its okay um as any dysfunctional family would my mother took the side of her mate than her two children. i met luke a few months ago i spent my whole life not knowing i had a brother'' i said and looked down. 

''you don't have to tell them amri'' adam said 

''no its fine i'd rather everyone know the truth then be left in the dark'' i said and looked up.

''besides any friends of my fathers are friends of mine'' i said and smiled 

''im the one who killed ken'' i said 

And everyone looked at me and i looked at adam no going back now right...........
