Amri's pov 

We got to White Oak and i felt my heart start racing and henry started laughing. 

''what's so funny?'' i said 

''i can hear how nervous you are the sound of your heart beat is so loud you can hear it a mile away'' he said and i rolled my eyes. 

''whatever'' i said we got out and the scent hit my nose like a truck and i couldn't help but calm down. 

''amri?'' i heard and i turned around and i sighed. 

''sorry henry dragged me here'' i said 

''don't be uh henry my beta can show you to my office and ill be there in a sec?'' adam said and henry nodded

''your hair it looks-'' i cut him off

''stupid i know'' i said and looked down and he put his hand under my chin and it sent sparks through my body. 

''i was going to say beautiful'' he said and smiled

''can we talk somewhere private'' i said and he smiled and nodded. 

We walked into the woods and it was honestly beautiful here. 

''so um did henry really drag you?'' he said and chuckled and i smiled

I explained what happened along with the story of this hair color and he was pretty taken back. 

''mint fur?'' he said and i nodded 

''thats unheard of but if you want my family goes way back in time they have a bunch of history on werewolves we can see if we can find anything'' he said and i nodded 

''thank you'' i said 

''so my question did he drag you?'' he said 

''part of me was wanting to come so its not like i hesitated'' i said and he gave me a small smile. 

''i am so sorry about leaving you at the ice cream shop'' i said and sighed 

''not my finest moment'' i said and he smiled

''don't worry i understand this whole mate thing is not your thing'' he said 

''its not that i don't want it its im scared to have it'' i said and he looked at me confused. 

''well considering your sister is a hybrid im pretty sure you know how hybrids are made'' i said and he looked down. 

''im sorry one of your parents had an affair?'' he said 

''my mom'' i said 

''my mom met him a couple years before i was born she had my brother first and then they kept him well hidden but when she was pregnant with me her mate found out and killed my real father steven grimaldi'' i said 

''your dad is steven?'' he said and i nodded

''you know of him?'' i said 

''my dad was his best friend when he found out he was dead he went crazy and wanted to kill ken lockwood but my mom stopped him and we were never on good terms that's why henry is here jinwood is under a new alpha of a different blood line and all he want's is peace and when we found out ken died and lola was banished it was more easy for my father to agree'' he said 

''yeah uh ken dying was actually me'' i said and chuckled

''can you get any better?'' he said and chuckled and i smiled. 

''um anyways my mom kept my brother from me my whole life me and my brother are the last remaining of the grimaldi's'' i said 

''wow my dad would love to meet you'' he said and smiled 

''i mean i knew you were a grimaldi when you told me but i never thought of steven it didn't snap'' he said 

''its okay'' i said 

''tell me more?'' he said 

''about?'' i said 

''why you are scared'' he said and i looked down and took a breath.

''im scared because i don't want that to happen to me i don't want to have the fear of not getting loved back or being cheated on'' i said and he grabbed my face and our eyes locked. 

''i would never ever do that to you all i want is to keep you safe and protected and love you with every thing i have you are my everything now and i will do everything i can to make you feel comfortable, safe, and loved'' he said and i started tearing up. 

''why are you crying?'' he said and wiped my tear. 

''i just have never seen someone look at me the way you did.'' i said and he kissed my forehead. 

''we can take it slow we can do whatever you want'' he said and i smiled 

''thank you for understanding'' i said 

''okay i know i said slow but is there any chance i can get you to meet my father?'' he said and laughed and i laughed with him. 

''i'd love to get to know you and your family more'' i said and smiled 

''good tomorrow we are having a family dinner ill pick you up?'' he said and i smiled and nodded

''be ready by six'' he said and smiled 

''i will tell henry i went back'' i said and he nodded and i shifted and he looked at me with wide eyes.

''you really werent kidding'' he said and i shook my head 

''bye gorgeous see you tomorrow'' he said and smiled and i ran back home.

I got back and luke met me outside with a pair of clothes and i shifted behind a tree and he handed them to me. 

''hey luke'' i said and got out from behind the tree after i got dressed. 

''where have you been?'' he said 

''with my mate'' i said and smiled 

''MA-'' i tackled him down.

''shut up i need to tell kira and levi before you scream it out to the world'' i said and he nodded and i smiled 

''good'' i said and patted his shoulder and got up. 

I went inside and i saw levi and kira talking. 

''hey can we talk outside levi'' i said and he nodded. 

We walked outside and we sat down.

''what's up'' he said 

''so i um'' i said and took a breath

''i met my mate today'' i said and his eyes went from normal to sadness.

''i thought you should hear it from me before andrew and luke blurted it out'' i said 

''oh thats amazing congrats amri'' he said and he got up and gave me a hug.

''im happy for you'' he said and smiled and i knew he was sad.

''thank you'' i said 

''tell kira before she kills you for not telling her'' he said and chuckled

''right'' i said and smiled and i walked back inside. 

''kira you should know something before the three knuckle heads tell you'' i said and chuckled.

''what's up'' she said 

''i have a mate'' i said and she widened her eyes. 

''OH MY GOD REALLY!'' she said and jumped up and down and i smiled. 

''yes'' i said and she basically tackled me down and hugged me. 

''IM SO HAPPY!'' she said 

''wow thats more happy than she was when she found out'' andrew said 

''wait why weren't you happy?'' kira said and we got up. 

''because of my parents but that's over now because i got advice from tony and henry and tony helped and then henry dragged me to his pack well not really dragged but you know and me and adam talked and im meeting his family tomorrow'' i said and smiled

''awww amri im so happy for you'' kira said and smiled 

''im proud of you amri'' andrew said and i looked at levi and he walked away. 

''just give him some time'' kira said and rubbed my arm. 

''yeah'' i said and gave a small smile.

I felt horrible for levi. But theres really nothing i can do about any of this........
