Alison
I walked off of the bus leaving Fire to her own devices; I was on my way to find the best hotel Los Angeles had to offer. I looked at my phone to see I had a missed call and voicemail from Jason; I called the voicemail and listened to it. “Alison, where the hell are you? You need to come home, now! Mon just thinks it’s a phase and because she can track you’re spending you’re not going to get into trouble. Why would you run away? We care about you Ali; we want you to come home. Please call me.” The voicemail cut off.
Jason, why do you have to care so much? Why can’t you be like the rest of them and just forget me, forget I’m not around anymore. I sighed as a walked up a block to find any sight of a cab. I finally found one, after walking aimless for what felt like forever. I got inside the cab, and told the driver to take me to the best hotel there was. He nodded and started driving.
Maybe I should call Jason, let him know I was okay and not to worry. No, I can’t do that, he would just quilt trip me into coming back where mom would be a million times more of a bitch toward me. But I never been as close to Jason as I am with Derek and Ryan, I mean he really cares what’s happening to me. I need to call him, I said as I looked at my phone and unlocked the screen bring up the number pad. No, I can’t…I can’t be stuck in that life again, I want to be myself, and this is the only way to do it. My head was fighting with me which was never a good thing. I was brought out of my thoughts by the cab driver.
“Miss, Miss! We’re here, that will be thirty-six dollars and forty cents.” The man said, I looked out the window only to see the grand entrance to the hotel. I grabbed a fifty dollar bill out of my wallet and placed it in the man’s hand.
“Keep the change” I said as I grabbed my bag and got out of the cab closing the door and hearing the car drive off.
“Can I help you with your bag ma’am?” a guy who looked like he was no more than nineteen asked. He was wearing black dress pants, a white button down and black vest with a gold name tag that said Jake.
“Yes, thank you Jake.” I said with a smile as I handed him the bag he smirked at me as he took it and walked into the hotel. When I walked inside I was greeted by a woman, she was dressed the same way that Jake had been, only she was holding a tray of lemonade.
“Lemonade?” she asked. I smile and took one before continuing onto the front desk.
“Hello, what can I help you with today?” a women with a big smile asked.
“The presidential suite, please.”
“Alright, I’ll just need to see some identification and a credit card.” I went through my wallet and dug out a card and I.D. handing it to the woman with a smile. After looking over it for a few second she hands it back to me. “How long do you plan on staying with us?”
“I’m not sure, could be a few weeks, maybe a few months.”
“Alright, here is your room key, our hotel offers a spa, gym, many different restaurants and bars that have very exclusive shows and a pool area. If you have any questions, just ask.”
“Well in that cause, is there any way that you can have Jake bring up a bottle of champagne and some chocolate covered strawberries?” I plastered a smirk on my face, I wanted that boy and I was going to get him.
“Oh, yes ma’am I will have him do that immediately, enjoy your stay.” her smile a little off, as if she knows what I’m doing, but knows she can’t afford to piss me off. I gave her a smile back and gave her a thank you before I went off to the elevator which led me to the top floor. I stepped foot into my new home and smile in satisfaction at the wonderful room. It had a small kitchenette with dark wood cabinets, and dark granite countertops, along with all stainless steel appliances. Around the corner was the living room, which inhabited, a large eighty inch plasma screen television, a large white sofa and love seat with glass coffee table.
The couches were accompanied by red and black fake fur pillows; the entire wall to the left of the living room was a glass window, which leads to the balcony. I went out onto the balcony where I found a small bar and hot tub. I can definitely handle this. I thought to myself. The view was absolutely amazing; I could see the beach to my right and busy street filled with shops to my left.
I followed the balcony around the corner to a pair of French doors; I took both handles in my hands and slowly opened the door. I stepped inside the room to find a large king sized bed with enough pillows to cover a room in a few inches of feathers. Another large plasma television hung against the wall, directly under it was a large mahogany cabinet, half being draws for clothing and the other half being a mini bar. I walked into the bathroom to find a jack and Jill sink along with Jacuzzi bathtub and large shower. There was more than enough room for two people in the shower, maybe even three. I thought to myself a smile plastered on my face, this is going to be good. I flopped down on the bed taking up my surroundings, when I was rudely interrupted by a knock at the door.
I sighed as I go up to go answer the door; I looked through the peep hole, to find Jake on the other side of the door with a cart filled with plates that had chocolate dipped fruit precisely placed on them, and bottle of wines. I opened the door, putting on my best smile. “Come in.” I said, moving aside to make room for him and the cart.
“Where would like it?” Jake asked referring to food.
“Everywhere if it’s with you, but for now you can put them on the coffee table.” I said loving the way he blushed at my comments. He placed them down and then stood straight up trying to be as well-mannered as her could, he then looked over at me.
“Is there anything else I can do for you ma’am?”
“Actually yes, first of all you can stop calling me Ma’am, my name is Alison and second you can tell me how old you are.” I said as I went over and took a bite out of one of the chocolate covered strawberries.
“I’m eighteen.” Jake replied, excellent I thought to myself.
“Well, Jake,” I said making sure he took notice of me looking at his name tag, though I already knew it form before, “Take a seat, I can’t eat and drink all of this by myself.” I said.
“I really should get back to work; we can’t drink on the job.” He said.
“I’m a guest, I could double salary if I want, so take a seat and enjoy yourself.” I said a smile playing on my face. He looked at me for a second as if he was thinking about what he should do before he nodded and sat down on the couch beside me. I handed him a class that I had filled with the liquid. He took a sip and then sat the drinking glass down on the coffee table, he wasn’t a big drinker. “So, tell me Jake, why are you working in a hotel?” I asked staring directly into his eyes.
“My father thought it would build character. This is my father’s hotel.”
“Your father owns this hotel, and yet you were going to turn down the offer to sit here and drink, and instead go back to your boring job that you don’t even get paid for?” I questioned him.
“Yes, well my father would know I wasn’t working, but since a very wealthy guest insisted I couldn’t say no, especially when it was one so pretty.” Jake said only inches from my face. I was taken aback by this; no guy had ever thought I was pretty or if they did they had ever said it out loud. However I didn’t let it show. I leaned into his face making the space between us smaller.
“So you think I’m pretty?” I whispered a smirk on my face.
“Very.” I didn’t get a chance to reply, his lips attacked mine, and his tongue invaded my mouth. I didn’t pull away, I didn’t make a sound, and instead I leaned into him more making him lean back onto the couch. I moved my leg over so that I was straddling his hips has we deepened our kiss.
I know what you thinking, “Oh my gosh, she’s a total stuck up, whore.” But I’m really not. I’ve never had sex with anyone before; Jake is going to be my first. Now I still know what you’re thinking, “Okay, so you’re an even bigger whore because you are going to have your first time with a completely stranger because you want to get back at your mother.” I can’t explain it, there’s something about Jake that I can trust.
I was messing with the buttons on his shirt, after already taking off is vest, before he leans up on his elbows chuckling a bit. “Let me help with that.” He said as he undid all the buttons, taking off his shirt. I smile down at the sight I see, this guy was ripped, a full six pack and biceps to match, I need to find guys at hotels more often. My face quickly changed when I also notice the large brownish yellow spots that covered his body, they were healing bruises.
“What are these?” I asked looking at the healing bruises.
“Oh, those, I was in an accident a while back they’re almost healed, no big deal.” He said after standing up as he picked me up, and plunging his tongue down my throat I wrapped my legs around his waist has he carried me to the bed room, brushing off the thought of his bruises. Jake gently laid me down on the bed. He pulled my shirt over my head and tossed it to the side of the bed on the floor. He started placing kisses down my neck, over my caller bone, down my chest and over my stomach until he was stopped by the shorts. He undid the button and slipped me out of them. “You, Mr. Jake, are wearing too many cloths” I said with a smirk as I helped him out of his pants.
We were making out half naked for what felt like an eternity, which I was totally okay with, he then went to remove my bra, I didn’t stop him but my stomach had so many butterflies I thought I was going to throw one up. He unclasped the bra throwing it on the floor beside my bed and then went to my underwear. My mind started screaming at me telling me no, over and over again, but I didn’t want to listen to it, I was so tired of listening to the constant nagging my brain did. He took off my underwear and I took off his boxers and the rest, well that’s too naughty to tell, but it was absolutely amazing.
I had just woken up after my very exciting advent; I was lying in my bed wrapped up in sheets and in Jake. This is how life had been going for past few days. Jake and I would spend all day together and most of the night. He was now watching some sport game on the television while my head and arm rest on his naked chest. I made a small noise as I woke up and looked up at him. “Hey sleepy head, you like your nap?”
“Yeah, so what do you want to do now?”
“We could go out around the town; your phone won’t stop ringing by the way. Someone named Jason; he’s not your boyfriend is he? I don’t like helping some girl cheat and I really don’t needed some guy showing up to punch me in the face.”
“No, he’s my eldest brother…although he still might show up and punch you in the face.” I said a little laugh in my voice.
“Well, let’s make sure that doesn’t happen.” Jake said. I smiled, cuddling up closer to his body, loving the warmth that was radiating off him. I rolled out of the bed going over to the draws and took out a pair of read lace underwear and a white lace bra slipping them on over my naked body. “Adorable.” Jake said turning off the television and watching me get dressed. I pulled jean shorts over my hips buttoning them in place. I then place a tank top over my bear stomach.
“Yes I am, now can we please get out of this hotel?” I asked excitement filling my voice at the thought of seeing the city.
“You don’t like what we do here?” he asked a getting off the bed and walking over to me, he was only inches away. “Because I know I sure do.” His lips grazed mine; I wanted my lips on his, however if that happened I‘d never leave.
“I love what we do in here,” I say pressing my body against his even more, it that was possible, “But I want to see the city.” I pushed his body away with a smirk. He gave me a small glare before caving.
“Alright, Alright, let’s go.” He said changing his frown to a smile as he led us out of the hotel room and into the parking garage. We walked up to a black motorcycle and my smile grew even more.
“This is your ride?” I said grinning like the Cheshire cat.
“Yeah? I’m guessing you like it.”
“I love it, my mother never wanted us on them, and she said it wasn’t very ladylike, but you want to know a secret?”
“Sure.”
“I don’t give a shit if I’m ladylike or not.” I said planting a kiss on his lips. Jake handed me a helmet as he placed one over his head and sat down on the vehicle. I carefully put the helmet over my head and snap it into place sitting down behind Jake. I wrapped my hand tightly around his waist. He left the garage like there is no tomorrow, and they way he was driving, their just might not be.
“Where are we going?” I asked Jake as we sat at a stop light.
“It’s a surprise.” He said a smile playing on his face.
“I don’t like surprises.”
“Who doesn’t like surprises?” I looked down at this statement thought he couldn’t tell.
“My mom didn’t give the best the surprises.” I said, I felt his body tense up.
“What did she do? She didn’t hurt you did she?” he said, his hands where griping the handles so tight I was sure they were going to break. I didn’t get to answer him because the light turned green and we zoomed off. Weaving in and out of traffic, if it weren’t for the adrenaline, I was sure I’d be having a heart attack. We soon came to a stop in a parking lot surround by palm trees. Jake turns off the engine and takes off his helmet, I do the same. He quickly turned himself around so that he was facing me. He grabbed my hands and held them. “Did your mother ever hurt you?” Jake asked looking so deeply into my eyes, almost as if to see if he could tell whether or not I was lying.
“No, she never physically hurt me, but emotionally she did.”
“What do you mean emotionally?” I sighed.
“She would make comments. A few days before I came here, I pierced my lip, my mother was furious. She told me ‘I need to take it out because it took away from the small amount of beauty I have’. It sounds like a compliment at first but then you start to analyze each word and realize she just said I have very little beauty.” I looked at his face, his jaw line tightened.
“Was she always like that to you?”
“No, but things change.” I said trying to put on a smile.
“How did you get here? What kind of parents let their sixteen year old daughter go to L.A. for an unlimited amount of time?” Jake said.
“The kind that didn’t know I was leaving. I ran away, though they don’t really seem to mind. The only person that has even contacted me is my eldest brother.” I explained his face seemed to harden at that statement. Was he going to tell?
“You ran away! Why? Was she that bad?” he asked still not getting off the bike.
“She wanted to change everything about me. Force me into a mold that I didn’t want to fit into. I couldn’t take it anymore so I ran away. It’s not that big of a deal, I mean like I said the only one who even cares is Jason.” I said shrugging it off. He just nodded before changing his face form mean and hard to soft and happy.
“Come on lets go.” He said as he got off the bike before helping me do the same.
“But I don’t have a swimsuit.” I said looking down at my simple jean shorts and tank top.
“That’s what the stores are for. Let’s go find you a swimsuit and then grab something that we can eat while sitting on the beach.” He said with a smile.
“Jake, you can’t pay for my swimsuit.”
“Yes I can and I will. I am your boyfriend and I will treat you to whatever I want.” He said in a matter-of-fact tone.
“You’re my boyfriend?” I said raising an eyebrow.
“I sure hope so. I yeah we haven’t know each other a long time, But I mean we have slept together…a couple of times and you’re a really cool person. I like to think we’re more than just being fuck buddies.” He said as I turned bright red and looked around to make sure no one else had overheard.
I know what you’re thinking, wow this is so fake, and who in the Hell thinks this is real? No one goes to L.A. as a runaway meets a cute boy screws him a few times and then become boyfriends and girlfriend. That’s not real life! Things don’t just happen like that! You should be lucky you aren’t dead. Did I guess about right? Your right, this kind of stuff doesn’t normally happen, but this time it did, but just because this one good thing happened doesn’t mean bad stuff wont.
“Well then, you’re my boyfriend.” I said as he smiled and started leading me toward the first store. It was a huge Forever 21, the biggest one I’ve seen and that’s saying a lot considering they are all normally pretty huge. We made our way through the maze of clothing until we reached the swimsuits. I grabbed a few and quickly tried them on. I quickly decided to get the navy blue and white halter top tankini with matching boy shorts bottoms. In the corner of both the top and bottoms is a gold colored anchor. I walked out of the dressing room and handed the swimsuit to Jake. He took it and quickly paid, we then went to some food cart that I was wary about.
“What wrong?” he asked.
“Nothing.”
“Yes there is, I can see it in your face? Is it the truck? I’ve eaten here millions of times and it’s amazing. Trust me it’s safe.” I nodded lightly, biting my lip little.
“Alright, just order what’s good.”
“Two slices of apple pie with ice-cream.” He said to the man, the man nodded and got the food as Jake paid.
We walked back towards the beach, but first we stopped at the motorcycle. “Why don’t you go change? I’ll find us a spot on the beach.” Jake said with a smile. I smile and nodded.
“Okay, but um where do I change?” I asked. He chuckled of bit, why do guys chuckle when girl ask a serious question? It’s like awe that’s cute you don’t know.
“I’ll show you.” He walked into this small building that was beside the parking lot. There was a front desk when we walked in but no one sitting at it. He walked me down a small hallway that led to a room filled with lockers. “Through that door is a bathroom with showers and regular stalls.” He said before leaving.
I quickly changed and made my way outside as I walked toward the beach looking for Jake. There weren’t many people here which made it easy to find Jake. He sat on a blanket in the sand with a picnic basket. I smiled as I sat down on the blanket. “What is this?”
“A picnic on the beach.” Jake said handing me my bowl of apple pie and slightly melted ice cream. I had the biggest smile on my face as I took a bite of the food letting a moan escape my mouth at how amazing this was. “Told you it was a good.” He had a smirk on his face the size of Texas. I rolled my eyes playfully at him and too another bite when a though crossed my mind.
“Where the hell did you get picnic basket?” I got a laugh on that one.
“That place you changed at? You can get a member ship which gives you parking, a nice clean shower, and a locker to store your things. It’s opened 24/7. I put the basket in there early this morning.” He said in a matter-of-fact tone. I nodded and took another bite.
After we had eaten our food and talked for a bit Jake suggested we go into the water. I nodded in excitement at this. “Did you go to the beach back where you’re from?”
“No, we went to the mountains. Skiing is more my family’s things, but I’ve always been a beach person. There’s just something about lying in the sun in the warm sand breathing in the smell of salt water that always calmed me down.” I explained.
Jake stood up and towered above me. He stretched out his hands and I took them as he helped me up. He led us into the water, I held onto his hand tightly scared to let go as we made our way deeper and deeper into the ocean. Jake wrapped his hands around my waist holding me close as we sat floated in the water the waves bouncing us up and down. I turned facing him and wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck holding him close. He smiled down at me and wrapped his arms around my waist. We stayed in the water for what felt like hours just floating there, we didn’t talk much.
Eventually Jake carried us out of the water and put us in the blanket. I was feeling very tired now, the sun can do that to a person. “You want to go for a walk?” Jake asked, I nodded my head. He helped me up, leaving our blanket in the sand. We made our way down the coast walking close enough to the shore so that when the tide came in it would touch our feet. “This is nice.” I said, Jake squeezed my hand.
“Yeah it is.” Jake said, somehow and I don’t understand how, but I tripped and fell flat on my face. I yelped in pain when I did. “Whoa there!” Jake said helping me up and moving me away from the water. “Where does it hurt?” he asked me. I lifted my hand and sure enough there was a larger shard of glass sticking out of a gash in my hand that was spilling blood out. “Come on lets go back to the blanket I got some Band-Aids.” Jake said leading my back to the blanket.
“Sorry.” I said.
“There is no need to be sorry. It’s not your fault some idiot left a glass bottle on the beach.” He said as we reached our blanket and I sat down as did he. “Okay, I’m going to have to pull that out,” he said referring to the piece of glass. I made some sort of face that was a mixture of unhappiness and pain. “If you let me do it quick like a Band-Aid it won’t hurt as bad.” He said and I nodded moving my hand towards him. “On the count of three, one…two…” he didn’t make to three because on two he yanked the glass making me yelp once again. I glared at him as I spoke.
“You said on three! That was two!” I said as he takes out a napkin and places it on my hand.
“I know, but if I hand done it on thee you would have flinched when I said three possible making it worse, keep pressure on it.” He said as he started to dig through the basket. I did as I was told and applied pressure to the wound trying to ignore the pain.
He soon pulled out a Band-Aid and some bottled water. He removed the napkin and moved my hand over the sand, pouring the clean bottled water over the cut, it stung as it cleaned out my wound. He then took another napkin and dried it off before placing the Band-Aid over it. “When we get back to the hotel remind me and we’ll clean it more properly.” He said I smiled.
“Okay, thanks” I said
“No problem. Hey it’s about dinner time, why don’t we go change and then we can go get some dinner.” Jake suggested, I nodded at this and helped him clean up before me made our way to the changing place. I put back on my tank top and shorts before I was to meet Jake back in the lobby of the changing place. I turned the corner and saw two girls flirting with Jake.
“You’re really cute.” The blonde girl said placing her hand on his bicep.
“Thank you.” He said shrugging her hand off though she didn’t seem to mind.
“You want to come with us? There’s this killer party down town.” She said pressing her boobs together even more in her tight tank top.
“Sorry I can’t. I’m going to dinner with my lovely girlfriend and would you look at that there she is now.” Jake said walking past the two girls over to me wrapping his arms around me. I looked down and smiled at him. He stood up for me.
The girls got a glare on their face and sent them my way but I didn’t care. They were just jealous because I had Jake as my loving boyfriend. The girls eventually walked off leaving me and Jake all alone. “Thank you.” I said.
“For?”
“Standing up for me, saying you had a girlfriend. That’s really nice and means a lot to me.” I replied.
“Well then you are most certainly welcome. Now how about we go to dinner then go back to the hotel and rent a move?” he suggested and I nodded following him to his bike, while we were walking a noticed a couple in full blown make our mode, a girl with purple streak and some older man. Though he wasn’t that old, he looked too old for here, maybe about ten years older than her. “Alison?” I was brought out of my thoughts and my staring when Jake called my name. He was holding out a helmet which I took before we both go on and sped off into the busy night streets of L.A.
