Jungkook didn't leave his boyfriend's side even once, arm protectively curled around the exhausted blonde. Yugyeom and Jaehyun had gone to pick up their stuff and inform the others of the event while Seokjin and Jimin accompanied the three outside, as both their parents had been called. Jimin was able to walk on his own, still pale and frightened of his parents' reaction. The two were walking a few steps behind.

Taehyung also looked pale, steps slightly staggering as they walked out of the building. He didn't pay the conversation of father and son much mind, instead thinking about his own father and his heart went heavy.

He was still shaken, and he didn't know how to tell his father what happened. Why was this happening to him once more? Weren't the horrible encounters with Joshua enough? That was the exact reason why he had left his old school; to forget the horrors he had been forced to endure. But now, new horrors had rose in his new school.

Yet Taehyung was unwilling to give up his newfound life, he couldn't. It was different this time, he was different this time. Taehyung was tired of running away, of allowing horrible people to bring him down to his knees. Beomseok was nothing compared to Joshua. Taehyung wouldn't allow this horrible man to frighten him.

Plus, he had enough motivation to stay here; he had a loving boyfriend, an amazing best friend who understood him like no other, and a circle of friends he wouldn't trade for anything in the world. No, it was worth it to stay. Taehyung just hoped his father would feel the same.

Jeon Jaemin halted in front of the school entrance, closing his suit jacket as he let out a little sigh. Surprisingly, he then turned towards Taehyung instead of his own son.

"Taehyung, I wish the circumstances would be nicer for us to officially meet," Jeon Jaemin said towards Taehyung and surprised the blonde by pulling him into a firm but short-lived hug.

"I'm very glad you're alright." The words were soothing to Taehyung's hurt, fragile heart. He felt Jungkook squeezing his shoulder.

"Thank you, Mr. Jeon," Taehyung quickly remembered his manners as he offered the elder man a little smile of gratitude. It was spooky how similar father and son looked, especially while standing next to each other.

"Whatever you need, let me know. I intend to treat the one holding my son's heart with the most respect. You have no idea how happy you make Jungkook," Mr. Jeon said with a friendly smile in return, making said son protest.

Taehyung glanced at Jungkook with a mischievous little glint in his eyes. Jungkook shook his head and pleaded with his Sweetheart to ignore what his father was saying.

Mr. Jeon's attention was averted from the conversation, towards the street.

"I also took it upon myself to contact your father, Taehyung."

A man rushed towards them, coat waving behind him as he had forgotten to close it, arriving in a mess of flailing arms and concerned eyes.

"Taehyung!"

"Dad," Taehyung sighed in relief, just when he couldn't hold back his tears anymore. He ran into his father's arms and immediately started sobbing. Jaehyuk knelt down and pulled Taehyung against him, one hand cradling his son's head protectively.

"My bear, I came as soon as I heard. Are you alright? How are you feeling?" Mr. Kim asked his son worried, checking his son's appearance and immediately growing concerned once he found a little trace left of blood.

Taehyung only sobbed brokenly, unable to voice out his thoughts. He couldn't be strong right now; he wanted to disappear. The events came crashing down on him as he stayed in his father's embrace.

Mr. Kim's eyes found the Jeons standing behind them over the shoulder of his son, his worried eyes turning relieved and thankful.

"Thank you, Jaemin." He addressed Jungkook's father. Jaehyuk had received a call at work that his son had gotten into trouble at school, making his heart drop. His precious, perfect son had been part of a violent fight? That sounded so unlike him. In the span of five minutes after the first call, Jaehyuk had received a second call, this time surprisingly from Jeon Jaemin's very own secretary, informing him of a compromised statement made by the school.

Briefly, he had come to know about the true circumstances of the fight: a student had tried to sexual assault Taehyung. Jaehyuk had already been on the way and nearly crashed his vehicle into a pole when he heard the words no father wanted to hear. The information was especially horrifying to Jaehyuk; after everything that his son had to endure in the past and it repeated itself. Life could be incredibly cruel.

Jaemin now shook his head, sorrow in his eyes, because he had done the bare minimum. The thought of what Jaehyuk was currently going through was already horrible enough. Jaemin didn't want to imagine what the other father was feeling.

"Don't thank me, Jaehyuk. It's the least a father could do. Although I don't condone violence, in this case it can be put as self-defense."

The two fathers smiled at each other in understanding.

"Your son was very brave." Jaehyuk said with a glance in Jungkook's direction who had been standing still next to his father, watching the interaction of father and son with soft eyes. Taehyung's sobs had lessened and now, he was simply cuddling into his father's chest. Jaehyuk let him be, knowing Taehyung needed the support. While Jungkook wanted nothing but to embrace Taehyung too but he held himself back, knowing Taehyung needed his dad right now and not him.

"I heard from my son that Jimin and his friends jumped in to help Taehyung." Mr. Jeon said and looked at his own son in confirmation who nodded.

"His friends seems to take after him and his braveness," Jaehyuk replied with a weak little chuckle. The two fathers turned to look over to the other parents-children group.

Only Seokjin's parents had shown up, much to Jimin's relief. Seokjin on the other hand was very loudly scolded by his mother before engulfed in a furious hug. She also tugged Jimin into her arms to which the boy replied with a wince. They couldn't hear what she was saying but judging from the boys' reactions, she was asking whether they were alright.

Mr. Jeon watched the encounter with a little smile, waving as a greeting when Mrs. Kim looked over to them, returning the greeting and offering the other father a friendly smile before taking Seokjin and Jimin away, probably back to her house to treat them and give Seokjin a proper scolding in the seclusion of their home.

"We as parents have the responsibility to raise our kids right," Mr. Jeon started as he watched the other family retreat. "My son might be hot-headed," at this, Jaemin threw a little glare at Jungkook, "but his heart is in the right place and who am I to scold him for it. I did the same for his mother, once."

"Gross, Dad," Jungkook whispered in disgust, effectively breaking the tension. Jaehyuk chuckled, moving back a little to allow Taehyung to appear again, feeling a lot better since he was in the comforting hold of his father. The Jeons watched how Jaehyuk wiped his son's tears away with tender hands.

"Taehyung, I'm very sorry you've experienced such a horrendous situation. I hope from the bottom of my heart that you recover from it. If you ever wish to talk, feel free to contact me. I'd love to help the boyfriend of my son out," Jaemin then surprisingly addressed his son's boyfriend who has slowly calmed down in his father's protective arms and has followed the interaction silently.

"Thank you, Mr. Jeon," he whispered and Jaemin offered him a tender smile. The politician then straightened and squeezed Jungkook's shoulder.

"If you'll excuse us, I need to have a word with my son. Meet us for dinner soon, okay Taehyung? My wife couldn't stop talking about the boy who stole our Jungkook's heart."

Taehyung nodded with a little smile, eyes flitting over to Jungkook, a question in red-rimmed eyes. "Give me a second, Dad," Jungkook said, eyes fixated on his boyfriend who suddenly looked so tiny and lost, teeth gnawing at a bloody bottom lip.

Mr. Jeon nodded, understanding the need for privacy between the two boys and motioned for Mr. Kim to follow him. Jaehyuk at first was reluctant to let go of his son but with a gentle squeeze to his arm and an assuring nod of Taehyung, he got up from his position.

"Don't take too long boys, we're in public," Mr. Jeon reminded them, stern eyes shooting a warning towards his own son who nodded grimly.

"Sweetheart," Jungkook started but Taehyung had already thrown himself at the blue-haired male. The football captain quickly caught the trembling form of his boyfriend, pressing him close as he buried his face in the crook of Taehyung's neck, arms curling protectively around him.

"You're okay, you're going to be okay," Jungkook whispered, feeling Taehyung trembling against him. The blonde sniffed, "I don't know, Jungkook." The blue-haired male closed his eyes pained by this unsure exclaim, so unlike the great steps Taehyung had taken into healing. It sucked that he was forced to take a few steps back.

"I will be here for you to help you with anything you need." The assuring words were spoken with undeniable confidence and Taehyung squeezed Jungkook in gratitude.

"Thank you," Taehyung whispered, tilting his head away as he captured Jungkook's cheeks in cold fingers, looking lovingly at his amazing boyfriend.

"For everything, Jungkook."
