Chapter 4
They rushed back to the ballroom, out of breath and dishevelled. Kesariya's corset had come loose, causing Eesha to re-lace it. Eesha had a few of her butterflies fall off her dress, which she was unhappy about. Lakshmi's pinned hair had fallen down and become a mess.
Lakshmi pointed at a young man. "There's Sir Kian Foxe!" They hurried over and startled him. He had pale skin with an assortment of freckles with fiery ginger hair. If Lakshmi didn't know better—he was a Weasley from the Harry Potter series.
"Eesha? Oh, hello," Kian said, smiling. Kesariya grinned, nudging Eesha in the ribcage. She ignored her, but Eesha's cheeks were as red as a tomato. "These must be your sisters, Kesariya and Lakshmi. Nice to meet you."
"You would be a great brother-in-law, just saying that!" Lakshmi blurted.
"LAKSHMI ISOLDE!" Eesha said as Kian chuckled. She rolled her eyes and focused back on Kian. "You checked out the Rulebook of Midnight, Wish, & Luck last week, correct?"
"Yes, but Lord Naveen requested it, so who am I to deny him?" Kian shrugged and Eesha's face fell. Lord Naveen could have hidden it anywhere, she thought. "However, I did see Naveen Genesis take it to the West Tower in the West Wing."
"West Tower?" Her face lit up. "Oh my gosh, thank you so much, Kian!"
"I wish the best of luck until midnight." Kian was suddenly pecked on the cheek by Eesha. His cheeks went red as Eesha's pink lipstick left a mark. Kesariya and Lakshmi glanced at each other, giggling.
"I'll see you on Thursday, thanks, Kian!" Eesha grabbed her sisters' hands and they raced out of the ballroom yet again.
"West Wing, West Wing," Lakshmi repeated as they sped down the shadowy halls. She turned to Kesariya. "Lady Jolene didn't happen to mention where the West Tower was, did she?"
The eldest sister grinned. "Follow me!"
