Chapter 20: The Visit
I woke up on a bright sunny day.
I smiled. The tests! It was all over and it was a weekend too.
I grabbed my phone and started chatting with my friends...but as I did, a particular person came into my mind.
Steven...
I gave him a message regarding the...date. After about 17 minutes he answered.
Steven: Sorry, Twily. I was just busy
Twilight: Why couldn't you tell me?
Steven: I just couldn't! I'm so so sorry. I hope we can still be friends.
Twilight: Of course we can...just...please don't do it again.
Steven: Sure! Why don't we have some dinner at my place tonight. I can guarantee it'll be fun.
Twilight: Sounds nice. So, what's your address?
Steven: It's 1623 Bridge Avenue. It's nearby this huge lake.
Twilight: Cool. I guess we can hang out there after.
Steven: Yup! See you later, beautiful!
I blushed as he sent me the last message. I started packing. Sure, he didn't mention anything about sleeping over but I just wanted to be prepared.
I was about to take a bath and start my morning by getting some coffee at Sugarcube Corner with my friends until I heard a knock.
I opened the door expecting one of my friends.
"Mom?! Dad?!" I screamed almost falling down. "Good morning, sweetie," she greeted.
"Your dad suggested that we should come by after the test," Twilight Velvet informed me.
I glared as they looked around but then I had a flashback.
"Mom?" my past self called. "Yes, sweetie?" my mother replied. "All my friends have one of those...do you think you can get me one?" I pointed to a phone displayed at an electronic store. "I'm sorry dear, but no," she answered. "But everyone-" I got cut off by her. "They all are idiots! I don't want you to end up like them!" she got mad. My 11 year old self nodded with a frown. "Yes, mom," I nodded. "Soon, you'll be the best student in school. I can guarantee that!" she stated. She is right about that...atleast she was.
Meanwhile, I had another flashback.
"Remember what I said Twilight!" My mom alarmed me. "No friends visiting you here, clean the house every week,no eating junk food, learn at least 3 hours after school and most importantly, no electronics!" she informed me. "Goodbye, sweetie!" she waved goodbye.
As you can tell, my mother has this thing against electronics.
"You're house is a mess!" she started freaking out. Did I mention she has OCD?
"What. Is. This?" she pointed to a pile of clothes. "Why are these on the floor?" She picked them up. Before I could answer she started freaking out about something else. "What are you eating!?" she picked up a bag of junk food like it was a bag filled with drugs.
She threw it into the trash can as she screamed "This is disgusting!"
"But I'm an adult!" I argued. "An adult? AN ADULT!" she twitched. "Woah...Woah! Calm down!" Night Light shouted. "I am calm...I..." she took a few deep breaths. "So sorry, sweetie. Anyway here's your birthday card. I'm very sorry we missed it. Hope it was a nice day," she exclaimed taking out a childish pink card. "Thank you, mom," I thanked her putting it on a table. "I heard you changed schools too! Isn't that exciting new!" she smiled.
"Who...?" I gasped knowing how mad she'd be once she find out what school I'm going to.
