Chapter 16: The Phone Call
"Put down your pencils. Time is up," she announced glancing at her watch. Everyone panicked knowing that they still hadn't completed all the questions. I looked down at my watch. We still had 4 more minutes. "But we still have-" I started but was cut off. "Keep quiet, Twilight," she shushed me quite rudely. She collected the students papers. Eventually she took mine. "I see...you haven't even started...what a shame," she grinned a little.
I hate her.
She walked back to her desk in a stylish and fashionable way...at least she tried to. She shuffled the papers and made her way to an office right after. She then, got a phone call.
I wonder who she's talking to...
My curiosity overcame me. I stealthily got out of class and spied on her.
"Hello," she greeted.
"Yes. It went quite well actually," she nodded to herself as she talked to the person on the phone.
"So, how did you all do?" she asked.
"Excellent," she looked to her right making sure no one was listening to her. Lucky for me, I was fast enough to duck under a table.
"Well, I don't think I need to anymore...Well, our friend, Twilight seems to be...yes, that...I'll call you soon. I'm quite busy...yes...goodbye," she hanged up.
She put the papers on a desk and searched for someone's. She pulled it out.
"Sunset..." I uttered stared at the name on the paper which was written quite messily. She took Sunset's paper. I prepared myself for a rip...but instead she took an eraser and erased everything. I gasped lightly. Right after, she got a pencil and imitated Sunset's hand writing. She put the paper back on the stack of papers and left the office. I ran back to class and took a seat before she could see me.
"Your next test will be starting in 30 minutes," she glanced at the clock. "It'll be a geography test," she stated grabbing some chalk. "You may revise now," she finished.
I took out my geography text book which was out of class.
"There are a total of-" I mumbled noticing Principal Cinch watching me very closely.
Before I knew it, 30 minutes were gone. "Please keep your books out of sight...we will start the test in a minute," she alarmed us. Placing a paper on each desk, she glared at me.
I sat down nervously.
"You may start now," she announced. After answering a few questions, I got stuck on one. I tried to concentrate but I just couldn't.
I told you! You shouldn't have gone to Sugatcube Corner! Do you think that Steven would actually come? C'mon it was so obvious. Of course he ditched you! Even you would ditch yourself, right?
Yes...
You're a waste of space
You're no one
You're worthless
No one likes you
I stared at the question
"Name all the countries that start with 'A'," I read it.
After a while, something else interrupted me.
Principal Cinch got another phone call.
"Yes...I'm in the middle of something here...yes...well...just...who's the teacher guarding you...great...so far so good...I do...brilliant plan," she smiled before getting out of the classroom.
I could here her muffled voice.
"You ARE brilliant students...unlike them," she rolled her eyes.
"So, what do you have in mind?" she smirked.
