Rudra POV

"Please, I want to do something special for you after your crowning ceremony,"

She said and I smiled looking at her.

"You are special to me, Nandani,"

I tied to say and she rolled her eyes.

"Irrelevant answer,"

She said and I did not know but I could not answer that. I had never thought about her in that way. 

"Leave that, I will figure it out myself,"

She said and I smiled.

"Ranaji,"

Suddenly the voice of an attendee caught my attention and I turned to look at her.

"Ji,"

I asked smiling at her and she said.

"Badi Maa-sa is asking to hurry up for the ceremony,"

I looked at Nandani who inhaled a deep breath and I nodded.

"Okay, we are coming,"

I said to she left the room.

I looked at Nandani who was wearing her jewellery and trying to move her fingers faster. I did not know but looking at her getting ready in front of me was making my heart beat faster.

I could not believe how must we have come here. Never in my thoughts, I had thought that we would be married and have this moment.

"Rudra,"

She called and a wide smile appeared on my face out of nowhere.

How beautiful she sound. Ooffff!

"Hnn-hnn,"

I hummed staring at her silently and she turned to look at me. A loose strand of her hair fell over her cheeks and I felt a slight tightness to see how dared it touch her cheeks. She was flawless. She was beautiful.

She was everything I would ever need.

"Can you help me change my anklets? It's so heavy and I cannot bend forward,"

She said without even looking at me and I nodded.

"Of course,"

The words came out of my mouth itself and I stood up from the chair. I held her shoulders and pushed her to sit down. Her hands were holding the anklet bells and I sat down on my knees. I held her feet and pulled them gently to place them over my knees and she stopped.

"You are wearing white. It will get stained. I have just put the Mahavar,"

She said and I smiled looking at her.

I held the handle of her chair and pulled her closer. She thinned her brows with confusion and I held her feet and pulled them closer to my chest.

Her eyes widened with shock and I look at the imprint of her feet on my chest of bright red colour.

"Are you mad?"

She yelled at me and pulled her feet back.

I chuckled and looked at her beautiful and glowing face.

"When my heart is stained what else I could ask for,"

I said and she smiled looking at me.

"Are you stupid?"

She yelled more at me and I held her feet to put on my knees.

She inhaled a frustrated deep breath and I leaned in closer to unhook her heavy anklets with my teeth.

She giggled a little and said.

"Literally, I did not know that you are that romantic,"

I smiled and placed the new anklets around her ankle and said.

"Neither did I,"

She laughed a little and leaned in closer to the hook to tighten the hook.

I looked at her and smiled. Her cheeks had turned red and she playfully touched my cheek with her feet.

I smiled and held her another ankle to repeat the process.

"You should change the kurta. It will not look good if you will roam in the Kingdom with your wife's coloured feet stained on it,"

She said and I nodded.

Like, I would.

I chuckled and suddenly there was another knock on the door.

"Ranisa,"

The attendee called from behind and she asked.

"Yes,"

"Ranisa, your family has arrived,"

She informed and she immediately stood up from the chair and laughed.

"Really???"

She said with excitement and looked at me.

"Rudra, Maasa and Baapu-sa,"

I smiled looking at her smiling so heartedly and I nodded.

She looked at me and went running from there. I looked into the mirror to look at myself and my sight fell on the bright red-coloured imprint of her feet on my chest.

It was nice. 

I also walked out of the chamber and went to see the preparation of the chamber for them. This was the first time they had come into the Kingdom and I did not want to give them any chances of complaints.

After taking a few moments to take a report on the guest chambers and preparations I walked towards the main entrance door.

My sight fell on Nandani hugging her mother tightly and I smiled looking at them.

"There, he is,"

Her father said as I could hear his faded voice. 

Nandani, Ranvijay and Agastya with everyone greeting them turned to look at me and I noticed a shocked expression on their faces.

I walked forward and stood beside Nandani.

"Pranam, Rajaji,"

I greeted him adjoining both of my hands and he chuckled looking at me. I smiled and bend forward to touch his feet and he stopped midway by holding my shoulders.

"We must hug each other, Rana Rudra Dev Singh,"

He said with the proud in his eyes and hugged him. I felt him patting my back and I looked at her Daadi-sa. I touched her feet and she placed her hand on my head.

"God Bless You, Rudra,"

She said and I looked at her. She rolled her hands in the air around my head and touched them on the side of her forehead.

"Last time you forgot to give me that thing. You know I have been feeling a lot of pain in my body. Can you show Ra-,"

"Daaddiiiiiiiiii-sa,"

Nandani interrupted quickly and came forward. She hugged her tightly and started crying fakely.

"I was missing you so much, Daadi-sa,"

Everyone looked at her with confusion and I said.

"She is lying,"

I laughed and bent forward to her mother's feet. 

"God bless you,"

She said with the same gesture and I looked at Abhinandan standing beside his father.

"Abhi!"

I said excitedly and walked further. We both spread our hands to hug each other and he muttered in a noticeable voice.

"Kya kya din dekhne pad rahe hai,"

"What kind of days I have to see now,"

He said and I laughed.

"Shut up,"

I said and he rolled his eyes.

He lowered his gaze to my Kurta and said.

"Do not you feel any hesitation?"

I chuckled and shook my head.

"She is my pride and I can proudly carry my pride with me,"

I said and he clicked his tongue with disgust.

"Yuckkk!!!"

I laughed and looked at them.

"You should rest in the chambers. We have prepared everything,"

They nodded and stepped inside the Empire.

Suddenly, I felt pulled by a light pull and I looked at Nandani frustratingly looking at me.

"What the hell? I told you to change it. Everyone saw it. You should not do that,"

Her frustration made me smile and she gritted her teeth.

"I am not joking,"

"Nandani,"

Suddenly, her mother called and she looked at her.

"Ji, Maasa, I am coming,"

She gave me a quick look of seriousness and ordered.

"Change it now,"

I shook my head.

"No, I would not,"

She showed me her wide eyes with anger and said.

"Then I will you,"

I chuckled and muttered.

"Gladly, my angry little wife,"

She gave me a frustrated sigh.

"Nandani,"

Her mother called her again and she said.

"Coming, Maa-sa,"

She looked at me and warned.

"If you will not change it, Rudra, I will not talk to you ever again,"

I smiled hearing her angry voice and I inhaled a deep breath while seeing her walking away.

I will not.

I did not want to change. It was that simple. I was feeling good about it. 

I saw her getting disappeared into the distance and I looked at Ranvijay and Agastya watching me like owls.

"What are you looking at?"

I asked and they both asked the same question together.

"What the hell happened to you?"

I chuckled and ignored both of them by walking away to check the other arrangements. It turned late morning until the preparations were done.

I was asked to join the sacred Hawan and pray for the crowning ceremony.

I looked at Nandani waiting for me and looking at me she frustratingly sighed. I walked closer to her and she made an angry face looking at my kurta.

"I asked you to change,"

I smiled and held her hand to walk towards the Hawan kund.

"I do not want to,"

She carefully climbed the stairs along with me and said.

"I will not talk to you now ever. Everyone is watching. What will they think of you? Of us?"

I smiled and helped her sit in the place in front of the sacred fire.

"We will see that,"

I said and adjoined my hands together. I looked at the priest and everyone staring at my chest and I looked at Nandani who pulled her veil low to hide her face.

I laughed a little and we both started offering our prayers to the deity and following the instructions of the priest.

After some time it ended and I looked at Badi Maa walking towards me. I and Nandani both stood up. She was holding the sacred and prestigious swords of our ancestors and lowered to my knees to take the sword from her hands.

She handed it over to me and I touched her feet to take the blessings.

"May you become the mightiest and the strongest King history would ever remember,"

She said in her soft voice and I looked at Nandani who came forward. Badi Maa smiled and gave her the keys to the Kingdom. It was a heavy bunch of iron keys and she took them and touched her forehead to them.

Then she bent down to touch her feet.

"May you become the most remembered Queen of the history,"

I smiled listening to her words and I could feel that Nandani was blushing.

We both stepped down and took the blessings of all our elders available.

They all wished us well and now was the time for the celebration. We both walked towards the celebration and were welcomed by the loud trumpets and drums.

There was a huge wave of celebration everywhere and I looked at Agastya dancing along with the crowd and paid dancers.

I laughed and looked at Nandani who was not talking to me.

"Hey,"

I tried to say after sitting on the couch.

She did not respond and I smiled seeing her tantrums.

One by one everyone came forward to give us gifts. There were Kings of the entire northern region of Hind and the feast began.

The crowd separated into men and women for the dinner. On the occasion, the whole of Suryagarh was invited for dinner. It was a great moment to win their hearts too. 

I looked at everyone Ranvijay, Agastya, her father and brother, our officials and everyone here. People were looking at my chest but not saying anything.

It was a long and tiring day that finally came to an end. A lot of relatives and friends left on the same day while others stayed there.

After wishing a good night to all our guests and seeing the preparations for tomorrow morning, I walked back towards my chamber.

The chamber was lit beautifully and it was smelling roses and lavenders.

I walked further and looked at attendees leaving it. I looked around to find Nandani around and she was nowhere to be seen.

I looked at the attendee who came in to place the glasses of milk for us and I asked.

"Where is Rani-sa?"

She bent a little and shook her head.

"I am sorry, Ranaji. I do not know,"

I nodded and said.

"Can you find and tell her to meet me,"

She nodded and walked away from there.

I was feeling tired and I sat down on the couch waiting for her. It was already midnight and I just wanted to see her. It had been long.

I kept waiting and waiting for her. The milk went cold and she did not come.

I was turning furious. Where the hell was she now?

Her family had already left for their home.

I inhaled a deep breath and walked outside to find her.

I looked at the silent and empty galleries of the Empire as I was searching for her.

I had checked everywhere including the library, the bathing room, the garden and every corner of the Palace.

I turned my steps towards the kitchen. My heart was beating faster and I just wanted her to be alright and safe.

I place my hand on my chest and entered the kitchen. My ears were alerted as I heard the faded noise of her laughter.

What the hell?

I walked inside and looked at her. My brows thinned in a row and I could not believe my eyes.

"What the hell you two are doing here?"
