Chapter Four
We went back to the school like normal after that day, but things were less than normal. Everyone was talking about how we made the news, and Mr. Aizawa was stuck in bandages from head to toe. But that didn't stop him from teaching our class. That next day he told us about he UA sports festival, and everyone obviously eager and nervous. Despite the attack from the from the League of Villain, the school was planning to hold the festival anyways, and I knew that I needed to give my all.
The class still didn't know my quirks origin, but all the pro-heroes knew. And I needed to get their attention in a more positive light. The entire class was pumped, and I had seen some of the competition in action. This wasn't something that I was going to be able to hold back on, even if it meant using my quirk on my classmates.
Later that day, I was walking to class with Mina and Su, both pretty excited for the festival.
"(Y/N), are you worried about the festival? Since you came late?" Su asked me.
"Yeah, no one has really seen your quirk in action. We've already had our quirk assessments and the battle trials. You've missed quiet a bit. Did you have any training before UA?" Mina asked.
"Of course she did, she got in here on recommendation," Su pointed out.
I figured they would all be curious about me. Kamihara told me that it was best that I kept the past to myself, but Mount Lady told me to just be open and honest about myself. With that, I didn't really want them to know that I had spent the last three years training with the number five hero.
"I'm not too worried," I told them. "I have a pretty good handle on my quirk. I'm actually pretty excited about it. It's a chance for me to not only prove to you guys, but everyone that I have what it takes to be a hero."
*Bakugo's P.O.V.*
Hero History was about to start, and finally, Raccoon Eyes, Toad Girl, and that new girl walked into the classroom. The extra went ahead and took her seat right behind me. Midnight thought because of her arrival, it would be fun to have a new seating arrangement, putting that newbie right behind me.
"You being so confident about the sports festival makes me a little nervous," Raccoon Eyes told her as the walked in front of my desk. "Since our quirk is a little alike."
"I don't think you should worry. I hardly know what anyone's quirk can do. I'm sure it'll be pretty evened out," that extra told her, taking her seat, and Mina went to hers.
"Blast boy, hit them now!"
Who does she think she is? Getting to come in late? Taking down villains on her first day? Talking about the sports festival?
She pisses me off...
"Don't tell think that just because you got in on recommendations, you're actually going to do well in the sport festival, especially against competition like me," I told her, kicking my feet up on my desk.
From the corner of my eye, I saw her face scrunch up before a smug look formed. "We'll see about that, Boom Boom boy."
I felt my upper lip twitch, and I sat up in my desk, facing her. "I've seen your quirk, and you wouldn't stand a chance against me."
"You haven't seen anything. I promise you that," she spat back.
"Guys-" Dumb Hair tried to butt in.
"You wanna see something?" I threatened her.
"Kacchan-"
"Don't make me knock you two out," Midnight loudly spoke as she walked into the room.
Both me and the extra looked up at her. I instantly sat forward looking to the front of the board, and she did the same.
Idiot.
"That's more like it, now let's get started," Midnight smiled, going to the board.
