We have been through a lot together and this year is finally about to finish. It would not be a fun celebration without a contest and some crazy adventure, would it? Festive Adventure Craze is a collaborative contest between the adventure, flashfic and WattpadFestivals profiles to celebrate the holidays. Strap on your winter gear, grab a cup of hot chocolate and jump into a holiday adventure!

Please check out the prompts and pick one that sparkles your interest the most. You are welcome to write for any prompt you want. Don't forget to follow the contest guidelines!

Imagine you are stuck alone on winter holidays and there is nothing you can really do about it. The world around you became as dull and boring as never before. However, the people who truly believe in the adventure spirit will only be able to overcome any obstacle.

What would you do then if you have a mind with no limits? Meet ghosts or aliens? Go on adventure through a mysterious video game? Or drive away to discover an abandoned area in the city with your pet? The choice is yours to make.

In two days, New Year's bells will strike. Your three years old relative (son, daughter, brother, sister, cousin, nephew, niece, friend...) has made the weirdest, the craziest resolution for you. You will have one day only to complete it. On New Year's Day, exactly...

This story must include a mention of Santa Claus at some point throughout.

Rules

To take part in the contest:

❄️ Use at least one of the above prompts and write a story. It can be part of a pre-existing story of yours, but it must be relevant to the prompt you have chosen to write about.

❄️ All genres are welcome, including fanfiction, as long as it is relevant.

❄️ Your story shall be no longer than 1000 words.

❄️ You can enter once per prompt, however do keep in mind, only one of your story will be winning

❄️ Write and post your story on your profile and submit it by completing this FORM and share it in the comment section below. You may write your story as a stand-alone, or as part of an anthology. Once you have submitted, please share in the comment section below.

❄️ Your story must follow Wattpad Content Guidelines, found HERE. Mature/banned stories will not be accepted

❄️ Submit your story by January 15, 2021, 12:00am GST*

❄️ Only stories in English will be accepted.

Winners: Shout-out on all profiles + sticker

Each profile will judge the entries entered for their prompt

Those winners will then be judged overall by all the profiles together

Winners and runner-ups will be posted by all the profiles (noting the prompt they used)

The criteria for judging:

☆Relevance to the prompt (Stories must be relevant to the prompt(s) above and must follow our rules to be eligible for judging).

☆Grammar and style (Quality of writing, good grammar, spelling, and punctuation, will be judged)

☆Creativity (We are always looking for fresh ideas and creative approaches to writing)
