Pool Party/The Road To Corinth

The next morning Bella and Rikki dove into the ocean and spent the few hours before class swimming around and exploring their new found transformation. It was a completely different world underwater, Natalie had swam alongside a dolphin and raced Rikki around Mako island.

It was bittersweet to end the fun, but the two girls didn't have long before school was starting and they still needed their tails to dry. They leaned against some rocks and basked in the warmth of the sun as they waited for the transformation to reverse itself.

After they were finally tail free, the duo begrudgingly made their way to school. Though it was mostly Natalie dragging Rikki behind her as she forced the blonde away from the sea. The Sertori couldn't blame her though, anything that happened at school would pale in comparison to being a mermaid.

Once the school day had ended, the girls were all gathered in Cleo's room. Emma was sitting on the bed next to Rikki, listening as her and Natalie discussed the possibilities that came with their tails. "How deep do you think we can swim?" Nat questioned Rikki from her spot on the carpet. The Chadwick hummed in thought, musing on her friend's question.

A distraught Cleo came out of the bathroom holding a bottle of moisturizer in her hand. "This is a catastrophe of the highest order. Moisturizer is mostly water." She looked around at the three as if waiting for someone to understand the problem.

"If dolphins can swim for miles, so can we." Rikki thought out loud to Natalie, ignoring Cleo's minor crisis.

Cleo looked at Rikki as if she'd grown a second head. The brunette didn't understand how the blonde was so at ease with everything happening to them. "We can't moisturize ever again. Our skin will be dry and wrinkly. We'll be geriatrics by the time we turn twenty-one." Cleo said in an appalled voice.

Natalie tuned them out, getting lost in thought about what Rikki had hypothesized. We could travel the world, a smile spread across her lips at the thought. Though her daydreams of travel were shut down when Cleo began ranting about having to tell someone about what was happening to them.

"Woah, slow your roll there Cleo. Do you want us to get put in an insane asylum or locked up in a laboratory?" Cleo frowned at her, not appreciating the fact that she wasn't on her side.

Emma shared a look with Natalie and Rikki, before standing up and moving closer to Cleo. "We can't tell anyone about this Cleo."

"Not even mum?" Cleo asked, looking to her sister for some support. Natalie sent her a sympathetic smile as she squeezed her knee, "But I tell mum everything."

"Not this time," Emma stated firmly, not budging on the matter. "it's too dangerous...people just won't understand."

The girl huffed, before slowly nodding her head. Natalie thought they'd finally gotten through to her twin when she opened her mouth again. "Fine, I won't tell anyone...except Lewis."

Rikki rolled her eyes, "No Cleo. Not Lewis, not anyone."

With a sigh, Natalie moved so she was kneeling in front of Cleo. The girl took her twin's hands in her own, squeezing them affectionately. "Hey, you don't need Lewis or mum. You've got us and we're all going to get through this together. Each one of us keeps this a secret and we all watch each other's backs."

Cleo bit her lip and finally squeezed her twin's hands back in assurance. "Okay, okay. Don't worry, I'm really good at keeping secrets." As much as they all loved Cleo, the three friends couldn't stop themselves from sharing an unconvinced look. The announcement about Miriam's pool party had created a problem for the group of mermaids. That problem being that Cleo was quite determined to attend the party as to avoid being labeled as uncool and never getting invited to another one of the blonde's parties ever again. While the brunette had partially won over Emma, Rikki and Natalie were much less convinced due to their hatred of Miriam. Yet Cleo's pleading and Emma's crush on Byron had won out over the other girls' protests. Which led to them trying to gain control of their mermaid forms to see if they could stop the transformation from occurring through discipline.

Even though Cleo was the one that wanted to go to the party, it hadn't hit her that gaining control meant getting in the water. She sat motionless on the beach as her twin and friends tried to coerce her into the ocean with them.

"Come on, it's not even deep here." Rikki tried, but Cleo shook her head in protest. "Please Cleo?"

"No."

Emma sighed, tilting her head towards the ocean. "Fine, come on then Rikki, Nat."

While the other blonde followed after Emma, Natalie lingered back for a few moments. She took a seat next to her twin on the rock and wrapped an arm around Cleo's shoulders. "It's okay to be afraid Cleo. When you're ready we'll be there to help you work through this."

She hopped off the rock and jogged over to where Emma and Rikki were waiting for her. The three girls stared tentatively at the water before steeling their nerves and walking in. Cold waves splashed against their legs as they waded in a little bit deeper. "Control and discipline start with the mind, so concentrate." Emma told her two friends.

Both girls nodded and all three of them took a deep breath and chanted, "No tail, no tail, no tail."

For a few seconds, Natalie thought it might actually have worked. Though those hopes faded fast when the transformation hit and all three of them went falling into the ocean with a loud splash. Despite being disappointed that their experiment failed, Natalie couldn't help but laugh at their situation. Rikki joined in shortly, while Emma still looked rather unamused.

Though the fun quickly ended when Rikki noticed Lewis walking over with his fishing gear, Dillon was not far behind him. She hit Natalie and Emma's arms and the three mermaids moved themselves behind the cover of a nearby rock, managing to hide their tails before the guys got close enough to notice. "Alright, who leaked the information?" Lewis asked jokingly as he moved to stand next to Cleo. "This is my secret, highly classified fishing spot. Someone must have blabbed."

Cleo gave both him and Dillon a guilty look. "Sorry."

"Hey, I got your message about going to the party." Lewis told Cleo, a hopeful expression on his face.

Cleo froze momentarily, remembering that she'd messaged him before she realized that she'd have to get in the water to learn control over her newfound tail. "Oh, yeah...that was an old message, I'm not going anymore. Too much homework."

Lewis nodded sadly, before moving on from the subject. He set down his fishing poles and began unbuttoning his shirt. "Well, I might just join you all for a swim then." He told the girls. Emma, Rikki, and Natalie all shared worried glances. The panic only grew when Dillon nodded and pulled off his shirt.

"Yeah, a swim sounds great right now."

Not knowing what else to do, Rikki blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "We're naked you guys." Emma nodded along with the lie, agreeing with Rikki's statement. Natalie on the other hand went beet red as she made eye contact with Dillon, who's eyes had widened considerably.

Lewis looked over at Dillon before looking back to the girls, "Just a quick dip then?"

Dillon turned and smacked him in the arm. "Dude!" Despite his tanned complexion, it wasn't hard to see the bright blush creeping up to the tips of his ears. He turned around and quickly grabbed his shirt, throwing it over by where his female best friend was. "Please put that on Natalie." He told her, still bright red as he turned his back to the girls. "Thanks. I'll talk to you later." She said.

Lewis on the other hand, had yet to move and Emma rolled her eyes. "Goodbye Lewis."

"The offer was there." He told them before turning around and walking away. Dillon followed after him quickly, trying to put as much distance between him and the girls as possible. The four girls had relocated to Emma's house after Rikki, Nat, and Emma had gotten themselves dry and tail free. All of them walked into the kitchen, listening to Cleo as she continued to rant about the party.

"We're never going to be invited anywhere cool ever again. And why? Because we've got tails." Cleo lamented.

"My swimming career is over." Emma added on bitterly.

Cleo filed up a cup of water, while Emma grabbed some orange juice from the fridge. Both Rikki and Natalie leaned against the counter and watched as the two girls continued to complain.

"I just have one question? Why me, I didn't ask for any of this to happen" Cleo held out her hand to guide a blob of water from her cup and into her mouth.

Emma stuck a popsicle stick into her orange juice and held out her hand, freezing the liquid. She licked the popsicle she'd just made before rejoining Cleo in complaining about their newfound gift. "You think you've got problems, I've been training to be a swimmer since I was six-months old."

"Well say goodbye to that dream because we're merfreaks now." Cleo told her.

Finally having enough of their pity party, Rikki decided to call the two girls out. "You two are unbelievable. Look at yourselves! You're drinking water from midair." Rikki pointed out to Cleo and then turned to the other blonde in the kitchen. "Emma, you just made an instant icy pop. Anybody else would love to be able to do that. You've both got these amazing powers and all you do is whinge, whinge, whinge." Both girls avoided Rikki's gaze as she continued her little speech. "I don't even have a power and Ava has so many powers, do you hear me complaining? No! Well I've had enough, I don't want to hang around with whinges."

"Rikki, wait!" Natalie chased after her friend and followed her outside.

The blonde stopped at the end of the driveway and let the brunette catch up. Once Natalie was by her, Rikki started walking again. It was a silent walk for the most part, Rikki wasn't ready to talk and Natalie knew better than to try and force her. Once she felt less annoyed, Rikki broke the silence. "I'm not actually mad at them."

"I know." Natalie told her.

Rikki sucked in a breath of air before continuing on the conversation. "It's just that they have these amazing powers and all they do is complain about them. Do they not understand how amazing this is? I would give anything to have a cool power like you guys."

"They're just trying to adjust, Rikki." Natalie defended her twin and Emma. "It's been a big change for all of us."

"I know." Rikki responded with a sigh. "But why don't I get to have a power? I've accepted what we are and I never whinge about it, yet I'm the only one that doesn't get one."

"Have you thought that maybe you just haven't discovered what triggers your power yet?" Natalie questioned the blonde.

Rikki shrugged and kicked a few stones around with the scuffed up toe of her shoe. "But I tried doing what you guys did and nothing worked."

"Exactly!" Nat nudged her lightly with her shoulder. "Things don't always happen the same way for everyone."

"I guess you're right..." Rikki told the girl. "Thanks, Natalie."

"No problem," The brunette told her. Ava's phone beeps. "I gotta go. Dillon wants to talk to me." "Ok. bye." Rikki said. "Would you please care to explain what's going on?" Dillon asks Ava. "Dillon, it's a long story. Trust me." she told him.

"What's going on?" He asks, taking her hand. I take a breath and walk to the back patio where the pool was. Well, I'm doing this. "What are you doing?"

"If I show you, you promise not to freak out?" He nods. "Ok." she dive swiftly into the pool transforming after ten seconds.

Ava came up to the surface showing him her tail. "Wow." Dillon breathes. "It's beautiful- I mean, you're- how?!" He sits by the edge putting his feet in as I explain how this happened. "So, let me get this straight. You, Cleo, Emma and Rikki are mermaids. So you can shape and control water, freeze water, boil water, jellify water, crystalize water and change water's color, Cleo can just shape and control water, Emma can just freeze water, and Rikki doesn't have a power yet. And this all happened at Mako. Ok, yeah, that's a lot to take in."

"So you're not freaked out about this?"

"How can I, you're still you. Tail or no tail."

"You do know that you can't tell anyone about this, right?"

"Yeah, I know." Ava smiles hearing that.

"Natalie!" Rikki perked up when the brunette returned. She latched onto the girl's wrist and began dragging her to the beach. Once Rikki had finally dragged the Sertori down to the beach, she found an empty tide pool. Natalie tilted her head in confusion when she watched Rikki crouch down in front of it. But soon enough all of her unspoken questions were answered as the blonde slowly clenched her hand into a fist and the water in the pool began to evaporate rapidly.

"You found your power." Nat cheered happily.

"You were right." Rikki told her with a smile. "And now I feel like I need to apologize to Emma and Cleo for yelling at them." She pulled out her phone, texting both girls.

Cleo hadn't responded to the text, but Emma had. The Gilbert arrived at the beach twenty minutes after Rikki messaged her. She walked over to the Stackhouse-Connor and Chadwick girls and tried to apologize to her fellow blonde, but she dismissed it with a wave of her hand.

"It's okay, we're cool." Rikki placated Emma. "Now come on, we need to show you something."

The three girls ended up back at Lewis's 'secret' fishing spot. All of them were sporting their tails now as they leaned back against one of the larger rocks that was partially hiding them from view. It was fortunate that they were mostly hidden since Lewis made a surprise appearance.

"Is that you guys?" He called out. After a few moments of silence, he continued speaking. "Are you naked again?"

All three of them sent a quick glance at their tails before looking back over to Lewis. He was still far enough away that it would be impossible to see their tails. They still didn't want to take any chances though.

"We're having a bit of a girl talk." Rikki told the male.

"But are you naked?" He asked. Right now he was very stressed and all he wanted to do was get his mind off of Cleo by spending some time fishing.

Emma rolled her eyes at his question. "Go Lewis!"

"No, I'm here to fish." He complained. "I'm having withdrawals and I need the relaxation. If anyone is going it's you guys."

Natalie groaned at his stubbornness. "Why don't you go hang out with Cleo?" She called out to him. In all honesty, Nat was rather surprised that Lewis wasn't with her twin. Usually he was never too far from wherever Cleo was. "I don't know what's been up with her lately, she just can't seem to make up her mind." His phone beeped and Lewis pulled it out. After reading the message, he rolled his eyes. "You see what I mean. It's Cleo, she's going to the party now."

Now that was a disaster just waiting to happen. A mermaid going to a pool party by herself, what was Cleo thinking? She hadn't even bothered to try and get her friends to go with her and now she would be at Miriam's with no one to look after her.

"Lewis, you need to go find Cleo." Natalie told him in a panic. "Please, you have to keep her from going to that party."

The male shook his head, done with the complications. "No, I'm here to fish."

"You need to call her Lewis, she might be in trouble." Rikki argued.

"I'm not some lackey, or all-purpose servant." He folded the girls, but contradicted his words as he pulled out his phone and called Cleo. "You really think you can tell me what to do and I'll jump....Her phone is off."

The girls exchanged nervous glances, "She could be in danger Lewis." Rikki told him. "You like her don't you?"

"In a friendship sort of way." He replied as he avoided making eye contact with Natalie. It was pretty useless though, it was already obvious that he had feelings for her sister.

"Well?" "Call Dillon, he'll know what to do." Ava tells him. Lewis sighed before he turned around and started walking away. The instant he was out of sight, the three mermaids hauled themselves out of the water. An idea popped into Rikki's head and she held her hand out over her tail, clenching it into a fist and drying out her tail. Once she was dry, the blonde moved onto Emma while Ava steam dried her tail.

"Why Dillon?" Emma says confused.

"Oh, you told him, didn't you?" Rikki said.

"I'll explain on the way." Ava said as they went sprinting off towards Miriam's party.

By the time they got there, it was already too late. Lewis was trying to haul Cleo out of the pool, Cleo now sporting her tail. Rikki and Emma went to make sure nobody came outside and Natalie ran over to where Lewis was struggling with Cleo.

"Can you guys give me a hand? She weighs a ton." Lewis huffed out, almost losing his footing on the wet floor.

Emma and Rikki had rejoined them and they shared an uneasy look with Natalie and Cleo. "We can't."

"If we get wet, we'll grow tails too." Rikki added on.

Lewis looked like his head was about to explode, "All of you?" Cleo nods. "Even Dillon?"

"Lewis, if he was one of us, I wouldn't have let you call him." I said. "He knows, all right."

"So just you girls? Seriously?"

"Yes, keep up Lewis."

It took a while until Lewis and Dillon pulled Cleo out of the pool. "I should have joined the gym." Lewis commented.

The brunette was frantically trying to dry her tail with a nearby towel, but Rikki stopped her. "Get back Lewis." The blonde squared down beside Cleo and held out her hand. Steam rose off of Cleo's tail as Rikki slowly clenched her hand into a fist. It only took a couple of seconds before she was dried and back to having legs.

"There you go, steam dried."

Cleo smiled up at Rikki, "You found your power."

Lewis interrupted them, looking utterly lost and confused. "Guys what is going on?"

"We'll explain later, but right now, we should probably go." Natalie told him as they both helped Cleo stand.

As everyone went to leave, Rikki held back and looked at Miriam' pool with a smirk. She evaporated the water and when Nat came back to see what had held up her friend, the brunette laughed. Her and Rikki quickly ran away from Miriam's house after that, not wanting to be seen by any of the party goers. Eventually the two girls caught up to the rest of their group and they ended up walking back to Lewis' not-so-secret fishing spot. Natalie decided to sprawl out in the sand while everyone else opted to sit on the rocks.

No one had said anything and the silence was starting to drive Nat crazy. So she decided to break it, "So I guess the mermaid is out of the bag now."

"This probably goes without saying, but if you tell anyone, we maim you." Rikki threatened "I'm not that stupid. If anyone found out, you'd end up as science experiments." Lewis told them solemnly. "I quit the swim team today." Emma tells us.

"Oh, Emma. I know how much that means to you." Cleo says sympathetically to her.

"Yeah." I agree. "I know how hard you train."

"But still, what can I do?" Emma says.

"This whole thing is just out of control. It's just too big." Cleo tells us.

"Let me get this straight. You freeze things..." Lewis said starting with Emma. He moves on to Cleo. "You explode things..." Then to Rikki. "You boil things..." And finally to Ava. "And you can do all three of those things along with Jellifying things, crystallizing things, and changing water's color. And you all grow tails. It's just too bizarre."

"Bizarre, yup. Unique, definitely." Dillon says, smiling.

"Still sometimes it's good. And sometimes it's not so good." Emma said.

"It's, it's, I don't have a world for it." Cleo said.

"I do- three of them. Totally, absolutely, awesome." Rikki told them. Emma, Natalie, Dillon, and Lewis laughed at Rikki's comment. Cleo, on the other hand, looked rather uneasy. They could only hope that one day Cleo would be able to feel the same way that they did about their newfound powers.

A few weeks later Venjix attacked the world. Bella was trying to reach corinth when she heard a noise. It sounded like a car. Bella didn't turn around. She just stood still. The noise got louder and louder until it stopped. Bella turned around to see a black car. It looked like a Pontiac Firebird with its engine sticking out. It also had two people inside. Both men. Bella didn't care who they were; she was still ready to defend herself. Then the guy in the passenger seat stuck his head out the window. Bella took off her ear buds.

"Hey, there. You need a ride?" The guy asked

"Depends. Whose car is this?" Bella asked

"His." The guy pointed to the driver

"I'll only get in if the owner allows it. If not, I'll walk to Corinth. I'll take my chances with the toxic air." Bella said

"Wait, you're going to Corinth?" The guy asked

"Trying to." Bella said. The guy looked at the driver. The driver nodded.

"He said you could come in." The guy said. Bella hesitated for a moment and looked at the driver. He simply nodded again. Bella walked to the car and sat in the back seat. She stuffed her phone and ear buds in her bag and put her bag next to her. The driver began to drive again.

"Thanks. What are your names?" Bella said

"I'm Ziggy, and I don't know his name." The guy in the passenger seat said

"Well, I'm Bella." Bella said

"Nice to meet you, Bella." Ziggy said. Bella looked in the mirror and saw the driver looking at her. He immediately looked back at the road.

"Likewise." Bella said. She noticed that she was being driven through what used to be a forest. Bella looked sadly at the dead trees.

"Why do you look sad?" The driver asked. Bella was a bit shocked that he spoke at all, but answered it either way.

"Venjix ruined everything. All I can do now is to pray that someone will stop him." Bella said. They drove in silence again. Ziggy broke it.

"So, you still haven't told me your name yet."

"I don't know." The driver said

"You don't know if you want to tell me your name?" Ziggy asked

"I don't know my name." The driver said

"Poor guy. Amnesia." Bella thought

"Well, where are you from? I mean, who are you, then?" Ziggy asked

"I don't know." The driver said. He sounded irritated.

"Serious amnesia." Bella thought

"You know... if we're gonna be partners, I feel like we need to work on our communications." Ziggy said. Bella could tell that the driver was beginning to lose his patience. She had to intervene.

"Ziggy, could you please give him some personal space?" Bella asked

"Right, sorry." Ziggy said. It became silent again. The driver took a quick glance at Ava through the mirror. She seemed... different than what he thought she would be. A good different. The silence was broken by Ziggy.

"Oh, wait, wait, wait!" Ziggy said. The driver stopped. Ziggy pointed in a direction out of the dead woods.

"See? Ziggy promises, Ziggy delivers." Ziggy said. In the distance, a giant dome could be seen. It was Corinth.

"It's so close." Bella said

"Corinth City. Now, we probably want to pull off the road here and wait till dark." Ziggy said

"We can't stop." The driver said

"What?" Ziggy asked

"Please explain." Bella said

"We're running on fumes. If I kill the engine, I may not be able to start it again." The driver said

"So let's go right now." Bella said

"No, no. No, this is a joke, right? Y-You're not serious?" Ziggy asked, now nervous. Ava saw the driver smirk.

"I think the smirk on his face means he's serious. We're doing this now." Bella said. The driver pressed his foot on the gas pedal and the trio headed straight to Corinth.

"Ok, stop, time-out. Look, we need a reality check. All right, let me spell this out. No one has ever run the barricade into the city during daylight. Understand? No one." Ziggy said. He was really scared.

"Well, I'm about as close to no one as you're ever gonna meet." The driver said

"We at least have to try, Ziggy. We won't get anywhere if we're doing nothing." Bella said

"Ok, uh, you know what? You can, uh- you can drop me off anywhere along here." Ziggy said, then he stuck his head out the window. Bella rolled her eyes.

"He's like an annoying brother." Bella thought. But that thought made her think about her family. Thankfully, Bella didn't get far in her memories because Ziggy spoke again.

"It's the perimeter patrol." Ziggy said. Ava looked out the window and saw two Grinders on motorcycles riding behind them.

"Damn. I hate those things." Bella said

"And they're right on top of us. They are right on top of us." Ziggy said

"Hand me that." The driver said. Bella saw Ziggy pick up things from below his seat, and none were there. Ava was focused on the Grinders.

"You do not mean this." Ziggy said. Ava turned her head to see Ziggy hold up a lemon-flavored lollipop. The driver took the lollipop, ripped the wrapper out with his mouth, and put it in his mouth.

"Ok. This isn't happening. I'm running the Venjix barricade in broad daylight with, uh, Willy Wonka at the wheel." Ziggy said

"I prefer to call him Hot Shot because he's doing good at avoiding those Grinders." Bella said. Then the car began to shake. The Grinders were shooting lasers at them. Then Hot Shot grabbed something that looked like a giant bolt and stuck his lollipop on it. He threw it out the window. The bolt got stuck on one of the motorcycles and it exploded.

"No way. Awesome." Bella said. The driver laughed.

"Remind me, uh, to never get on your bad side." Ziggy said

"Trust me- you're already there." Hot Shot said. Bella laughed.

"Don't worry, Ziggy. I'm sure he won't do anything." Bella said

"Ok, uh, close call, but I think we've got enough time to, uh, to turn around and back up before we hit the- the Venjix barricade!" Ziggy yelled as giant sized lasers and metal walls appeared from the ground, pointing at them. Then lots of Grinders also appeared and began shooting their lasers at them. Hot Shot passed the Grinders and threw another bolt bomb at the Grinders, which obviously exploded, taking out the Grinders.

"We can still turn back. We can still turn back! We can still turn back!" Ziggy yelled. He was freaking out. Hot Shot kept throwing those bolt bombs at the Grinders who just keep appearing. Ziggy began talking nonsense to a lollipop.

"Relax, Ziggy. Breathe. We won't die. But I am a bit worried about the car shaking." Bella said

"Just hand me more thermix charges." Hot Shot said

"So that's what they're called." Bella thought. Ziggy grabbed one from between his feet and accidentally activated it.

"That's not good, is it?" Ziggy asked. Then Hot Shot took a hard turn, which caused Ziggy to let the bomb slip from his hands to Bella's lap.

"And that's got to be worse." Ziggy said

"It's ok, Ziggy. Just hold on tight and let him drive. I got this." Bella said. She made her way to the door and opened it.

"What are you doing?!" Ziggy asked

"Just shut your eyes and think that you're on a rollercoaster. And Hot Shot, do not stop this car." Bella said. Hot shot looked in the mirror. Bella's back was facing him. She was risking her life.

"Call me Dillon." Hot Shot said

"What?" Ziggy asked

"My name, you can call me 'Dillon'." Dillon said

"Well then, Dillon, nice to meet you." Bella said

"It's nice knowing you, Dillon." Ziggy said. Bella returned her focus to the barricade.

"Bella, now!" Dillon said. Bella didn't hesitate and threw the bomb. For a man she just met, she trusts him. Part of the barricade exploded wide enough so the car could get through the city gates that were opened. When they got inside, Dillon stopped the car.

"They knew we were coming." Bella said

"I'm alive. We made it." Ziggy said. Then they heard machinery.

"Not yet." Dillon said. They turned back to see more Grinders and a different machine. It must be leading the Grinders. Then another trio arrived at the scene. Two boys and a girl, just like them.

"They grabbed a weird phone and inserted a square like disk in the phone. All of a sudden, they were wearing red, blue, and yellow spandex.

"What the..?" Bella has never seen people who could do what she just saw. Bella, along with Dillon and Ziggy, watched the colorful trio fight Venjix creations. After they defeated all the Grinders with their weapons and skills, they moved onto the bigger one. They went to attack with new weapons they conjured up with only a push of a button on their belts.

"Now that's what I'm talking about. Go, Rangers!" Ziggy yelled

"Wait, 'Go' what?" Dillon asked

"Rangers." Ziggy said

"Excuse me?" Bella asked. She didn't know who or what these 'Rangers' were.

"Power Rangers." Ziggy said. Dillon looked at Ava through the mirror with confusion. Bella looked at Dillon with confusion too. Then they looked at Ziggy and asked the same question.

"What's a Power Ranger?"
