Power Morphicon pt 1
~Bella's outfit~
The convention center was buzzing with excitement. Fans dressed as every color Ranger swarmed the halls of Power Morphicon 2024, sharing their love for the franchise that had defined generations. Among them was 16-year-old Bella Vaughan, a nervous but determined presence amidst the crowd. Her brown hair was neatly tied back, and her jacket bore the RPM emblem—a tribute to her favorite Ranger team.
Bella had waited months for this day, her chance to meet Dan Ewing, the actor who played Dillon in Power Rangers RPM. Dillon had been her favorite character for years—not just because of his bravery but because of their shared history. In her darkest moment, when Bella had been rescued from human trafficking, she had clung to the strength Dillon embodied. That strength had given her hope.
Her parents, Nicole and Ted, flanked her protectively as they made their way toward the meet-and-greet area.
"You okay, sweetie?" Nicole asked, glancing at Bella's trembling hands.
Bella nodded, though her heart raced. "I'm just... excited. And nervous. I hope I don't mess this up."
Ted chuckled. "You've got nothing to worry about. Just be yourself. You'll do great."
When they reached the line, Bella finally caught sight of him. Dan Ewing was standing at the autograph table, his easy smile and warm demeanor making fans feel at ease. Bella inhaled sharply, her nerves spiking as she stepped forward.
"Hi there!" Dan greeted, his Australian accent wrapping around the words like a hug. "What's your name?"
"Bella," she managed, her voice soft but clear.
Dan's smile widened. "Nice to meet you, Bella. You a big RPM fan?"
Bella nodded quickly. "It's my favorite season. Dillon is my favorite character."
"Well, you've got great taste," Dan said with a wink. "What do you love most about Dillon?"
Bella's cheeks flushed. "He... he never gave up, no matter what Venjix threw at him. He fought for the people he cared about. He made me feel like... like it was okay to keep fighting, too."
Dan's expression softened as he leaned forward. "That's amazing, Bella. It sounds like you've been through a lot. I'm really glad Dillon's story could mean so much to you."
Before Bella could reply, the lights flickered. The room dimmed, and a low hum began to rise. Then, with a deafening crash, the convention center shook. People screamed as a section of the wall near the main stage exploded inward.
Through the rubble stepped the unmistakable figures of Grinders, their metallic bodies gleaming under the fluorescent lights. Fans scattered in panic, and Bella froze, her eyes widening in disbelief.
"Grinders?" Dan said, standing abruptly. "What the—this isn't supposed to happen."
Then, another figure emerged from the dust—a man with a dark leather jacket and a fierce, determined expression. Dillon. The real Dillon.
Bella's breath caught in her throat. She recognized him immediately, but this wasn't Dan Ewing. This was Dillon, the Black RPM Ranger, stepping straight out of her favorite show and into reality.
Dillon didn't hesitate. He raised his RPM Blaster and fired at the advancing Grinders, taking them down with calculated precision. As the last one fell, Dillon turned toward the stunned crowd, his eyes locking onto Bella.
"Bella?" he said, his voice low and filled with confusion. "What are you doing here?"
Bella took a shaky step forward. "I... I don't know. I was just... meeting Dan, and then—" She gestured to the chaos around them.
Dillon's gaze shifted to Dan, who looked equally stunned. The two men stared at each other, mirror images in some ways, but unmistakably different.
"This can't be real," Dan muttered, running a hand through his hair. "You're... you're me. Or I'm you?"
Dillon didn't answer, his attention snapping back to Bella. "Are you okay?"
Before she could respond, another ripple of energy coursed through the room. This time, two women appeared in the middle of the hall, their regal postures and familiar faces leaving no doubt as to who they were.
"Carter?" Bella whispered.
"Yes," Carter Mason replied, her voice calm and authoritative. Beside her stood Rosalinda Montoya-Fioré—Rosie—her expression equally poised.
Behind them, two more figures stepped forward. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.
"Okay, what is this?" Demi said, looking between Carter and Rosie. "Are we seeing double, or are they... us?"
"They're not us," Selena replied, narrowing her eyes. "They're real. Like, from the movie. Which... makes no sense."
Carter stepped toward Bella, her expression softening. "Bella. You know who we are, don't you?"
Bella nodded slowly. Memories she didn't recognize began flooding her mind—memories of another life as Bella Mason-Montoya-Fioré, the daughter of Carter and Rosie in another dimension.
~Flashback-Bella's outfits below~
The scene unfolded in the grand palace of Costa Luna. A younger version of Bella, just four years old, walked beside her mother Rosalinda, who wore an elegant coronation gown. Bella, with her soft brown curls and hazel eyes filled with wonder, looked up at her mother, her tiny hand clutching Rosalinda's.
"Her Royal Highness, Rosalinda Maria Montoya Fioré, princesa de Costa Luna," a man's voice boomed as they walked into the throne room. "And you're walking and walking as your adoring subjects welcome you."
Rosalinda sighed lightly, glancing down at her daughter with a small smile. "Demetri, my coronation's one month away. Why do we have to practice now?"
"Ah, the rehearsal is so that everything will be perfect," Demetri replied, bowing before leaving them.
Mr. Elegante, the royal dressmaker, approached, his eyes sparkling with admiration. "Princessa, what a beautiful coronation dress you are wearing. Who may I ask designed it?"
"You did, Mr. Elegante," Rosalinda replied with a smile.
"So I did. I am brilliant, no?"
"Yes!" Rosalinda answered.
Four-year-old Bella tugged on Rosalinda's sleeve. "Mommy Rosie, we look fabulous together, don't we?"
Rosalinda chuckled, crouching down to her daughter's level. "Yes, we do, sweetheart." She kissed Bella's forehead before standing back up.
Across the room, a conversation unfolded between Major Joe Mason and Queen Sophia, Rosalinda's mother.
"Thank you for helping Rosalinda," Sophia said softly. "Now that my husband has passed away, only she can become queen of Costa Luna. But it is so much for someone so young, and I'm afraid that General Kane might take advantage of that."
Major Mason nodded solemnly. "I'll be here, Sophia. I'll protect her like she's one of my own."
"I know you will, Major Mason. I know you will," Sophia replied with a grateful smile.
The sound of music filled the throne room, signaling the start of the rehearsal.
"Sounds like your music," Major Mason said as Sophia stepped away to join her daughter.
Rosalinda and Bella walked to the throne, hand in hand, where Sophia and the archbishop waited.
"Turn to face your subjects, Rosalinda," the archbishop instructed. "Honored guests, family and friends, I present to you, Princesa Rosalinda Maria Montoya Fioré, heir to the throne of Costa Luna."
Rosalinda removed her tiara as the archbishop prepared to place the crown on her head.
"She is willing to be your queen," the archbishop announced. "If any person has a reason to object, let him step forward and be heard."
Suddenly, a man pulled out a sword and threw it toward the throne. It landed with a clang, the crown dangling precariously from the edge of the chair. Gasps filled the room.
"I object," declared General Kane as he stepped forward.
Four-year-old Bella frowned, stepping slightly in front of her mother. "Why do you object now? This is just a rehearsal, sir."
Kane sneered. "Because the princesa is too young to be queen. Costa Luna and Costa Estrella are two tiny countries who must unite and stand together against the world. Therefore, for the good of both our countries, I, General Magnus Kane, declare myself El Presidente de la Republica de las Costas. Seize them!"
Bella's eyes widened. "You've got to be kidding me."
Major Mason, who had been watching from the side, stepped forward. "The time is now," he whispered to Sophia.
Sophia turned to Rosalinda and Bella, her expression urgent. "Go now with Major Mason. Go now!"
Rosalinda hesitated, pulling Bella closer. "Who are you? Where are you taking us?"
Major Mason crouched down to their level. "I'm here to protect you, but you need to trust me."
"But what about my mother?" Rosalinda asked.
"She's going to meet us, but we need to hurry," Major Mason assured her.
"Are you all right, Mama?" Rosalinda asked, her voice trembling.
"Yes, yes, darling, yes," Sophia replied. "I knew General Kane would try something like this, so I made a plan to protect you two. You must trust Major Mason—or in Bella's case, Grandpa Mason. You must do everything he says. Do you promise me you will do that?"
Rosalinda nodded. "Yes, Mama, I promise."
Four-year-old Bella looked up at her grandmother with wide eyes. "Wait, what? Did I miss something?"
"We need to move," Major Mason urged.
Bella clutched Rosalinda's hand tightly. "I can see this is urgent, but I still have questions."
"Mama, where are we going?" Rosalinda asked.
"No, not we, mija. You two," Sophia said firmly. "The General will say you abandoned the country, but I must stay, so the people know that you will return when it's safe."
"Not without you," Rosalinda protested.
Sophia knelt down, handing Rosalinda a locket. "Here. So, no matter what happens, you never forget you are a princess. Don't worry, mi reina bonita, we will be together very soon."
Sophia kissed Rosalinda's forehead. "Go now."
Major Mason gently guided them toward the exit. "We gotta go now. Let's go."
The memory shifted to later, when Rosalinda—now Rosie—stood awkwardly in a small American kitchen. Four-year-old Bella peeked out from behind her skirt, her curious eyes landing on Carter, Major Mason's daughter.
"Hello," Rosie said nervously.
"Hey," Carter replied, stopping in her tracks. She turned back to Rosie, squinting. "Who are you?"
"Rosa—uh, Rosie," she stammered.
Carter tilted her head. "Didn't we meet once during a summer vacation or something?"
Rosie nodded quickly. "Yes, we hung out together then and apparently had her from us." She gestured toward Bella.
"Hi," Bella chirped. "Mommy Carter, right?"
Carter's eyes widened. "Uh... yeah."
~End of flashback~
"I remember," Bella whispered. "You're... my other moms."
Rosie smiled gently. "That's right. And we're here for you, mija."
Nicole and Ted exchanged bewildered looks but didn't interrupt.
Selena crossed her arms, her gaze shifting to Dillon. "Okay, someone explain. Who's the guy with the blaster, and why does he look like an edgier version of Dan?"
Dillon ignored her, his attention solely on Bella. "We need to get you somewhere safe. Whatever's happening, it's not over."
Bella looked between Dillon and Dan, her heart torn. Both of them felt so familiar, so important.
"I'm staying with you," she said firmly. "Both of you."
Dan blinked. "Both of us?"
Demi snorted. "Well, that's new."
Carter stepped forward. "There's more at play here than we understand. But one thing is clear—Bella is at the center of it."
As another wave of energy rippled through the room, Bella braced herself, knowing her life was about to change forever.
Bella's head swam as the memories surged into her mind, overwhelming her. They weren't just flashes of another life—they were vivid, tangible experiences. She saw herself as Bella Mason-Montoya-Fioré, growing up in a world far different from her own, loved fiercely by Carter and Rosie. She saw Carter teaching her self-defense, her sharp commands softened by her maternal care. Rosie's gentle guidance echoed through Bella's mind as she remembered her singing lullabies in Spanish.
She remembered a family dinner, full of laughter, where Carter teased Rosie about her inability to make tamales, only for Rosie to retaliate by challenging her to a cooking contest. The love they shared radiated through every moment, filling Bella's heart with warmth and pain.
But these weren't just memories; they felt real. They belonged to her, just as much as her life with Nicole and Ted.
Dillon stepped closer to Bella, his intense gaze locked on hers. "What's going on with you? You look like you're about to pass out."
Bella clutched her head, her voice shaking. "I... I remember things that aren't mine—another me, another life. Carter and Rosie—they're my moms, but they're not my moms. And it's all... too much."
Carter reached for Bella's shoulder, her touch grounding. "It's okay, sweetheart. Breathe. One step at a time."
Dan joined them, his usual carefree charm replaced by genuine concern. "Hey, Bella, whatever's happening, we'll figure it out. You're not alone in this."
Bella glanced between the two men. Dillon, with his protective intensity, was someone she trusted with her life. He had saved her from the nightmare of trafficking, pulling her out of hell and giving her a reason to believe in herself again. But now there was also Dan, with his warmth and charisma. He wasn't Dillon—not entirely—but he was someone she felt drawn to.
Her heart raced as she tried to process her feelings. Could she really be falling for both of them?
"Bella," Dillon said softly, his voice grounding her. "You've been through worse than this. Whatever's happening, you're strong enough to handle it."
Dan smirked lightly, trying to lighten the tension. "Yeah, and you've got two versions of me to back you up. Can't go wrong with that."
Bella laughed despite herself. "You're not the same."
Dan raised an eyebrow. "Is that a compliment or...?"
Dillon gave him a pointed look. "Let's focus on keeping her safe. You can work on your ego later."
Bella smiled faintly, her heart tugged in two directions. Both Dillon and Dan offered her something unique, and she couldn't deny how much she cared for them both.
As Bella tried to steady herself, more memories cascaded through her mind. She remembered standing with Carter and Rosie as they fought to protect her during a political uprising. Carter had shielded her with her own body while Rosie negotiated with calm authority, de-escalating the situation.
Then came a memory of her Counterpart Bella Mason-Montoya-Fioré attending a royal ball, where she met other young royals protected by the Princess Protection Program. She recalled the pride in Carter's eyes and Rosie's whispered encouragement as she stepped onto the dance floor.
Those memories merged with her current life—her parents Nicole and Ted helping her recover from the trauma of trafficking, their unwavering support and love. Bella felt torn between two worlds, two sets of parents who had shaped her in profound ways.
"I don't know who I am anymore," Bella whispered, tears streaming down her face.
Carter knelt in front of her, taking her hands. "You're both, Bella. You're my daughter, Rosie's daughter, and Nicole and Ted's daughter. No one can take that from you."
Rosie added softly, "Your heart is big enough to hold all of it, mija. You don't have to choose."
Nicole stepped forward, her own eyes misty. "Bella, we're here for you no matter what. Nothing will ever change that."
Bella looked between all of them, a tentative smile forming. "Thank you... all of you."
Selena Gomez folded her arms, her gaze flicking between Carter and Rosie. "So, let me get this straight. You two are... from another dimension? And you're her moms?"
Carter nodded firmly. "Yes."
Demi snorted. "And we're... what, the Walmart versions of them?"
Rosie smiled kindly. "I wouldn't say that. You're unique in your own ways."
Selena smirked. "I'll take that as a compliment."
Demi turned to Bella. "Well, if you need advice about juggling multiple universes, let us know. We've handled worse in Hollywood."
Bella laughed softly, the tension in her chest easing. "Thanks. I might take you up on that."
Selena winked. "You've got this, kid."
Before they could process further, the room shook again. A new wave of Grinders poured in, their mechanical limbs clanking as they advanced.
Dillon immediately stepped forward, raising his RPM Blaster. "Stay behind me!"
Dan hesitated, then grabbed a nearby prop sword from a fan's cosplay. "Guess I'd better put my stunt training to use."
Carter and Rosie exchanged a look, both pulling out weapons of their own.
"You think we're just going to sit this one out?" Carter asked with a smirk.
Rosie added, "We've got your back, Bella."
Bella, now more resolute, stepped forward. "No. We've got each other's backs."
With her memories, her families, and her growing strength, Bella realized she was more than just a survivor. She was a fighter, and together, they would face whatever came next as the tremor of Grinders approaching sent a ripple of tension through the room.
Bella stood in the center of her newfound family, her heart racing. But this time, it wasn't fear that consumed her—it was determination.
Dillon raised his RPM Blaster, his expression hard as he stepped forward. "Grinders don't stop unless you make them stop. Stay back!"
Dan gripped the prop sword tightly. "Not exactly Venjix tech, but I can improvise. Let's see if these things are as breakable as they look."
Selena and Demi darted behind a nearby table, both shouting in unison. "We'll stay out of the way!"
Carter smirked, pulling out her combat knife. "Like hell I'm letting these tin cans walk all over us."
Rosie grabbed a metal chair, her stance surprisingly confident. "We've handled worse, Carter."
As the Grinders poured into the convention hall, chaos erupted. Fans screamed, scattering to safety, while cosplayers brandished their makeshift weapons in a futile attempt to help.
Dillon dove into the fray, blasting Grinders with precision. Each shot sent sparks flying as the robots crumpled to the ground. Dan followed close behind, swinging the prop sword with surprising effectiveness, cracking open a Grinder's head with a loud clang.
Bella found herself frozen for a moment, the memories of her Counterpart flashing through her mind. Bella Mason-Montoya-Fioré would have stepped up, fought without hesitation. But could she do it?
"Bella!" Dillon's voice cut through her doubt. He tossed her an extra RPM Blaster. "You've got this!"
Her fingers closed around the weapon instinctively. She nodded, stepping forward. With her first shot, she took down a Grinder, its mechanical parts scattering across the floor.
Carter and Rosie fought side by side, their movements fluid and synchronized. Carter slashed through a Grinder's wires while Rosie slammed another with the chair, finishing it off with a swift kick.
"You were right," Rosie panted. "I'm more of a lover than a fighter."
Carter grinned. "Good thing I'm both."
Dan chuckled from across the room. "Can we all agree Carter's the scariest one here?"
As the battle raged, Bella felt something shift inside her. The memories of her Counterpart weren't just merging—they were strengthening her. She could feel Carter's training guiding her movements, Rosie's calm voice helping her focus.
Her movements became sharper, more confident. She ducked under a Grinder's swinging arm, firing a blast into its chest. Another lunged at her, and she spun out of the way, shooting it down mid-turn.
Dillon noticed her precision, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Not bad, Bella."
Dan grinned. "Not bad? She's kicking more ass than you are, mate."
Bella laughed, adrenaline coursing through her. "Keep up, guys!"
With a final coordinated effort, Dillon, Dan, Carter, Rosie, and Bella took down the last of the Grinders. Sparks and smoke filled the air as the robots lay in pieces around them.
The crowd erupted in applause, though most still hid behind tables and displays.
Selena peeked out from behind the table. "Is it safe now?"
Demi followed her, brushing off her jacket. "We were this close to jumping in, you know."
Carter raised an eyebrow. "Sure you were."
Rosie laughed, shaking her head. "Let's not scare them off, Carter."
As the group gathered their breath, Bella found herself standing between Dillon and Dan. Both were watching her, their expressions filled with a mix of admiration and curiosity.
"You've been holding out on us," Dan teased. "Didn't know you had moves like that."
Dillon crossed his arms, his smirk softening into something gentler. "Told you you're stronger than you think."
Bella's cheeks flushed as she looked between them. Dillon had always been her anchor, the one who saved her from her darkest moments. But Dan—he had a lightness about him, a charm that made her feel like she could breathe again.
Her heart tugged in two directions.
Dillon noticed her hesitation, stepping closer. "Bella, you don't have to decide anything right now. Just... know I'm here. Always."
Dan smiled, leaning casually against a table. "And I'm not going anywhere, either. Take your time, kid."
Bella nodded, her emotions swirling. "Thanks. Both of you."
As the group regrouped, Carter and Rosie approached Bella.
"You were amazing out there," Carter said, pride shining in her eyes.
Rosie added, "We're so proud of you, mija."
Bella's real-world parents, Nicole and Ted, joined them, their faces filled with relief. Nicole hugged her tightly. "We were so worried about you."
Ted ruffled her hair. "But we should've known you'd come out on top."
Bella looked around at the people who cared about her—her two sets of parents, her two potential loves, and even her unexpected new friends, Selena and Demi. For the first time in a long while, she felt whole.
But as the dust settled, a low hum echoed through the room. The remnants of the Grinders began to spark, their pieces twitching unnaturally.
Dillon tensed, raising his weapon. "Looks like this isn't over."
Dan frowned. "What now? A bigger robot?"
Bella stepped forward, her RPM Blaster still in hand. "Whatever it is, we'll face it together."
And for the first time, she wasn't afraid.
As the defeated Grinders began to twitch and spark, the room fell into a tense silence. Fans murmured uneasily, and Bella felt a chill creep up her spine. Dillon stepped protectively in front of her, his weapon poised.
"They're reactivating," he muttered. "Venjix tech always has a backup plan."
Dan stood shoulder-to-shoulder with him, gripping the battered prop sword like a real weapon. "Great. Just when I thought we could enjoy a break."
Suddenly, the scraps of metal started merging together, forming a massive new creature. Its glowing red eyes scanned the room as it let out a mechanical roar.
"Perfect," Carter said dryly, stepping forward with Rosie. "Guess we're not done playing hero today."
Bella's heart pounded, but she clenched her fists, summoning the courage she'd found during the first battle. She glanced at Dillon and Dan, both of whom gave her encouraging nods.
"You're with us," Dillon said firmly.
Selena and Demi hurried over, their expressions a mix of terror and determination.
"We might not have weapons," Selena said, "but we're not running."
"Speak for yourself!" Demi hissed, but when Bella gave her a pleading look, she sighed and muttered, "Fine. I'm staying."
Nicole and Ted stepped forward as well.
"Be careful," Nicole said, gripping Bella's shoulder. "We believe in you."
Bella smiled at her parents, her confidence growing. She turned back to Dillon and Dan. "What's the plan?"
Dillon smirked. "Same as before. We smash it until it stops moving."
Dan raised his hand. "I vote for a smarter plan."
The monster lunged, scattering the group. Dillon fired his blaster, his shots hitting its joints, while Dan focused on its legs, using his makeshift weapon to try and topple it. Carter and Rosie worked together seamlessly, using their combat experience to land precise blows.
Bella darted around the battlefield, firing her blaster at weak points Dillon pointed out. Her movements were sharper now, almost instinctive, thanks to the memories of her Counterpart.
"Bella, left flank!" Dillon called.
Without hesitation, Bella dove to the side, firing a well-placed shot that caused the monster to stumble.
"That's my girl!" Dillon shouted, grinning.
Dan laughed, landing a hit on the creature's leg. "She's making us look bad, mate!"
As the battle raged, Selena and Demi managed to pull some stranded fans to safety, shouting words of encouragement to Bella as they went.
"Go, Bella!" Selena yelled.
"You've got this!" Demi added, her earlier fear replaced by admiration.
The monster, though damaged, was still dangerous. Bella noticed a glowing core in its chest—the source of its power. She glanced at Dillon and Dan, then at Carter and Rosie.
"I can take it out," she said.
Dillon's eyes widened. "Bella, that's too dangerous!"
"I can do it," she insisted, her voice steady. "Trust me."
Dillon hesitated, then nodded. "Okay. We've got your back."
Dan stepped beside him. "Let's give her an opening."
With a coordinated effort, the group distracted the monster, drawing its attacks away from Bella. She darted through the chaos, her heart pounding as she aimed her blaster at the core.
This is for everyone who's ever doubted me, she thought.
With a final, determined shot, the core exploded, sending the monster crashing to the ground.
Cheers erupted from the crowd as the threat finally ended. Dillon ran over to Bella, his relief evident as he pulled her into a hug.
"You were amazing," he said softly.
Bella blushed, her heart racing. "I couldn't have done it without you."
Dan joined them, grinning. "I'm officially jealous. Can I get a hug too?"
Bella laughed, hugging him as well. Her feelings for both of them swirled inside her, but for now, she was content to simply enjoy the moment.
As the group regrouped, Carter and Rosie approached Bella, their pride evident.
"You've got a warrior's spirit," Carter said, her voice filled with admiration.
Rosie added, "And a heart just as strong. We couldn't be prouder."
Nicole and Ted joined them, tears in their eyes.
"You're our hero, Bella," Nicole said.
Ted nodded. "Always have been, always will be."
Bella's eyes filled with tears as she looked at her two sets of parents. "Thank you... all of you."
As the dust settled, Dillon approached Bella, his expression thoughtful.
"I've been through a lot," he said quietly. "But meeting you has been one of the best things that's ever happened to me."
Dan stepped beside him, his smile soft. "Same here. You're one of a kind, Bella."
Bella looked between them, her emotions swirling. She knew she had a choice to make eventually, but for now, she was happy to have both of them by her side.
In the distance, Selena and Demi watched with smiles on their faces.
"She's going to be okay," Selena said.
Demi nodded. "Better than okay. She's unstoppable."
