Benson aspired to be like his father, both having extreme IQ's. Benson was Ten years old when his family was held hostage in their own home for five days. Benson watched as his father was butchered in front of him, days before they were rescued. After that night Benson would have severe nightmares, he would hear his fathers voice. His father would whisper in his ear about mean, cruel criminals. His father would tell him about what would happen, he would see it on TV days later. These would lead to manic episodes, he was hospitalised multiple times. In time he learned to use it. He went to school, using his almost super human intelligence to exceed his classes, graduating years earlier and earning a job in the top FBI behaviour analysis unit. He's a genius.
