Backstory:

Carson married out of high school to his husband at nineteen and was married for thirteen years. He entered the army a year after being married and served for ten years where he would visit his husband whenever he could before being discharged due to his mental health slowly degrading.
From what he had thought was a healthy marriage had unknowingly been crumbling away when he went to surprise his husband when he found a car that didn't belong to either of them. He was disgusted when he found out his husband had been cheating.
Instead of confronting his husband his played it on for three more years, recording his husband and his mistress. On their anniversary he showed his husband the videos before shooting him in the head, soon going after his husbands mistress.
