Mari's POV

I and Adrien are in the cinema. We decided to watch a superhero movie because we thought that the rom-coms were too cheesy. We finished the movie when I realise that I left my phone there.

"Hey, I left my phone inside. Could you wait while I go search for it?"

"Sure thing, Marinette," Adrien replied

I went inside and went to the row where Adrien and I had sat. I searched and searched but couldn't find it.

"Looking for this?" a voice asked.

I looked up and saw a boy as tall as Adrien holding my phone

"Oh my God, thank you!" I launched at him and gave him a hug, but as I was about to release him, he held me tighter.

"Umm... what are you doing?" I asked

The boy smiled and said, "I like warm hugs"

Before I could react though, I saw Adrien dropping an ice-cream

"Marinette?"

"Adrien! It's not what it looks like!" I try to assure him, but he backs away.

"What doesn't it look like? You are obviously cheating on me! I'm sorry but we can't be together anymore, Marinette," Adrien said before leaving

"What? Adrien, no!" I yelled but he had already left. I turned to meet the boy who was smiling. "What have you done?"

"I thought you needed a new boyfriend. Care to be mine?"

"Never! You just ruined my life! Adrien is the best boyfriend you could ask for and now we aren't together anymore, because of you!" I yelled at him

Then I heard clapping of hands and saw a sausage-haired brat walking over to us

"Well played, James! I knew you would do so well!" she said. "Here's your 30 Euros."

"Lila! I should have known!" I yelled. I was about to give her the beating of a lifetime until I heard a voice.

"Nice to see you again, Queen Justice!"

Before I knew what was happening, I became Queen Justice again, shooting lightning beams at Lila.

Suddenly, as I was about to strike Lila, she grabbed Adrien and used him as a human shield!

"Adrien! No!" I yelled

"What have you done, Queen Justice? You've ruined everything!" yelled ShadowMoth before he cut the connection, taking my powers with him.

"Adrien! NO!" I cried.

"Marinette, I just wanted to tell you that I...."

Splash!

I look up and see Tikki and Alya each holding a bucket of water.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!" I yelled at them

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry, Marinette," Alya said

"Thank you Alya! Now I can get some rest since it is..."

And when I look at the clock my world comes to an end

"9:42!!!" I scream causing Alya to laugh.

"Geez, Marinette. It's like you've infected me with your lateness!" she said

"How come you're all dressed up?" I asked

"That's because I've tried to get you awake for an hour and forty-seven minutes!" said Alya

"Oh no! I'm so late! I'm so late! I'm so late!" I yelled at everything and practically everyone. "Alya. Tikki. Help me!"

"No biggies, girl! Go take a shower and I'll pick something for you to wear," said Alya before shoving me into the bathroom.

"Thanks, Alya. You're the best!" I said before closing the door. After about five minutes, I rush out with only a towel and grab my clothes before changing and rushing towards the door.

A few seconds later I was running to school with Alya hot on my heels. We both ran all the way upstairs and was about to go in when we heard the bell.

"DO we go in or not?" Alya asked

"Well, I think it would be okay not to go in. After all, we have Chemistry next. We could always go to meet Ms. Bustier at lunch and apologize," I suggested

"Great idea Marinette," Alya said.

We go to the lockers to put our stuff inside and get our Chemistry textbooks.

When we got to the Chemistry lab, Ms. Mendeliev was not there, so we decided to chill for a bit.

Ding

I looked into my phone and saw a message from our group chat.

Pigella: @Maribug @Foxy Where were you guys?

Maribug: We came late. Sorry. Anything happen while we weren't here?

Sunshine Boy: Oh nothing. Just an hour of having our ears bleed by lies. Morning, Princess!

Maribug: I said stop calling me Princess!

Sunshine Boy: It suits you

Skater Girl: And this was the highlight of the day XD

Skater Girl sent a recording

"Yeah, me and the princess of China are so close! We grew up together, but my family had to move to Italy. We had lots of picnics and we do a lot of video chats. I can't wait to be her Lady in waiting!

Alya and I looked at each other and burst out laughing.

Foxy: She seriously said that XD

Shelly: I couldn't stop laughing XD

Pigella: Wait... why are you guys lughing? You never know if she is being serious

Sunshine Boy: Rose, my dear Rose, our Princess is right here :D

Maribug: Are you kidding me Adrien?!

Skater Girl: Wait... MARINETTE'S THE PRINCESS OF CHINA?!!!

Foxy: Yup

Pigella: Okay if she's dragging your name into her lies we definately have to expose her.

Maribug: Guys, since we are going to China tomorrow, why don't we have a sleepover and plan how to expose her?

Foxy: Great idea! Btw, we are going shopping today! Courtesy of Adrien's credit card :)

Adrien: WHAT?!

Foxy: You have no choice. Or else you will be removed from the group and I will force Marinette to break up with you and order her guards to lock you up in a high tower in China where NO ONE, not even your poor excuse for your father can save you. So take it or leave it Adrien :)

Maribug: Alya, I love you. But could you stop harassing my future husband?

Shelly: Say what now?

Maribug: Umm.. oops?

Maribug: Okay guys, we have class now. Bye :)

Foxy: Are you trying to end this meeting because of what you just said

Maribug: Ms. Mendeliev just came in. So if you want detention after school, then be my guest. Bye guys.

Sunshine Boy: Bye, My Princess <3
