Chapter 48
*Tajwar Pov*
I slowly started stepping outside the room without making a sound, but suddenly felt someone's breath behind me making me turned around only to jump back.
"You startled me!" I mumbled glaring at Dileep.
"Where are you going, Bhai?" I heard the sound, but his lips didn't move and glanced behind him to see Aahil sitting up and not sleeping like I saw a few seconds back.
"Into the lake for a bath. Do you both wish to come?" I asked in a whisper, to which they both rolled their eyes.
"Fine! Whatever you do, we want to wish you the best of luck." Dileep said forwarding his hand.
"She shouldn't be hurt." Aahil mumbled and I sighed, nodding before successfully walking outside the room and walked near to the fields nearly running.
I rubbed my hands feeling cold and started waiting for her as it is past ten minutes of the time I told her to come here. Maybe she couldn't wake up! I thought, frowning, but decided to wait for five more minutes.
Then I saw her walking near to me covered in a small blanket. I smiled before reaching near her and pulled her more into the fields until we reached the tree I felt more comfortable to sit with proper rocks.
"Sorry! Nipuna and Amrin woke up and started saying to give you a chance and mainly Amrin." Mridula babbled the moment, we stopped rubbing her cheeks.
"I love you!" I whispered, hearing which she stopped her babble and started rubbing her hands.
"Happy first-year anniversary!" I added before she could say anything, and she just stared at me with a frown before her eyes widened.
"I forgot!" she whispered, covering her mouth.
"I too would have forgotten but there is one person who never made me do it at all." I mumble caressing her cheek.
"Who?" she asked, frowning and held my hand tightly with a tight grip.
"My assistant!" I replied, to which her grip tightened along with the frown making me laugh.
"He always says, Sir! From the past three months, you have changed as you got married. Sir! From the past six months, you are taking more leaves as you got married." I mumbled hearing, which she glanced down, removing her hold.
"That's how I remembered everything, and as you heard it is he, you need not to feel jealous." I added to which her cheeks warmed up, but she shook her head before hugging me.
"Wish you the same." She whispered as we both sat down with her blanket covering both of us from the mist.
"So, you called me here for this?" she asked when we sat in silence for a few minutes.
"Do you still doubt that I don't love you?" I asked staring at her face.
"It's not that I don't believe you, but it's just that I always felt it would never happen. So, I took all this time to let it sink in." she replied paying with my fingers.
"What do you mean by the word took and not taking?" I asked observing her words.
She smiled at me before mumbling "I love you!"
"You really?" I asked before I could give any reaction hearing her words.
"Do you also need a few days to let them sink in?" she asked, smiling more and I shook my head before pressing my lips to hers.
I moved my hands to her waist and pulled her onto my lap before kissing her more which she returned with the same passion and stopped when we were out of breath.
"Wait!" I mumbled before removing my hand from her skin and placed it behind the stone before pulling out a small bag.
"What is this?" she asked when I placed it in her hands.
"Anniversary gift which is not that big, but will give you something else later." I said while she opened it and saw a sari I bought from the village itself which is hand made.
"It is beautiful even though I can't see it properly with little light." She said smiling at me and hugged me.
"And, we need to watch this." I said, taking out my mobile and played the movie.
"You download movies, on your phone?" she asked frowning.
"No! However, I went to the city two days back and downloaded one with better signal after finding out your favorite movie for this day." I replied smiling.
"And we would have been doing all this in your room if they haven't come." I added grumbling to which she laughed and pecked my cheek.
"I will sit on the stone. You must be feeling pain." She said and tried to move away from my lap, but I held her with one arm already present around her waist.
"No! You will not be moving until I ask you to." I said, glaring at her, to which she nodded before settling more properly and laid her head on my shoulder as the movie started.
"Here!" I said, taking out two chocolates from my pocket and gave her one while I took one for myself. She frowned but started eating it, and we finished the movie little early forwarding the songs completely.
"Next?" she asked, moving her head to stare at me.
"Next will be this." I replied, kissing her again, and she chuckled before holding my face while kissing me back.
We moved away when we felt the rays of sunrise and leaned on to each other, and I felt happy seeing a bright smile on her face.
"Even though these are just a few hours, I couldn't ask for more wonderful hours like these." She mumbled hugging me.
"Surprise with a beautiful Sari and then going to a movie hall and then food from a restaurant. Did I miss anything else from the date you planned for my birthday all those months back, which I ruined?" I asked, and she stilled before moving back to stare at me.
"The Sari is here and we just watched a movie together. And I know chocolate is not for a restaurant food, but it will cover the dessert right?" I added when she didn't say a word.
"Why did you bring that up and what are you saying?" she asked frowning.
"I just wish to say that I will try as much as I can to make it up for the things I ruined or the times. This is one of it." I replied to which she stared at me for a second before smiling at me.
"I will also make up for the things I ruined for us." She said promising, and I nodded smiling.
"Marry me, Mridula!" I asked, placing a small flower of her favorite in her hand.
"You need not even to ask." She whispered back so simply that I sat stunned for a few minutes because I thought she wouldn't accept or feel like she may need more time.
"Are you sure?" I asked her to which she smiled at me.
"I love you and you love me. What else do I need?" she asked and I smiled before hugging her.
"We need to leave before someone comes here. All this will not be look fine in open space in a village." She mumbled and I nodded, getting up along with her and reached near to her house.
"I love you!" I mumbled waving to her and walked near to the room where I am staying after she walked inside.
"So?" Dileep asked the moment I stepped inside, and I again jumped back a step getting startled.
"So what? Will both of you never sleep?" I asked, frowning at the both before lying in my place.
"Will there be a wedding?" Aahil asked, folding his arms as usual.
"Yes!" I replied and closed my eyes before drifting off into sleep.
"There is a problem!" I never expected her to say those words standing before me when she has to actually be near to the pious fire joining me.
However, we both are standing near the entrance of the temple while everyone is inside as I walked out seeing her message to meet her here.
"What is the problem?" I asked frowning.
"After the marriage, we all will leave for the city right? I mean I can come here and visit them, but I don't know if it is good. I mean, no matter what I can't be here even once a month getting busy with life eventually." She replied fidgeting with her hands while I frowned more.
"And?" I asked, holding her hands.
"And I was never alone. I always had Aunty or Dileep with me even after leaving this place, but my parents were. I don't want them to be alone again." She replied, shaking her head, and I slowly smiled at her.
"Why are you smiling?" she asked frowning.
"Come with me!" I said, dragging her away from the temple and reached the car before getting her inside and started driving.
"Where are you both, Bhai?" Dileep asked when I lifted his call.
"We will be back within a few minutes." I replied, hanging up before stopping at the place I wanted to take her.
"What is this place?" she asked, frowning and glanced at me.
"My new branch!" I replied, staring at her and saw the expressions changing from one to another.
"What?" she finally asked, staring back at me.
"I believe it is time for opening a new branch and the work started two days back, and I have to come here every weekend. I thought I can't drive here alone, so why not bring my wife with me." I said grinning.
"So, you will be here in this village every time I come here, and you can meet your parents who live on the other end of the village." I added and she immediately hugged me with tears falling from her eyes.
"I can't believe this! I should have known that I need not to worry like this at all." She said hugging me more.
"So, shall we go back? Everyone must be waiting for us." I said when she moved back.
"Oh god! We will be getting late." She said, glancing at the time from her mobile.
After the wedding, we informed about it to everyone, and they all felt happy. In the evening, we started traveling back after assuring her parents that we will be visiting them within two weeks for sure.
"Have the Tiffin and then go to your rooms. No one will come and call you, particularly today." Mom said the moment we stepped inside the house, and we all nodded.
When we both stepped inside the room, she turned towards me and said, "Shall I go to the guest room and sleep?"
"Mridula! Don't kill me and come here." I said, pulling her to me after locking the door understanding her repeating the words I told her on the night we got married.
"It seems to be fun." She said laughing, but walked into my hold.
"Wait! I forgot one thing to ask, but stopped thinking we would get late for the wedding. What do you mean by you had Mom and Dileep?" I asked, raising my eyebrow at her.
"That! They were there with me when I came here and didn't make me feel alone at all." She replied frowning.
"What about me?" I asked, frowning back.
"We talked once before marriage, Tajwar." She said laughing.
"Fine! Now, I have another question." I said, staring at her.
"What happened to you? Why are you asking those many questions?" she asked sighing.
"We are going to start our life again and shouldn't leave anything. So, tell me, would you have liked it more if you got married to Dileep or Aahil and not me?" I asked staring at her.
"Actually, I would have felt so awkward. I nearly grew up with Dileep and then saw Aahil nearly everyday when I was a kid. It wouldn't have been normal to marry either of them. It would have been not normal to marry you if I saw you regularly too in the same house." She replied smiling.
"Now, as they all are clear." I said smirking at her.
"So?" she asked and I immediately lifted her up making her shriek and walked near to the bed.
"Don't you have any other question?" she asked, laughing when I hovered over her.
"Right now! I am really busy." I said, smiling before kissing her whispering to her my love and heard it back everytime I tell her.
"You don't have any regrets right?" I asked, staring at her face.
"I never had them before and will never have them ever." She replied smiling.
"And I think you will be an amazing father." She added, placing her hand over my chest.
"Even though if I am not, you will be there beside me right when we have one." I said shaking my head.
"We can try whenever you wish to, and I will never hurt you again." She said snuggling closer to me.
"I think we need more time for ourselves." I said pecking her forehead.
"Ok! But don't make Dileep name our child though." She said laughing, and I laughed with her shaking my head.
We both drifted off into sleep holding each other with a peaceful feeling in the heart of anticipating regarding the next wonderful moments in the life.
