*Mridula Pov*

I gave a small smile to him when he came into the room, returning from work and turned to pick out his clothes he can wear to have dinner with his family.

"I will go downstairs and arrange the table. I already placed the night wear for you and come downstairs when you wish to." I said, smiling before walking near to the door, but he stopped me by holding my hand.

"I didn't lie this time." I mumbled, turning to stare at him.

"Will you not stay here to make sure that I actually come downstairs for breakfast?" he asked raising his eyebrow.

"You promised me, Tajwar. And I trust you." I replied, smiling at him more before walking away when he released my hand.

"Dileep is also coming for dinner. Place his plate too." Aunty mumbled before staring at the main door.

"He is so late." She added mumbled to herself, and I calmly placed the plates and an extra one at Tajwar's old place.

After a few minute's Uncle and Aahil arrived, and I glanced up near to the stairs waiting for him and smiling to myself thinking how happy everyone will be as he is joining them for real this time.

"Is everything ok?" I heard a sound and turned to see Aahil standing near to me.

"More than fine!" I replied, smiling and he nodded, walking near to his place before settling down.

I heard Aunty talking to Dileep and again glanced up to see Tajwar climbing down the stairs slowly. I smiled more seeing that he is actually going to be here.

"What is it?" I heard another voice making me look away from him and glace at Dileep, who is frowning at me.

Why is everyone chosen to ask me such question today? I thought before realizing I was grinning like an idiot anticipating the shock and happiness they all will feel.

"See for yourself!" I replied and gestured behind him when Tajwar reached near to the table.

"You are amazing!" Dileep said with a grin before walking near to his place, and everyone realized that Tajwar is with them and stared at him in shock.

I can see the anger surfacing over his face, seeing the shocked looks, so I cleared my throat and shook my head after which he settled down at his old place.

"How is work, Tajwar?" Uncle asked, smiling at him.

"It is fine!" Tajwar replied, shrugging and everyone started talking to themselves making me sigh in relief, and I started serving food for them.

"How are you feeling now?" Aunty asked him slowly and he immediately stilled in his position.

"I am fine!" he replied in a whisper, but with a hard tone.

I glanced at Aunty and pleaded her to change the topic a little to which she nodded, understanding my signal looking away from Tajwar and glanced at Dileep and Aahil, who are talking to themselves.

"So, is she still with you?" Aunty asked and I immediately wish she didn't move to that topic.

"Amrin? She is with me. Why?" Dileep asked her frowning.

"You need to stop all this, Dileep." She replied shaking her head.

"What if she tries to tie you with her by doing something drastic?" she added and Tajwar closed himself, but at least didn't leave the table and continued to eat.

I don't know why is he anger at Amrin? Maybe he is also opposed to Dileep's way of living like Aunty and feeling anger towards her! I thought shrugging before settling myself in a chair and started having my food.

"So, how was it?" I asked him the moment we stepped inside the room, and he immediately pulled me into his hold tightly making it impossible for me to release myself from his hold.

"You owe me so much." He replied and I frowned at his words,

"I don't! They are your family, and I am not getting anything from all of this." I said shaking my head not liking his thought.

"You shouldn't lie like that, Mridula. You are just doing this so that Mom will back off you." he stated and I immediately started pushing him away so that I can take a step back.

"Stop! I just felt like a total stranger sitting there, and I am feeling the frustration about it." He added, but I shook my head, feeling hurt that he thinks I am doing this for some good name from Aunty or someone else.

"Leave me!" I said, pushing him away more, and he finally released me.

"You do not have to be there from tomorrow onwards, and you can even go to the office early in the morning. I was thinking about you and their happiness and of course mine too. Tomorrow onwards you can do as you wish." I said before walking near to the bed and lay on it.

I thought he would at least say that he was wrong or try to make me let go of the anger, but all he did was laying on the bed after switching off the light, and I heard his snore after a few minutes.

The next day, when I woke up early thinking, he may go to the office early, I glanced at his sleeping form and seems like he is not going to awake anytime soon.

However, I prepared all the food before packing it and decided to stay near the gardens as it was a long time since I spent any time taking care of them.

"Where were you?" he asked when I entered the room only to see him rubbing his eyes and looks like he just woke up.

"Garden!" I replied before taking back the carriage to heat the food again and returned at the same time when he finished getting ready.

He walked outside without saying a word, and I didn't say anything myself as well. The whole day I did everything I can to distract myself from the thoughts that are scaring me and making me feel I over reacted, but I really got hurt and I don't even know why.

When I was taking care of evening snacks and preparing the tea, I heard his voice and walked out to see him walking near to the stairs while Mom asking him how was his day and he was replying in single words.

Immediately a smile broke on my face, but I put it down and followed him to take out his clothes. After that I glanced at him to find that he is standing near the door with his folded arms.

"Everyone will have snacks in a few minutes. Will you join them?" I asked, looking away from his gaze.

"No!" he replied to which I nodded before stepping out of the room and reached the kitchen while everyone is already near the couch area except Dileep.

He too joined them when I started serving the snacks, and Aunyty asked him whether he is hungry to which he shook his head in negative before settling down.

"Where is Tajwar?" Aunty asked, turning towards me.

"In the room!" I replied frowning.

"Well, he should be joining us soon." she said and I slowly nodded before walking away thinking how can I tell her that he may not be even joining us for the dinner and snack time is out of the syllabus.

When I was standing near the dining area thinking about what shall be cooked for dinner, I heard some exchange of words between Aahil and Aunty but couldn't hear them properly.

Aahil walked near to the dining area to have some water and turned to leave the house, but I stopped him asking, "Are you ok?"

"Yes! I am fine." He replied, smiling before walking away while I stared at him in confusion.

I paced a little in the washroom while he is just doing his work, and I walked outside the room after freshening up for dinner thinking how will everyone react if he is not present.

"Where is Tajwar?" Aunty asked when I started arranging the plates, and I just stared at her hearing the question.

"That... I mean..." I stuttered, but stopped when I saw him walking near to us along with the others.

"This just means he really is changing right. I am really glad that he is." Aunty said with a happy tone and brushed her eyes before settling in her chair.

I just wanted to smile at him and hug him or even kiss him for coming here even though I released him from his promise. However, I didn't let any emotion show, which seemed to be more than difficult, but I tried.

"Look, I mean Mridula, I didn't mean those words, but they just came out when I was feeling frustrated and took it on you." He said the moment I lay on the bed joining him after returning to the room finishing the cleaning of everything.

I turned to stare at him and asked, "I released you from the promise, but you still came. And why did you not say these words yesterday?"

"I know you wouldn't have believed me, so I wanted to show you that I want to fulfill the promise no matter how hard it seemed." he replied making me feel my eyes filling with tears with happiness.

I hugged him tightly when he looked at me with a confused expression and moved a little back before kissing him which he returned immediately.

We both didn't stop ourselves and continued to caress each other, and I felt like I got hit by something magical right that moment.

After a few minutes, I realized what it was and felt happy that I am feeling this for him. When I moved back a little, I held his face between my hands.

"I love you!" I whispered, staring into his eyes.

"What?" he asked, frowning.

"I am in love with you!" I replied and hugged him tightly, letting this feel enter my whole body and started enjoying the happiness it is making me feel.

I love him so much! I thought and wished to shout to everyone, but settled to repeat it for him repeatedly, not stopping for a second until my mouth got fried.

I am glad that my heart is going crazy for him and wished to never let go of this magic. I just love him! I thought before closing my eyes.
