After a few minutes I looked up to find that she is not there, so I stepped away from the girl I am talking with and climbed the stairs to reach our room.

I frowned to myself removing the coat and repeated the words I uttered to her without any control over the anger. I shouldn't have said all those things to her, but still I am sure she didn't mind much except to give back some more retorts.

I shook my head and lay on the bed to sleep completely knowing that Mom will scold for walking away in the middle of the party.

"I am coming." I shouted, sitting up hearing the loud knocks on the door and glanced to my side to see an empty space.

Where is she? Did she already wake up? I thought, frowning and walked near to the door and opened it before the knocking starts.

"What is it?" I asked the servant rubbing my eyes.

"Madam is calling, Sir." He replied and walked away and followed him.

"What is it, Mom?" I asked her climbing down the stairs and stood before her to see Dad already there. And also Tajwar who is busy rubbing his head.

"Where is your wife?" She asked, folding her arms and stared directly at me.

"I..." I mumbled and glanced around to see no sight of her.

"Where is she?" I asked her back and immediately know it is definitely not a right move, seeing her face clearly becoming red with anger.

"What do you mean you don't know where your wives are?" She asked in a rage, and I wished I knew where Nipuna is.

"They must have gone out." Dad offered and I slowly nodded because maybe that's what happened and glanced a little to see Dileep joining us.

"The two women of this house are not here, and no one know's where are they. One son is in hangover while the other was just sleepy. Do you think you all are still kids?" She shouted at three of us.

Where did Mridula go with Nipuna? I thought and we tried to understand Mom's anger, but it would have been good if she let us go and search for them.

When I was still in the process to think where they can be, we felt a moment and turned to see both walking near to us.

"Where were you both?" Dad asked them when Mom didn't even open her mouth for a second.

Nipuna turned towards Mom with a frown and then at us before saying, "We were with Amrin in Dileep's flat."

"What?" I mumbled along with Dileep and Dad while Tajwar Bhai just frowned.

"Yes!" Nipuna replied while Mridula stayed silent.

"We will just go." She added, and they both walked away.

"No one of you should forget that there is a wife in your life, and she is your responsibility." Mom said after they left and walked away.

"Why were you there, Nipuna?" I asked following her to the kitchen.

"You go and get ready, Mridula. I will take care of the coffee." She mumbled and Mridula surprisingly nodded before walking away.

"I am asking you something." I mumbled holding her wrist.

"And I have work to do." She mumbled back, but didn't try to release her wrist except for continuing to walk near the stove making me release her myself.

After a few minutes, she started serving the coffee, and I shook my head for the cup to which she didn't even object but just walked outside to give it to Dileep.

"You can go and get ready, Nipuna. I can take care of everything." I heard Mridula's voice.

"Your wish!" Nipuna replied and started climbing the stairs, and I followed her.

"Now will you tell me what happened?" I asked, stepping inside the room.

"Why do you care? It is not like there is a big difference in your life if I didn't stay in this house for a few hours." She replied coldly, and I frowned before stepping near to her and lifted her chin.

"Is it about yesterday? I can tell you exactly what happened." I said in a low tone, but she swatted my hand away.

"What is there to say? You have a lover with whom you wish to spend your time with. You can go even sleep with her for all I care." She spatted and took a step to move away, but I was fast to hold her hair making her stare at me.

"For your kind information, I am not a cheating type. And I do not have a lover at all. In fact, you are the first, and only I have slept with after whole two years." I explained, but her eyes didn't waver.

"You are jealous." I mumbled teasingly breathing on her lips, thinking she will give back some retort.

"Yes! I am jealous." She stated and I literally took a step back but didn't release her.

"What? You think I am not brave enough to tell the truth?" She asked mockingly.

"I am sorry about yesterday." I whispered before pecking her lips.

"Now, I understand why you hate me so much." She whispered when I released her.

"What do you mean?" I asked her frowning.

"You have a crush on Mridula, who is like a flawless wife and daughter-in-law. So, you must be wishing for someone like her. But here I am the total opposite to your wishes." She replied before stepping inside the washroom and slammed the door in my face.

"I don't hate you." I said the moment she stepped outside.

"Good to know." She mumbled and walked outside after brushing her hair.

"Are you still not going to talk to me?" I asked her at night to which she turned away showing her back.

"Fine! I thought it sounded silly to have a crush on her, but never talk to her properly when I had it. So, I decided not to tell anyone about it." I started saying, and she turned a little to stare at me as I am already staring at her.

"However, it slipped from my mouth, and you got to know. I felt angry at myself for letting you know that silly thing, and then you were stopping me from walking away when I saw Mom with Amrin, which is not a good thing." I continued, and she frowned at me.

"I don't think it is silly." She mumbled, and I nodded.

"I know! But still I got angrier that you are stopping me and just lashed out whatever that came to my head. Nothing is true, but I just wanted to walk away, and I did. But then I made another mistake by flirting with a girl to do what I don't know." I said staring into her eyes.

"Why are you telling me all this?" She asked raising her eyebrow.

"To tell you that I was wrong to say those things, and that I shouldn't have done anything like that." I replied shrugging.

"Wow! Mr.Aahil Viswanth is wrong, and I can hear a cyclone from somewhere." She mumbled smirking.

"Cyclone?" I asked and pulled her to me making her shriek and laugh, but I didn't release her.

"Were you really jealous yesterday?" I asked her smiling.

"Jealous? Me? Not a chance." She replied, shaking her head.

"Really?" I asked her pestering kisses on her collarbone.

"Really!" She whispered circling her arms around my neck, making me smile on her skin.

"Tomorrow you have an appointment." I mumbled glancing up to see her frowning at me.

"You remember?" She asked in a surprise tone.

"Of course!" I replied, placing my hand on her bump and smiled at her, but she just stared at me with a blank expression for a few minutes.

"What is it?" I asked her frowning seeing a lone tear leaving her eye.

"Nothing!" She replied before hugging me tightly, and I let her still feeling confused for her reaction to remembering a normal thing.

"If you do not want me there, then I can understand." I said shrugging when we entered the hospital.

"I want you to hear more than anything." She mumbled tightening her grip on my hand.

"What is it?" I asked the doctor frowning when she frowned at the scan.

"Nothing much to worry, but it is better if you take care of yourself more, Mrs.Vishwanth. You are a little weak for the baby, and I am not talking about the physical strength." She replied, but I can see terror in Nipuna's eyes.

"Thank you." I mumbled and walked outside while she stayed silent.

"You will be fine." I said, tugging her hand, and she turned towards me before smiling at me.

"I know!" She whispered before tightening her grip again on my hand.

"I need ice cream." She suddenly said when we got inside the car.

"So, it is a date." I said smiling at her, and she nodded, but continued to stare at me before turning away.
