Ahsoka's POV
"This plan is stupid," I whispered to Piett who was standing on the balcony as I stood on the grass, fifteen feet under it.
His bright idea was to tie the bedsheets around the wolves and lower them down to me so I could take them to the stables. It was the dumbest idea I have ever heard and I would never have come out here if I knew this was his plan. But he had ordered me to come out here before sharing it, probably knowing I would not do it if he did.
A few seconds after my insult, his head appeared over the balcony and he stared down at me, his brown curls covering parts of his features, "Well, do you have a better idea lady Tano?" He asked with a raised brow.
I shrugged, "Maybe we could sneak them out under coats or blankets, or in a laundry basket." They all seemed like better ideas than this one.
He folded his arms against the railing and leaned forward, "And if they bark, then what?" He tilted his head and waited for my response, but of course, I did not have one.
I sighed in defeat before raising my arms up, "Fine drop down the first one, and please be quick with this. I can be seen from the party from here."
He smiled with a victorious glimmer in his eyes before disappearing, only to return seconds later with the white wolf that he held over the balcony, "And try not to worry about the party, everyone will be too busy having their eyes on the Princess, trust me."
That is true and I bet Anakin is having a wonderful time watching all the men fawn over her.
(Y/n)'s POV
"Back away! Give her some air!" Anakin shouted as he fanned my face with a napkin and I was trying my absolute hardest not to laugh. Thankfully the whispers around the room were enough to occupy my attention.
"Is she okay?"
"Poor thing must be so stressed from everything going on."
"I would faint too if I was dancing with King Anthony, do you think I have a chance?"
"His eyes are already set on the Princess, so I would not hold my tongue."
"Is the party going to be over?"
"I think I saw her drink four glasses of wine, she is probably just a sloppy drunk."
I knew that last voice all too well, a Princess from the kingdom of Hoth, Olivia. That little bitch from hell is the worst kind of person to exist, and it is all because of her obvious envy of me. She hates that my beauty surpasses her—in the eyes of society—and that my kingdom is larger and richer. So growing up, her and her little band of friends liked to tease me and just be straight bullies. They would avoid me at parties and not even invite me to theirs, making me the outcast. They are one of the reasons why I always prefer to be alone, it is what I am used to because of them.
Ahsoka and Padme were not always around.
And another reason I hate her is because of her obsession with Anakin. A lot of the girls here fawn over him, it is nothing new, but they do it privately—I can see them pretending to faint with their friends from afar or just plain stare.
But unlike them, she will have the audacity to approach him. She will even go as far as to try and drag him off alone somewhere. She has never succeeded thankfully since he always declines her advances, but she gets just a bit bolder every-time she comes around.
"How much longer must we do this?" Anakin whispered as he placed his hand over my forehead to pretend to check if I had a fever.
"Are they still out there?" I whispered back.
He was quiet for a moment before I heard him lightly gasp, "I think I just saw Piett fall off your balcony."
Ahsoka's POV
"Okay now stay," I told the second wolf I put down. The white one was an Angel, she sat by my side after I untied her and did not move a single muscle. And now the multi-colored one did the same, sitting obediently next to his sibling. Both of them were so well-behaved, you would think they were already professionally trained.
A few moments later, Piett started to lower the last one, the little black menace. This one was not coming down as easily as the others, he was attempting to bite the very sheets that were keeping him from falling. I sighed as I watched him spin in a quick circle and I grabbed him just when he was in reach. I gave him a moment to recover from his dizziness, before I untied him and set him down next to the two other wolves— which was a huge mistake.
Menace started to rile the other two up and the next thing I knew, all three were taking off down the field, away from the house, "Oh no."
On instinct I started to run after them, completely forgetting that I had the sheet in my hand. So I accidentally tugged on it hard enough to pull Piett over, and since he was already half-way over the balcony—yelling at me to go after them—it did not take a lot of strength to pull him over.
He yelped in surprise as he fell fifteen feet and landed on his back, knocking the wind out of him, "Oh my god, are you okay?" The wolves left my mind and I was at his side. I cupped his cheeks with my palms to lift his head from the ground. I checked for any injuries, but the only issues he seemed to be having was with his breathing. Which was not something I could aid him with, he would recover on his own in a minute or two.
"Get...wolves," He pushed out and my eyes widened.
"Oh shit," I stood up when I realized they were getting away and I turned around to run after the pups who were already halfway to the woods.

(Y/n)'s POV
"My daughter, are you okay?" My mother cupped my cheeks and turned my head in every direction as she inspected me.
I grabbed her wrists and pulled her hands off of me, "Mother I am fine, the stress of everything was just a bit overwhelming," I lied, "But I promise you, I am okay." After I awoke and recovered, Anakin placed me in my chair at the Royal table and sat in his designated spot next to me with a cup of water — selling the part as much as he could.
My mother sighed as she stood straight and fixed her dress that wrinkled form her bending over, "If you would like to go upstairs and rest, I will understand-"
"I am fine," I assured her again, "Go back with Dad and talk with your friends, I will call if I need you."
She looked hesitant to walk away, she always gets like this with me; overbearing and has an overreaction to the smallest of things, "I have my eye on her highness." Anakin assured her next and this time, she began to look a little more relaxed.
"Alright," She sighed, "I will be across the room if you need me, and finish that glass of water before you even think about standing up." She shot me a warning glare before elegantly walking off towards my father with her arms resting in front of her — she walked like she owned the world and I admired it.
"If you were not already bound to a throne," Anakin nudged the glass of water towards me with a subtle smile, "You would have been excellent in the theater."
I smiled back with a low chuckle and a head shake, "I doubt that. Many theaters require more than just acting skills; like dancing and singing for example and I can not do either."
"You are being modest," He rolled his eyes, "You sing like an angel and you dance like you were born for it."
I furrowed my brows as I took a sip of the water, "And how could you possibly know that?" I asked, setting the cup down.
He tilted his head, "I have been at your ballet lessons and you sing to yourself almost everyday." He said it was the most obvious thing in the kingdom.
"Oh," Now I felt foolish for asking. I completely forgot about my ballet lessons since I have not taken them in almost six months, and I do sing to myself, but I never knew my voice could be considered angelic, nor was I aware he heard me. "Well um," I cleared my throat and glanced down, "Thank you."
"You're welcome Prin-"
"Sorry to interrupt, but I wanted to come and check on the Princess, I hope you are feeling better." Anthony's voice cut off Anakin's, and I glanced up to make eye contact with his captivating gaze.
The smile he was holding was infectious, I found myself smiling back without even realizing it, "Yes I just got a little overwhelmed," I told him the same thing I have been telling everybody else, "But I am alright, nothing a little rest will not cure."
"Glad to hear it, I was hoping I could join you and we can finish having our conversation. There is still so much I would like to learn about you, but only if you feel well enough to." He added quickly, "We can do this another time-"
"No please stay, I do not mind your company at all," I said as I turned to face Anakin, "May we have the table?"
I watched him clench his jaw, but he did not put up an argument like I was worried he would. He simply nodded before standing up, "I will remain close by," He mumbled, walking away towards the dessert table where Padme was. She looked to be adding more plates of desserts in the places people had taken from to keep the table full.
The chair next to me creaked as Anthony sat down and I looked away from Anakin to give him my full attention, "I gave you that little speech yesterday about who I am, now it is your turn to tell me who you are."
I smiled, "Well, one of my favorite things to do is read, especially if I am out in nature. The sound of the birds is so calming that it makes it easier to focus. I love music, especially from string quartets, my favorite color is lilac, I visit my people at least once a week to see how they are doing, and I love archery and horseback riding." I gave him just the basics before taking another drink of the water given to me before I heard my mother nag from across the room.
Anthony raised a brow, "Archery? Impressive, I must see you shoot sometime."
"Next time you decide to pay me a visit, I can show you." I was confident he would be impressed by me, I was taught by the best after-all.
"Here you go," Padme walked up to our table and placed a piece of chocolate cake in front of me, and another in front of Anthony who looked down at it with delight in his eyes.
I furrowed my brows in confusion as I glanced up at my best friend, "As much as I love your baking Padme, why are you bringing me this?"
She looked confused as she pointed behind her to where Anakin was, and he was not alone, "Anakin said you wanted me to bring you..." Her words trailed off and I no longer heard anything she was saying because I was so focused on Anakin and Olivia.
She giggled at something he said and placed her hand on his chest, and he let her.
"I am so sorry Anthony, just give me one moment. I will be right back," I stood up and grabbed Padme to put her in the seat I was just in, "Keep our guest company for me." This way at least he will not be bored, and if I do happen to choose him to marry, then it would be good for him to know my best friend.
I power-walked away and made my way to the dessert table before stopping in front of them and folding my arms. I cleared my throat, "Anakin, I would love a word with you," I said with a smile and he snapped his eyes to me.
"Now?" He asked in a bored tone, and I glanced at Olivia's hand that was now on his arm.
"Hi (y/n), I am loving the party-"
"It is your highness to you," I cut off her condescending tone with a sharp attitude, "And yes Anakin," I grabbed his other arm and pulled her off of him, "Now. You can leave Olivia, I need a word alone with my guard."
She shot me a glare before walking off and leaving Anakin and I alone. She knew it was smart to listen, we are not children anymore, "What do you want? You are keeping your boyfriend over there waiting for—ow what the hell was that for?" He yelled after I smacked him on the arm.
"Stay away from Olivia," I demanded.
He folded his arms over his chest and tilted his head, his brows furrowing, "And why do you care who I talk to?"
"I can assure you, I do not care who you talk to. I just do not want you to talk to her, she is only going after you to get under my skin." I explained.
"Again," He raised a brow, "Why do you care?"
"I-" I paused when I realized I did not have an answer. I actually felt stupid and probably looked stupid for coming over here the way I did over this.
After a few moments of silence, Anakin smirked, "Oh I get it," His smirk slowly widened, "The Princess is jealous."
I awkwardly laughed as I felt an odd tightening in my chest, "How could I possibly be jealous? I can barely even stand you, let alone care about you enough to display jealousy." I rolled my eyes.
"Okay so you are not jealous then?" He tried to clarify with raised brows as he pointed at me and waited for a response.
I shook my head, "Nope, I could not care less what you do in your free time."
"Okay cool," He dropped his arm down with a nod before placing it in his pocket, "So I can do Olivia then and there will be no problems." He shrugged, "Right?"
Now he was just toying with me, "No Anakin, you can not sleep with my sworn enemy." I felt like I was having a tantrum because I had to resist the urge to stomp on the floor in a fit of anger.
"Sworn enemy?" He knitted his brows, "What is this? The medieval era?"
I groaned in annoyance, "She made my life hell growing up okay? And all she wants to do is get with you as a way of getting one over on me." She would tell everyone she was able to get into the pants of my sworn protector, I can not describe the embarrassment I would feel.
Anakin remained quiet for a moment as he looked to be in deep thought, then he nodded as he made a circle in the air with his finger tip, "And now we are going right back to the jealousy thing."
"You are not even-" I paused so I would not punch him in the throat. He is lucky there are people around or I would have done just that, "Listening." I finished with an exhale as I rubbed my temples, "Forget it, you are impossible to talk to." I spun around to walk away, but he grabbed my wrist and spun me right back.
"Do not walk away when we are in the middle of a conversation Princess."
"I am your superior," I narrowed my eyes, "So watch me." I pulled my wrist from his grip and the anger in his eyes returned. I went to walk away again, "I prefer talking to Anthony anyway, he is much easier and less annoying."
I barely got a few steps away when I felt something hit the back of my head, and the room filled with gasps. I slowly turned around to face Anakin before touching my hair and pulling out pieces of frosting and cake — my eyes widened when I saw it on my hand.
"Did you just throw cake at me?" I seethed through clenched teeth.
"Maybe," He shrugged with an innocent smile.
Many were looking surprised that he was not arrested for something like this. But of course, every guard here and even my parents are aware of how he and I can be. I already saw both of my parents power-walking over here to resolve it before it escalates.
But they were not going to reach us in time.
A waitress walked past me and she was carrying a tray which held some of Padmé's cupcakes, which I grabbed before tossing one at Anakin, hitting him right in the face.
He slowly wiped the frosting off before glaring at me, "If it is a fight you want Princess, then a fight is what you are going to get," He picked up another piece of chocolate cake with his bare hand and flung it in my direction.
