(Y/n)'s POV
"Three pups," Anakin sighed as we all looked down at the three siblings who were playing with each other on my closet floor, "What are we going to do with three pups?" He turned to look at me and I bit the inside of my cheek in thought.
"We are going to have to find someone to care for them, someone who will not harm them," I bent down and gently began to pet the white one, she was beautiful and probably my favorite out of the three. It had something to do with her white coat, it reminded me of a blanket of snow, and if there is anything I love more than my adventures in the woods — it is the beauty of snow.
Ahsoka had joined us moments after Anakin and I returned, and she knelt down next to me to pet the mixed colored one. The full black was hard to pet since he constantly tried biting our hands, he was tearing apart the dress I had them laying on as well. It is clear he is the rambunctious one of the litter, but he seems to have taken a liking to Anakin.
It rushed away from the group and attacked his boots, gnawing at the material with his growing fangs. Anakin glared down at it and started to lift his foot like he was going to shake it off, "Get the fu-"
"Be nice to him, he is only trying to play with you," I said as I grabbed the one I was letting and held her on my lap. She looked up at me and started to lick my chin, making me giggle.
I saw from the corner of my eye as Anakin set his foot back down, before bending over to pick up the pup that began to squirm in his arms, "Unless you want to be squished by them, I would advise that you stop trying to eat my boots," He told the pup as he brought it close to his face with an intimidating stare. It instantly calmed down and stared back at him in silence, not even a whine was let out, "Good boy, now go to sleep," He set the baby wolf onto the floor and it casually walked back to the closet and laid down. All of us watched in bewilderment as Anakin smiled in triumph when the pup closed its eyes, "Maybe they are not as dumb as I thought."
Piett knelt down next to Ahsoka and gently moved around the multi-colored wolfs fur like he was looking for something, "They do not appear to have any bugs or infections, they look like they are in perfect health," He smiled as he shifted his gaze between all of them, "If it is alright with you Princess, I will gladly watch over them until we find a safe and permanent solution. They will be safe and well taken care of with me, I promise you."
I could not find anyone more perfect and trustworthy than Piett for this task. So I was more than happy to agree, "Very well," I stood up and fanned out my ball gown that I had to rush to put on after bringing the pups in. The ball starts in a little less than thirty minutes, meaning I should be expecting my mother in fifteen minutes if I do not go down myself. Which I should, seeing as if she comes up here I highly doubt she would look past the three wolves, "I am sure there is room for them in one of the open pens in the stables, but do try to be discreet when getting them out. Anakin and I must go downstairs to the ball. The Queen is likely waiting for me," I rolled my eyes, I absolutely loathed this.
But I will admit I was excited to see Anthony again, he was interesting, normal, and far from boring. Plus he was exceptionally handsome.
Piett nodded, "Do not worry Princess, I know exactly how I am going to get them out of here without anyone seeing, but I will be needing some help," He glanced between Ahsoka and Padme.
Padme instantly shook her head to decline, "I would Piett, but I have a few preparations to finish downstairs before the doors are opened." I had almost forgot that my mother put Padme in charge of the dessert table, she baked most of the goods herself too, a gift she got from her mother. I always tell her to open her own shop in town and that I would help her get started financially, but she has never been much of a risk taker, she always believes she will fail before she tries. And it breaks my heart that she does not see her own potential like I can.
Pietts gaze then shifted to Ahsoka, she looked hesitant for a moment before sighing in defeat and dropping her arms that were previously crossed, "Fine, I will join you at the ball afterwards," She addressed me before turning her attention back to Piett, "What is your grand plan?"

"Oh wow really?" I said in a bored tone before chugging half of the wine in my glass. It was about half an hour into this god for saken party and I was already approached by about a dozen men who are as interesting as a blank white wall.
Anakin snorted from a few feet away and I turned to shoot him a glare as I brought the glass down. I had asked him for some space today and he surprisingly agreed, without me having to nag him. So he has been keeping his distance, but with his eyes still glued to me like a hawk — I know because I can feel it, he has always had an intense stare.
Currently he was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, watching me lose my mind. And if I hear one more of these suitors ask me what my favorite poem is, losing my mind is exactly what I am going to do. I have no idea what it is with these men and assuming us women do nothing but knit, shop, and read poetry.
I widened my eyes at Anakin, indicating I want him to come and remove me from this situation. But instead of doing as I asked, he pressed his palms together before separating them, gesturing the space that I asked him for. Basically telling me that I am on my own right now — as long as I am not in any danger of course.
I sighed and turned my attention back to... I forgot his name, "And my friends tell me that I am the fastest horse rider they have ever seen. I have never been beaten."
I bet Anakin can, he wins the tournaments every year.
I smiled, "Is that so? Then why have I never seen you at any of the tournaments? I am sure Anakin and Ruby would love a challenge this year." I raised a brow as I sipped on the rest of my wine.
He awkwardly chuckled as his eyes shifted to Anakin, then back to me, "I have just been too busy to, but this year I plan to and I will gladly hand you the trophy when I receive it." He said with the upmost confidence.
"I would be honored to accept it, it can go on my shelf with the other six that Anakin has given me." Every year he wins, he places it on the shelf in my room.
It all started because of the first one he won, I stole it as a joke and put it in my room in an effort to make him mad. But he never said a word or took it back, instead, he kept adding another one every year, and added a second shelf to make them all fit.
The man looked a little unsure about what to say next, and before he could figure it out, the conversation was interrupted by the very person I have been waiting to see, "Sorry to cut in, but I believe it is somebody else's turn." Anthony stepped between the man and I, with his back to him, "It is lovely to see you again Princess." He gently picked up my hand and kissed the back of it.
I smiled up at him, "It is lovely to see you again as well King Anthony," I subtly bowed, which I did out of respect and as a curtesy, but really I did not have to. My parents Kingdom is larger and richer, meaning even my rank as a simple Princess is still higher than his.
Money is almost everything nowadays. The richer the kingdom, the more power they have, and I believe we are first on that list.
"Please Princess, I told you to call me Anthony. Would you like to join me on the dance floor for this next song?" He held his hand just as the band began to play a new song.
"I would love to," I placed my empty wine glass down to accept his hand and he led me to the dance floor.
He placed his other hand on my waist and I placed my other on his shoulder, preparing for the waltz, "I have to say," He began to move and I followed him, "You look absolutely beautiful, that dress is exquisite." He eyed the materiel before looking back up.
I could feel myself blushing as I chuckled nervously and glanced down, "You are too kind, thank you."
Remember when I mentioned I could feel Anakins stare? Currently it was burning.
Anthony spun me and I caught a glimpse of Anakin in the same spot, leaning on the wall. Except now his head was all the way back, highlighting his Adam's apple, and he was watching us with an intimidating glare as he clenched his jaw.
I felt butterflies fluttering in my stomach and I faced Anthony again who was smiling, "I see your guard is not breathing down your neck today, how did you manage that?"
I shrugged, "I asked nicely."
He chuckled, "So tell me, are you truly that confident that no one can beat him in the horse racing tournament next month?" He tilted his head curiously and I could see what he was thinking behind his eyes, this is a man who loves a challenge.
I slowly nodded, "More than confident, the only person who has ever come close to beating him is me, and that is only because he is the one who taught me so I know all of his tricks."
His smile widened, "Well I think this is about to be an interesting year, because I myself have been thinking about participating this year."
"Oh?" I raised my brows, "I have never seen a King participate before, you would be the first."
He shrugged, "I am still just a Prince at heart."
That struck me on my heart string a little, it is sad to remember the only reason why he holds the throne so young, too young. I would not know what to do if I lost my parents so suddenly.
I was about to speak, but my words were caught in my throat when I noticed something in the window behind him. It was Ahsoka standing with her arms up in the air, and where she was standing was right below my balcony — what the hell is she doing?
Seconds later I saw one of the wolves being lowered down with my bed sheets wrapped around it. It spun in a slow circle and I even caught the eyes of the confused white wolf.
My eyes widened when I looked around the room to see if anyone was seeing what I was seeing, including my parents. Luckily, no one was, but still, anyone can see them at any time, "Are you okay?" Anthony asked.
"I-" Is she not aware she can be seen? It seemed Anthony took notice to where my eyes were and he started to turn around. I instantly panicked and started to purposely cough as loud as I could, making his head snap back in my direction, "I think I am choking," I dramatically said as I gained not just his attention, but everyone's when I coughed violently.
The room fell silent, and Anakin was by my side in only a few seconds while everyone watched with a worried expression. He grabbed my jaw and locked our eyes, and I could tell by his glare he immediately knew I was faking.
But before he could say or do anything, I shifted my eyes in Ashoka's direction and that is when he realized what I was doing — creating a distraction.
"Move out of the way everyone the Princess is choking!" He went along with it and I purposely fell to the floor in a fake faint to add some dramatic affects and the crowd gasped.
Now, all eyes were on me.

Fun fact, next chapter will start off with an Ahsoka POV. So basically all three women, including Padme, will have their own POV's that tells their love story. Obviously y/n and Anakin will be the main focus, but I will be showing the growing love between the other pairs as well ❤️
