Chapter Three
I woke up on a bed. I still had a headache and I also got a sore back. I felt a wet towel on my forehead. I opened my eyes and I saw Prince Adam smiling down at me.
"Good morning," he said.
"Ummm, morning," I said nervously.
I looked around the room. It had basically everything I had but bigger and fancier. A queen size bed, a couch, and a TV.
"Can you get up?" He asked.
"I'll try," I said, getting up.
I put my legs over to the side. I stood up with him balancing me. I walked a couple of steps but then I tripped and almost fell. Adam caught me.
"Woah there," he said. "Maybe you should just sit down for now"
I blushed and he helped me back to the bed.
"You're in trouble, you know that right?"
"No, I did not know that."
"You broke one of the rules, you took off your main gown"
"No I did-," I looked down to see what I was wearing. My under dress. "Oh"
"And I broke this rule," he said, coming to about two inches away from my face.
"I let you in my bedroom," he whispered.
I blushed.
He pulled back and said, "Its breakfast time, you don't have to go. I'll bring you some food after."
He left the room and I laid back down on the bed and sighed. I wish that I was a princess. Everything would be better that way. I would still have my mother that way. I closed my eyes and tears rolled down my cheeks.
--------------------------------
I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in," I said.
Prince Adam came in with a tray of food.
"Here you go," he said, setting the tray on the bed.
"Thank you." I say looking at the delicious food.
I ate and he watched me.
"While you eat, can I ask you a question?" He said standing up, getting the remote to the TV.
"Yes."
"Would it be okay if you help me pick out who will be the best princess or bride for me?"
I hesitated, "Yeah, that'll be fine"
He turned on the TV and a picture of a princess and a description of her was off to the side.
"Princess Hailey," he said, reading the screen.
"She enjoys chatting with her girlfriends, shopping, dressing up, and -."
"No"
"Excuse me?"
"I mean no, she's not the one you would want."
He raised an eyebrow, "How would you know?
"She's not the type you would go for, right?"
"True," he said and then moved on to the next one.
All of the princesses were pretty and nice, but not his type.
"Okay two more," he said.
"Princess Taylor."
She had a nice, friendly smile. And also pretty too.
"She likes to go out in the garden and write. Is shy but it gets better once you get to know her. And she-"
"Yes."
He pondered for a bit, "Why this one?"
"You're kind of like that too, but not shy. You like to go outdoors too. She's kind of like me too."
He chuckled, "True but you probably picked her cause she's like you and you think I like you."
I blushed, "Well we were friends before and you said......."
There was a long silence.
"Anyway," I said "The last one?"
He changed the slide. But there wasn't a picture.
"This princess is not found yet. We believe that we were once close with this girl but cannot find her. Her mother, Queen Julie, is still her trying to find her. We also believe that she is in hiding."
My mothers name was Julie. But we are talking about royal families. My grandmother said she died in an accident.
"Strange," I said.
"Very strange," he said.
"So, Princess Taylor then," He turned off the TV.
"Yes," She had blonde hair and blue eyes, he would like her.
"You both have some similarities, like going outdoors to the garden. But you have brunette hair and blue-gray eyes."
"Your point is?" I asked.
"No reason," he said, "I'll tell my mother that Princess Taylor may be the one. Oh and I'll take the tray."
He took the tray and left. I was tired. I went under the covers and floated back to sleep.
