I stood near the entrance of the ballroom with the ball in full swing. Everyone looked beautiful with their masks and formal attire. The room also looked spiffy with the help with me and Luna. Guards were lined up between the windows, like we assumed. There were more outside, which would be a problem.

"Juliet," Queen Jess hushed, "What are you doing just standing there? Go serve them the food. And put your mask back on, they wouldn't want to see your hideous face,"

I nodded and did as she said. I'm glad that I'm leaving this hell. Hopefully. As I served, I almost tripped and fell from my dress, but I caught my balance.

"You okay there?" A voice behind me said.

"Yes, I'm alright," I say and turn towards the familiar voice.

I turn to see Prince Adams, looking handsome as ever even with his tired eyes that didn't seem to light up like they usually did.

"Perhaps you've seen a maid that goes by the name Juliet," he asked.

I shake my head, "No, I'm sorry. Never heard of that name,"

I turn around and take a deep breath, not noticing that I've held it. I should've told him that it was me. I shake my head once again. It's part of the plan, Juliet. Stick to it or you'll be ruined forever.

I passed by Prince Asa and he gave me a slight nod, walking towards Prince Adams.

I sigh. Please don't freak out Prince Adams, if you do. You'll blow it.

Queen Jess rushes up to me with a hurried voice, "Make sure the microphone is working, I'm going to announce your marriage in five minutes. Get to it!"

I do as told and feel a pair of eyes on me. I look around to see Prince Adams staring at me. Okay, he knows now. Plan is going good so far. Just a little bit more until I'm safe.

I feel a tug at my elbow.

"Almost there, Juliet. Calm down," Luna whispers and gives me an encouraging smile, "Now go put that tray away, she's gonna freak if you bring that up there,"

As I put it away, I see Queen Jess lead Prince Adams out of the room. I start to panic and rushing through the dancers until Prince Asa stops me.

"Juliet, you're making a scene," he says quickly, glaring at me.

"But that wasn't supposed to happen! How are we going to esca-"

"Shh, people will hear you, now go back to Luna. We're going to be called up soon and I don't want anyone's eyes on you before then. Go,"

I sigh for the billionth time. Everyone is so demanding.

Queen Jess returns alone and grabs the microphone, "Hello everyone, thank you so much for attending this ball. Although I haven't told you the reason for coming, I will do so now,"

She smiles and nods her head towards me, my indication to come up. Once I stand next to her, I see the ballroom door and Prince Adams hide behind a servant.

"As many of you know, I am a great friend with Prince Asa's family," she puts her hands on his shoulders and gives him a fake smile.

"And with this, we've decided that he is going to get married,"

The whole rooms silence was diminished with whispers.

Queen Jess raised her voice, "With who? You guys may ask. With my niece, Juliet,"

She motioned towards me and everyone stared, the whispering gone. I find Prince Adams eyes, and his face was filled with surprise and anger.

"Yes. Juliet. The famous lost princess. Daughter of Julie. She has been found and is going to marry, under my command,"

"But you're not her father! You can't choose whether or not she marries," a voice from the crowd said.

"But is her father here? No!" she laughs, "Neither is her mother, therefore I can decide,"

I feel Prince Asa nudge me and I give him a slight nod. I look towards Luna and she gives me an encouraging smile. Okay, you got this.

I put my hand up to my forehead and turn towards Queen Jess, "May I be excused?"

She raised an eyebrow at me and glanced over the room. She has too. Everybody's watching.

"Of course," she said with a smile and looked at me with a you better be back in five minutes look.

"I'll go with her," Prince Asa said and took my arm without a response from her.

As I leave, I see Queen Jess motion towards Luna and whisper something to her. She nods and soon follows us. Once the three of us makes it to the balcony, Prince Asa looks around for guards.

"I still don't understand why we have to go this way," I complain, "I mean, going out through the entrance is way easier. Plus, we're like five-hundred feet above the ground,"

"Easier is right, but the guards are everywhere," Luna reasoned, "Going that way will end your life, and Asa said that there's a safety net at the bottom, if we land in the right spot,"

I sigh as Prince Asa straps some equipment around me.

"You know how to work this thing, right?" I question him.

"Of course, I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't," he said as he finished up tightening up my ropes.

He moved toward Luna. Both of them blushing. I smile to myself and hear footsteps echoing towards us. We look at each other with panicked eyes.

"Juliet?" A familiar voice whispers.

"Prince Adams?" I call out as he appears around the corner.

He turns towards us and stands there shocked by the sight of me. I smile as he finally snaps out of his trance and walks towards me. He gives me a bear hug, lifting me up, and kisses me hard on the lips.

"Prince Adams!" I gasp and giggle in disbelief.

"Sorry to break this cute, romantic moment, but we're kind of in a hurry. Queen Jess is going to notice our absence," Prince Asa steps in.

Prince Adams nods his head, "You're right, give me one of those,"

As Prince Adams and Luna get their equipment on, we hear guards shouting at one another.

"Asa, take Luna with you," Prince Adams rushed, "I'll take Juliet. We'll go over this ledge, you take the one over there,"

He points over to a different balcony. Prince Asa hesitates.

"But we'll be separated," Asa says.

"That's the point," Prince Adams explains as he takes my hand and leads me over to the ledge, "It'll be harder for them to catch all of us that way,"

"They're over here!" we hear a guard shout.

"See you soon Adams," Prince Asa salutes and runs over to Luna who looks at me with worried, teary eyes.

Prince Adams salutes him back as I give her a smile, trying not to cry myself.

"Hey, don't cry. I'm right here," Prince Adams calmly assures me, "I'll hold on to you tightly, so don't worry. On the count of three...one...two...thre-,"

"STOP RIGHT THERE!" Queen Jess's voice echo's throughout the kingdom.

Prince Adams turns towards her, "Just let us go,"

She laughs wickedly, "Let you go? How cute this is. The Prince saves a poor, cowardly girl who can't do anything. I don't think that I'll be able to leave you just like that,"

She ponders for a bit, "How about this. Why don't you say your last few words to each other and maybe. Maybe I'll let you go,"

She smiles a true smile, "I mean look at this scenery and everything. Stars blinking everywhere. The weather just right. Go ahead before I change my mind,"

Prince Adams turns towards me and wipes away my tears.

"You look beautiful tonight Juliet," he chuckles, "Who am I kidding, you look beautiful everyday. And it hurts that I had to leave you with someone else,"

He takes something out of his pocket, and I feel something small and cold around my finger, "I want to be with only you, Juliet,"

I lift up my hand and see a diamond ring.

I hear Queen Jess's laughter rise up into the air, "Marry? Oh, you must be joking. This is so sweet that I want to puke,"

She motions towards us, "Guards,"

Prince Adams quickly grabs my hands, "Ready?"

I nod, tears blurring my vision. As the guards were about to capture us, Prince Adam holds onto me tight and jumps.

I feel the wind pushing against us and Prince Adams holding onto me tighter.

"CUT THE ROPE," I manage to hear Queen Jess's irritating shout.

"I love you," Prince Adams says.

I look up at him, "I love you too,"
