I woke up when my back started hurting which means I slept for a long time. I sat down pulling the blanket till my neck as the room was chilling cool due to the stupid ac but it was comfortable. Rana Sa was not around which means I slept for a really long time.The windows were covered by the thick curtains making the room best place to have a comfortable sleep. I picked my phone up from the night stand and it showed 2 o' clock in the afternoon and 10 missed calls from Anav Bhai. This habit of mine of putting my phone on silent mode while sleeping is really irritating sometimes but again Sleep is really my first love. 

I sighed before calling him back and he picked up the phone after two rings.

"Where are you Aadya?", I heard Roshni Bhabhi.

"I am at home only bhabhi. Just woke up right now", I told her.

"Your bhai was very worried for you. You didn't call him yesterday", She told me.

"Tell him to stop worrying I am fine", I told her as she sighed.

"You know he is not going to listen to anyone other than you. I don't want to be the middle person between you. You should talk to him directly", She told me.

"Bhabhi you are not being the middle person", I told her and heard her taking a deep breathe.

"I know but he won't like me talking between you two. Also you both should talk", She was saying and I realized her voice was lacking her old enthusiasm.

"Are you okay?", I asked her.

"Yeah. Just a little bit fever. Caught cold yesterday", She told me.

"Is bhai at home only", I asked her hoping him being with her but then realized I called on his phone only.

"Yeah just went to check some files after giving me an hour long lecture", She told me as I laughed hearing her whining. Bhai can be really irritating sometimes. Who can understand this better than me.

"I told you to sleep for a while. Why are you acting like a toddler jumping from one place to another", I heard Anav bhai's voice.

"I am sitting on the bed what makes you think I am jumping around. You should get your eyes checked", Bhabhi retorted. I stiffen my laughter listening to them fighting.

"Yeah right I should get my eyes checked when you are the one wearing spectacles. What are you doing with my phone by the way", He asked.

"Oh sorry Aadya is on the call. Talk to her", She told him.

"Can't you tell me about this before", He asked.

"I forgot", I heard her.

"Doll how are you?", I heard him.

"I am great", I chirped.

"You didn't called me yesterday neither picked up the call when I called I was so worried", He told me.

"I am so sorry bhai. I was too caught up with things", I told him.

"You know right I am there if you wanna share something", I heard him.

"And I am also there for you", I heard bhabhi.

"I know you all are. And I will inform bhabhi if I want to share anything", I told him.

"Yeah inform your bhabhi. Who am I to you?", I heard him.

"You are my dear brother. But there are things I can only discuss with her. She knows me better than you", I told him.

"Okay just take care. Doesn't matter whom you call just share things you feel are taking a toll over you. Don't take excess pressure", He told me.

"Yeah take care of bhabhi. She told me she had a little fever. Should I visit you?", I asked him.

"Yesterday it was raining in the afternoon and madam got drenched in it willingly and now is having fever. I don't know why mumma married me to a toddler", He said and I can feel him glaring at bhabhi.

"Anav ji it was fun", I heard bhabhi whining.

"Okay bhai take care of bhabhi. Also I will try to visit you soon. I miss everyone so much", I told him.

"Did you skipped college today", He asked as I bit my tongue. 

"I was kinda tired so woke up right now only", I told him.

"You are really lucky to have kind in-laws. But I would talk to Ekansh how can he let you miss your college like this. Talk to you later have some works to complete. I felt peace after hearing your voice", He said as I smiled

"Alright", I said as I kept my phone aside. When a thought crossed my mind, What ma actually did to pitaji maharaj. I hope she listen to my suggestion and stay here. I told her to not leave as if she did she would make dadi sa happy. Dadi Sa always wanted her to leave so she can break the whole family after that. I didn't discuss about dadi sa's behavior with ma after she left the dining room.

I got freshen up quickly in another saree. I already started hating them even when I wore them for only a month of my married life. It had not even been a month actually. Tying my hair in a loose french braid and pinning my veil on my head as usual. I made my way downstairs to find ma sitting in the living room with a magazine in her hand. She passed me a small smile.

"Today's breaking news is father-son duo is having a cold war", She told me making me laugh with the way she said it like a reporter.

"But mother-daughter are gossiping about it", I told her making her laugh.

"Exactly", she said.

"You missed watching Ekansh's face. He was looking like a child whose chocolate was snatched away from him looking at his father. He was trying to pull up a blank face but he was sorry for saying whatever he said to your father while Jai was constantly looking at him trying to find if he was having any slap mark on his face till now. They thought I was not watching but you see I have eyes on everyone", She told me as I laughed.

"See this is what is happening in the family. Now the daughter-in-law wake up in the afternoon time and the mother-in-law doesn't even care", Dadi sa said as ma rolled her eyes before winking at me.

"So the people who were waiting for the family drama can go in their room and eat their popcorn. Not really wasting their time in plotting against a happy family because nothing like that is happening right now. If something happened I will call them myself so they can have their share of entertainment", Ma said and I was holding my laughter so badly.

"I will tell Jai", Dadi Sa said as she flared her nostrils in anger.

"Go on. What else you are doing from 25 years filling his ear. I don't really care anymore because now my son is the king not yours so directly power is in my hand", Ma retorted.

"So that was what you were waiting for. The time when Ekansh would take the throne and you would rule over me. You are so cunning lady. Why don't you tell my son that you are only a gold digger", Dadi sa said as I was confused why she started talking so politely when I saw Pitaji Maharaj on the entrance of the palace. Great that was remaining.

"Ma you think I am a gold digger. I have devoted my whole life to this family and you think like that about me. If you want I would give the precious necklace badi ma gave me to you but don't say these words to me", I was shocked at ma's acting. She knew very well about Pitaji Maharaj's arrival. She was literally having tears in her eyes.

"Enough everyone", Pitaji Maharaj roared.

"What are you doing here Jai? You should have been in your office right now", I wanted to whistle seeing ma's incredible acting skill. But I don't know how to whistle sad reality.

"Go to our room Karuna", he told her. She nodded timidly. Mind blowing ma. You are a failing Madhuri Dixit right now. Keep it up.

"I don't want any fights in our family Jai you know right. I am tired of all this. This doesn't look good especially when we have our daughter-in-law with us", She said. Why don't I have a whistle right now. What a dialogue ma? You are looking like a tragedy queen right now.

"I said in our room right now. I don't want anymore discussion about it. Aadya you too go to your room. Ekansh is also coming", He told me as I nodded. Pitaji Maharaj went to call someone after dadi sa left glaring at ma.

"I will see you later Aadya", Ma said timidly but winked me at last. I tried to fight back my smile which was threatening to cover my lips. Control Aadya.

"You should have tried acting. You would have been the queen of Bollywood or may be Hollywood as well", I whispered in her ear.

"I am happy being Jai's queen. Also that man is too possessive to let me do something like that", She mumbled the last time gritting her teeth.

"Didn't you both go to your room", Pitaji Maharaj said as he entered in the living room again.

"I was waiting for Akriti to come back from school", I told him.

"She didn't come back till now", He inquired. She reaches at home till this time. Where is she?

"She is here", I heard a manly voice as I found Akriti standing with a young man. May be 18 or 19.

"What is she doing with you?", I heard Rana sa asking as he entered inside.

"Control your sister before she get herself in trouble", That man said.

"We don't need you to tell us what we should do", Rana Sa told him with anger pulling Akriti behind him who was looking scared. I went to her and pulled her with me as she hugged me tightly. The young man had his eyes on her.

"I would suggest you to take care of your sister when you have so precious beauty as your sister", He told Rana Sa. Don't he love his life. How can he comment about Rana Sa's sister like this.

"Don't make me kill you", Rana Sa said. 

"If you would be able to do that you would have done that by now", The man said with determination.

"I am not answerable to you Vijay Ahlawat", Rana Sa took a step towards him.

"No Bhai", Akriti turned to Rana sa as she hold his elbow.

"Intelligent girl I see", Vijay said.

"I would advice you to shut your mouth right now Ahlawat", Pitaji Maharaj said.

"Oh so the whole royal family is here. I should tell what this little girl was doing right", Vijay asked as he looked at Akriti as if asking for her permission who looked down.

"What happened", Ma asked.

"So there is a sane person in this family.", He commented.

"Your daughter here was about to get kidnapped when she went to have ice cream playing with the minds of your so called royal guards was about to get Kidnapped by some lusty old man and I don't think I should explain any further", He completed as I looked at Akriti when a little sob escaped from her lips. I turned her towards me and made her look at me. She hugged me immediately.

"Bhabhi I am so sorry. My friends made fun of me calling me a caged princess. I wanted to show them that I can also do what they can do. So I left school myself after it got over preventing the eyes of royal guards. I reached that ice-cream parlour safely but then I don't know from where that man came and tried to pull me with him. If this man wouldn't have been there I don't know what would have happened", She said as she sobbed loudly. I looked at Rana Sa whose fists were clenched looking at Akriti.

"This is what happen when you give too much freedom to girls. I told you to get her home schooled but nobody listens to me", Dadi Sa said. Does she even know where she is speaking so much nonsense.

"Rajmata stop it", Pitaji Maharaj said.

"Don't clip your daughter's wing only tell me to shut up", Dadi Sa said venomously.

"She is already scared what do you want me to do", He shouted taking all of us aback.

"Did that man did something to her", Rana sa asked Vijay.

"No I reached there on time. Don't think I forgot about our enmity. But I also have a sister I can't let anyone disrespect someone else's sister. And I know you would have done the same for my sister as well", He told Rana Sa who nodded.

"It is good that she saw the right face of the world before she starts believing wrong people", Vijay said.

"And you don't listen to your friends' comments. You know better. The only thing which matters is what your family thinks about you", He told Akriti as she nodded timidly.

"And you Dear king you don't have to thank me", He said smirking at Rana Sa before making his way outside whistling some random romantic song. What is he?

We made Akriti eat and then made her asleep.

"Who is he?", I asked Rana Sa as we entered in our room after so much drama.

"The eldest son of Ahlawat royal family, our sworn enemy", He said.

"But he didn't let anything wrong happening to Akriti", I said.

"It's because she is his future wife", He said glaring at his reflection in the mirror.

"What the hell are you saying?", I asked him.

"To forgot this enmity forever our families decided to have a permanent alliance. My grandfather decided to marry his daughter to their son but fortunately or unfortunately he never had a daughter so now it is applicable to his granddaughter", He said as I felt my heart beat increasing.

"Is Akriti knowing about it", I asked him as he shook his head in no.

"It seems to be that Vijay knows about this very well", He said as I sighed.

"Don't worry we would find a way to get out of this problem", I told him watching the worry line on his forehead.

"I can't let my sister marry that monster even if he saved her dignity. I don't trust him", He said

Akriti's security was doubled after that day. She got to hear an earful from Pitaji Maharaj and Rana Sa. She really deserved that this time but at last she is too young to understand anything. I remember the little Akriti running around the palace. She already had my clothes prepared according to Rana Sa's preference when we entered in a relationship. Her innocent self thought I was his bhabhi from the starting only. She never understood the meaning of fiance. She always asked me why I didn't stay with them like her mother does.

I brought her out with me today so she could have fresh air and don't feel like a caged princess. She is really very precious to everyone in the family.

"Bhabhi let's go to McDonald", She said as she ran inside already making me laugh.

"You know your brother is going to accompany us in an hour", I told her. She turned to me before pouting and ran into someone. She was about to fall when Vijay caught her in his arms. Thank god she could have hurt herself.

"You should be careful princess", He said before winking at her making her red. He left smirking at me. I am not really getting good vibes from him.

"Rani sa Hukum is asking you both to come home he would not be able to accompany you all today as there are guests at the palace", The security in-charge said as he bowed his head a bit. 

"Which guest?", I asked him.

"Kuwar Rajveer Pratap Singh", He said.

"Pitaji Maharaj's brother", I asked as he nodded. What is he doing here?

"Bhabhi what happen", Akriti asked as she came back.

"Pitaji Maharaj's brother is here", I told her.

"Rajveer chachu", She asked as I nodded.

"Papa asked us to stay away from him", She told me as I felt it weird but let it go knowing very well that I am talking about royal family right now. Anything can happen here. Even if I see Kanha coming to meet us I wouldn't be surprised. But I would love that surprise anyways.

We reached home to meet a twin of dadi sa in crime. Her other son he was constantly pointing at useless mistakes in the cleanliness of the palace or the food served. Or worst shouting orders at the helpers. I mean even Pitaji Maharaji and Rana Sa never do that. They are also human and have the right to be treated like one. And his wife constantly giving seductive looks to Pitaji Maharaj who was looking rather uncomfortable as Ma was constantly glaring daggers at him.

Their son my god was the dirtiest man in this world. Having so dirty eyes. Rana Sa was sitting in front of him and his one glare was enough for that rotten prince to remove his eyes from me and Akriti. Serves him right.

"How did you got ready to marry this soon Ekansh. We were not even able to come back in our private jet from Singapore on time", Chachi ji said 

"That is because the royal private jet belongs to Pitaji Maharaj and therefore was here in Udaipur all the time", Rana Sa retorted as I choked on my food controlling my laughter. There faces were priceless which Rana Sa and Pitaji Maharaj were carrying a neutral face. Ma and I exchanged looks as we both tried our best to stop our laughter.

"Ekansh but you didn't introduced me to your wife", Anmol said(their son)

"Because I didn't felt it is important to introduce you to her", Rana Sa said and thankfully I was not having any food in my mouth right now. I tried to hide my laughter my coughing silently.

"Did you called us here for embarrassing us", Chacha ji said hitting the dining table dramatically.

"I don't remember calling you here though", Pitaji Maharaj said as he kept his spoon aside giving a blank look to his sibling.

"But we are family right Jai", Chachi ji said smiling too sweetly. I wanted to puke at the scene.

"Even after so many years you didn't learn to call him bhai sahab right Sulakshana", Ma asked her pointing her fork at her not making it obvious though.

"We are not having that relation right Jai. He won't like me calling him bhai sahab", Chachi said as she looked at Pitaji Maharaj winking at him.

You are again going to sleep on the couch today Pitaji Maharaj. I thought shaking my head lightly.

"Oh so let's hear it from him only. What do you want her to call you my dear husband", Ma asked smiling sweetly at him. He started coughing uncontrollably when ma called him dear husband choking on his food.

"Don't you have shame at least see their are people around Karuna", Dadi Sa said. She ruined the whole scene. I pouted.

"What? It is not going to change anything he is my husband and I guess everybody should know whom he belongs to if they don't want me to choke them to death. Don't forget I am a black belt", Ma said giving a pointed look to Chachi who gulped in fear. Serves her right.

"We are done", Rana sa said as he looked at my empty plate.

"I heard your father and brothers are really famous in the business world. Your brother Anav is earning a big name in the gaming industry", Chacha ji said to me clearing his throat.

"Your mama is also famous in the business world right", He asked me about Anant mama and I nodded quite confused. What does that mean?

"Your cousin Preha I heard is a beautiful girl of 21 doing her studies in fashion designing", he said making me more confused.

"She is not marrying your son", Rana Sa said. Wait marry? She won't marry this player ever. Nor Anant mama would let her marry him after knowing his history.

"Why not? We are rich", Chacha ji said.

"They are three times richer than you", Rana Sa told him.

"But we all are same right Ekansh. Your money is also ours I thought", Chachi ji said sweetly.

"I don't think the money Pitaji and I earn have any of your share in it. It's purely ours. The money which you got as the prince is what actually belongs to you. I don't think Anant Chaudhary would marry his precious daughter to your son knowing his history", Rana Sa said as we made our way out of the dining room with him holding my hand.

"I never expected you to talk more than a word with anyone other than family", I told him.

"Some stupids need to know their place and stay away from that idiot of my cousin", He said pulling me closer to him by my waist as we entered in our room.

"So the great king Ekansh Pratap Singh is jealous", I said as I wrapped my arms around his neck tracing his jaw with my index finger seductively.

"Don't you think you are playing with fire right now", He whispered as his eyes darkened a bit. I bit my lower lip looking at his beautiful eyes turning darker every passing moment.

"What to say? I love to play with this fire", I whispered back as he lifted me up.

"Are you really ready", He asked to which I nodded.

And the next moment I was thrown on the bed and I don't remember what happened next.

The author was lazily looking at the screen thinking what should she write next when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to find Ekansh there looking at the screen as well intently. Rubbing her eyes she asked him tiredly.

"What do you want?"

"Nothing just thought to check on you", He said.

"Check on me? Why?", She asked.

"Have you been your lazy self this week?", He asked.

"Laziness is not something I do it is in my blood now", She told him.

"How long are you planning to write the next chapter", He asked.

"It is closer to 4000 words. I hope nobody calls this a short chapter now.", She told him throwing an apple at him.

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away", She told him having her own as he sat on a chair opposite to her.

"So Anav didn't join you today", She asked him.

"Roshni is not well so he is taking care of her ", He told her to which she nodded understandingly.

"So why did you have to call my brother now. I told you no love triangle", He told her.

"I am not planning to make any Indian drama so I am not going to write any love triangle. It is boring for me as well. Same story every time so no love triangle. Also I have a lot of twist and turns already on my plate. Plotting a love triangle and increasing the chapters for writing nonsense about jealousy and may be physical abuse. Uff I can't do that", she told him.

"Alright so no chance of jealousy for me", He said.

"Act like a man. I gave you a beautiful wife learn to respect her choices", Author told him.

"Isn't this what I am doing already. This is becoming super boring let's talk about something else", He told her to which she nodded.

"So I was thinking if we could have a baby now", He asked her.

"Aren't you too excited for a baby this soon", She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yeah I mean it would be nice right", He asked her.

"Not at all. Not right now. Live your life I am not ready to write that so shut up and let me study", She told him.

"Oh god you are so mean. At least listen to your characters requirements", He told her.

"Your wife already told me that she is not ready for kids right now so shut your mouth and get out. What makes you think I will listen to you above her?", She asked him too sweetly.

"You know what? It is looking really dangerous when you are smiling this sweetly at me. What are you thinking?", He asked.

"I was thinking how would it feel using my attacking techniques on you. Entering in a girl's room without her permission what do you expect me to bring an aarti thaal and do your aarti. I was just thinking with which shoe should I hit you. Most of them are too expensive to waste on you.", She told him still looking at him intently as he stood up from his place.

"You are going to hit me? I am the king", He told her.

"Oh really but for me you are a stupid man who always enters in my room and intrudes my privacy", She told him standing up as well.

"What if I say I won't do this again", He asked.

"Oh trust me I don't believe you at all", She told him while pulling her hair in a bun.

"Ohkay I am going", He said taking one step back as she took a step ahead.

"I thought you are in a good mood today", He told her.

"Oh I was waiting to hear what nonsense you want from me now", She told him. She took another step and he ran outside.

"At least wear your mask", He heard her shout.

"I have one in my pocket", He said while running out and showing it to her. He heard her laughing at him as he turned to glare at her but a footwear landed on his face.

"Think before you enter in my room from now on", She shouted before going inside.
