The American walked out of the dining room, he was suddenly hit with a wave of cold air that made his spine shiver.

"Was it this cold when I came in?" He rubbed the side of his neck, probably due to the freezing weather. 'It's probably gonna snow later today,' America internally sighed. He wasn't a huge fan of winter.

"America!"

A shout came from near the corner, the American glanced over and saw a familiar tall boy standing there out of breath. 'Ah shit,'

"I was looking all over for you, I'm glad nothing happened," Russia's face was calm and his tone was the same as always.

America walked over to him and pat his shoulder, "you don't have to worry about me all the time," he said with a slanted smirk in a playful manner. "But isn't that my job?"

A small part of America was a little hurt whenever Russia said something like that. The prince felt that his feelings meant nothing sometimes, sometimes he believed the Russian was only nice to him because it was his job.

As for Russia he had no intention of inquiring about yesterday's events. Simply because he wasn't good at conversations so he wouldn't know what to say.

Ukraine also confronted Russia about yesterday, the guard still had the same aura of indifference to her. She suggested to talk it out but other than that she said that it was mostly up to him and that she wouldn't tell anyone for now.

"It seems like winter is starting very soon," the Russian suddenly remarked, tilting his head to the side a little. "What are you talking about? Winter already started, but we're probably gonna get our first snowflake soon!" The two of them walked down the pathways with no clear destination in mind.

"Though I'm not a big fan of it... my face always gets freezing cold, it's annoying," America pouted. The Russian just glanced for a second before averting his gaze again.

They both were walking through the garden when suddenly a small white object glided downwards from the sky. "See? It's already here," America pointed at the tiny snowflake falling towards the ground.

As they continued to walk, more and more fell down, "Jeez it's freezing," the prince rubbed his arms back and forth attempting to warm himself a little. 'I mean I can go back inside but.. I still want to spend time with him...'

Suddenly something warm and fairly light fell on his head, blocking America's view for a second. After he realized he couldn't see he pushed up whatever was blocking his vision.

"Eh isn't this-?" He felt around his head to find an ushanka comfortably placed on his head. "At least it won't be as cold as before," Russia sighed next to America with his hands behind his back.

"Aren't you gonna get cold? Now I feel bad..." the prince watched him closely, "No it's fine, I'm used to the cold."

They walked a little more in silence, admiring the gentle drops of snow which seemed to sparkle in the sunlight. So delicate yet beautiful.

The American pulled the two ushanka flaps from the side closer together as his face burned a slight shade of red. "Thank you."

"It's no problem,"

A mischievous smirk appeared on America's face, he bent down, using his back to block Russia's view.

Russia, "what are you doing?"

America turned back around with no warning and slammed a snowball right in the middle of the taller male's face.

The prince's unrestrained laughter rung in the garden, "I honestly expected you to dodge," he bent down to make another.

The broken snowball slid down the tricolored country's face. Surprisingly he bent down as well and made a snowball, launching it right at America's chest.

"Oh it's on!"

They both had a snowball fight for awhile until they got tired and crashed into the snow that had already piled up on the ground.

They laid next to each other side by side in silence watching the snow fall with ease and grace. "I expected you to scold me again, what's up with you today? Has someone possessed your body?"

A moment of silence, "I just felt that, I also wanted to make some nice memories with you and at least enjoy it for awhile."

"Hahaha, I guess you really didn't have a childhood huh?" America remarked jokingly. "No I didn't," the Russian replied. America didn't know whether to laugh or cry, he wasn't quite expecting a reply.

"Are you... not going to ask about yesterday night?" The American gathered up the courage to ask, its true he's afraid Russia's reply wouldn't be what he had hoped for but the fact that the Russian hadn't even talked about it once was making him anxious and eating him out from the inside.

"No... simply because I believe that you had a reason for everything you do, it's not quite in my place to ask about it in the first place, I only have to worry about my duties and sticking to the rules. As long as I do that I'd have no problems."

"And also because I'm bad at conversations so I'd rather not..."

The American's eyebrow twitched in annoyance, "oh shut up!" He abruptly got up from his laying position and proceeded to bury the Russian's face in snow with one push of the snow next to him and walking off, leaving a confused Russian behind.

'Jeez I coughed up all the courage I had just fo make a move and now you'd rather just sweep it under the rug?? How annoying!'

He felt a little embarrassed but all in all happy. Though happy never lasted long.
