I have been thinking of D&D a lot lately, so my brain was like "Royal Garden are definitely the type of nerds who'd play D&D lol." ಥ⌣ಥ

More specifically- Finn, Bogi, and Kassidy are huge nerds. Nova and Pluto play cuz they're board, and poor Apollon is 2 kool 4 skool and gets dragged along the journey.✨

"Okay...so how do I do this?" Questioned the eldest male.

"Apollon, you've gotta make a character first!" Bogi told him.

"okAy. How do I do that?!"

"What do you wanna be?"

"Uhhhhh-"

"For example, I'm a half-giant. Who is also the mighty personal knight of the elf princess." Bogi bragged about his in-game status.

"I'm the elf princess!" Kassidy chimed in.

"I'm an alien princess with a magic sword that can make things melt when I strike it." Pluto swiftly sliced the air with her hand.

Apollon felt his braincells dieing. Why did he agree to playing this game?

"What are you the princess of?" He asked Nova.

"I'm not a princess. I'm a rouge kitsune archer assassin, who's currently hunting down the alien princess."

Apollon blinked.
"Uhhh-"

"And I'm a mage boy who lives in a hidden cottage deep in the woods, and I own a lil herb and potion shop." Finn smiles.

"Oh, that's it? I-"

"I'm also a werewolf, who rampages every single night. Somebody has to come and chain me up, so I don't go on a murder spree. It was a curse that was put on me when I was just a baby because of my father, who cheated on his wife with my mother, and his wife cursed all of his future children and himself to turn into beasts when the moon rises. Because of that, I never had any blood siblings. Then eventually my father was hunted down and killed, once the villagers found out he was the beast slaughtering all of their cattle. So I grew up an orphan, until I was taken in by the elf king, who sought to tame my beast-side and make me into a war machine. The elf princess became my non-blood sister, and now we go on epic adventures together with her trusty half-giant knight."

Finn talked super fast, and Apollon only caught onto every other word. "Wha-"

"You can be our bard!" Kassidy suggested with glee. "Like Jaskier from The Witcher!"

"Yes! We need somone to make songs of our great adventures to tell to the people of many villages and kingdoms. They will become well-known nursery rhymes that children will know by heart!" Bogi was speaking in character, he decided to make his half-giant british for some reason.

A thick hardcover book was slammed onto the table in front of Apollon. Finn quickly flipped through hundreds of pages, then stopped somewhere in the middle of the book without looking at the table of contents.

"You can choose from all of these different character types, then choose your starting alignment, and then choose your first weapon-"
Then Finn slid a sheet of paper and a pencil next to the book.

"Then you can write down your backstory, and I can come up with a way to introduce you to our characters! Technically our trio hasn't met Pluto and Nova yet, so maybe you can tagg-along with one of them- but i'd warn you, Nova is a rouge, so she could decide to betray you and steal all of your things at any moment!"

Nova eyed Apollon as if she was already plotting on ambushing him.

"uMmmmm-"

"aNd you've gotta roll all of these dices to determine your health, strength, and wisdom." Finn dumped a bunch of dice all over the table.

"oOOH! I know which figurine he can use as his character on the board!" Kassidy dug through a box of figurines.

She pulled out one of them and Bogi instantly started laughing. "tHat's a hObBit! Look at how smol he issssss!"

"oMg- Apollon, you could be a hobbit!" Finn exclaimed.

"Finn, I'm taller than you."

"oOp- mAybe nOt tHen."

"I think we have a bard figurine." Pluto told them. "I painted one last week."

"I found it!!!" Kassidy pulled out another figurine. A lil lanky man with a mandolin, pointed shoes, and a short cape.

"Lmao, imma repaint it to make it look like Apollon." Pluto giggled.

"I'm gonna give you a pet horse, so that you can catch up to our squad faster." Finn scribbled down "swift steed" on Apollon's paper under "companions."

"He can only carry you, and maybe two bags. Don't overload him or else you'd have to make rest stops more often."

Kassidy put a little horse toy next to Apollon's figurine. They apparently didn't have a horse figurine, so it looks like they bought a pony toy from Walmart, considering it's bright pink color and designs.

"Are you really just gonna name your character Apollon?" Nova questioned, leaning over and peeking at his paper.

"oMG- hE CAN BE A DEMIGOD BARD." ＼（〇_ｏ）／ Finn was having a big brain moment, basically writing Apollon's whole character for him.

"That can be your beginning journey. The reason you even left to travel so far, was to get answers!" Finn frantically waved around the pencil.

"You were just a plain ol' music man. Then suddenly one day, when you least expected it, you discovered your powers from the gods. Only, you don't know they're from the gods. That's why you decided to head out to the wiseman of the kingdom, to seek answers. Along the way, you meet us, and we join your journey. Then, once we've completed your quest for knowledge- the great question would be, will you now join us on our journey?!" Finn's handwriting looked like chicken-scratch, so Apollon couldn't even tell if that's what all he was writing down, so he just took his word for it.

"hOw does that sound?!" Finn questioned, even though it was already all written down.

"Uhh....cool?"

"LET'S PLAY!!" Bogi hopped up and ran to the kitchen to grab snacks.

Lmao, I might make a part 2 where they actually start playing. The next chapter is going to be about dorm life tho.
