Jungkook's P.O.V

One week later..

You were slowly able to talk somewhat more casually with Taehyung like he had told you to, but you only did it when you knew no one was around to make sure no one accidentally misunderstood

Not to mention you can't afford accidentally loosing this job..

You were currently getting ready to head out since it was your day off today, you smiled excitedly as you grabbed the bag containing the gifts you bought for the kids before heading out.

You bowed to some maids you passed by greeting them before walking out and heading towards the gates where the taxi you had called was waiting.

Once you got in you smiled as you looked at the driver

Jungkook: Please head to xxxx-street and drop me off at the orphanage

The driver nodded as he typed in the location before driving off, you leaned back and closed your eyes as you sighed wondering how everyone's been and if anyone had been adopted while you were gone

Taehyung's P.O.V

You ruffled your hair in annoyance as you looked out of the car window groaning

Taehyung: Ugh fucking blind dates, they're all so annoying I can't stand it

Adam: I know your majesty, the king and queen are just trying to help you find a partner for when you take over as king

You rolled your eyes and huffed crossing your arms

Taehyung: I don't care nor need a partner though! Fucking annoying..

You tilted your head as you noticed a familiar face getting out of a taxi outside of the orphanage, you frowned as you muttered to yourself

Taehyung: What's he doing here..?

You looked over at Adam

Taehyung: Change of destination, drop me off at that orphanage

Adam: Okay, but why so suddenly?

You shrugged and watched as he walked inside holding a giftbag

Taehyung: Just wanna look into something..

Jungkook's P.O.V

You walked inside and smiled as everyone immediately ran up to you cheering and hugging you tightly while calling out your name

Jungkook: I brought you all something~

You walked over to the table and put down the presents you bought, they all gasped happily as they examined the presents

Minji: Are these really for us?!

You hummed and nodded smiling warmly

Jungkook: Of course! Just remember to share the toys and brush your teeth after eating the candy~

The other kids thanked you before immediately starting to play with the new toys happily

Byul hugged you tightly and smiled up at you before he pouted softly

Byul: I missed you

You booped his nose and picked him up as you giggled softly

Jungkook: I missed you too, have you been good?

He nodded and hugged you tightly

You were close with all the kids but you and Byul were especially closer since you've been taking care of him ever since he was born

Jungkook: Come to think of it, its your 6th birthday soon!

You put him down and he nodded as he held your hand

Byul: Yeah..

You crouched down and frowned as he seemed sad so you held his hand and looked down at him

Jungkook: Whats wrong buddy?

Byul: I've been here since I was born.. why does no one want me?

You gently held his hand as you smiled softly but felt your heart hurt, knowing that feeling all too well

Jungkook: I know it's tough, but hang in there okay?
Besides I think they're missing out on adopting an amazing and smart kid.

He lifted his head and smiled at your words, you ruffled his hair gently

Byul: Can't you just adopt me? Please? You're basically like my papa already!

You smiled softly and shook your head

Jungkook: As much as I'd like that I can't, right now I cant provide you with anything so you're better off here..

As you stood up and turned to go talk to the staff for a bit you widened your eyes as you saw Taehyung

Jungkook: Sir? What are you doing here-

Everyone gasped and bowed as they noticed it was the prince that walked in, he walked up to you as he looked around

Taehyung: Just checking out what you're doing here Jungkook-shi.

You scratched the back of your head nervously

Jungkook: Well it's my day off so.. uh..

Byul looked up at Taehyung and pointed at him

Byul: You're not being mean to my future to be papa right?

Taehyung raised an eyebrow in shock and looked up at you, you patted his back as you blushed lightly

Jungkook: Greet him properly Byul, he's the prince and soon to be king.

Byul bowed quickly before glaring up at him again

Byul: So are you?

Taehyung chuckled softly as he crouched down infront of him

Taehyung: You've got the same attitude as Jungkook huh?
Don't worry, I actually find Jungkookie here quite interesting

He stood back up and looked at you

Taehyung: Are you done here? I wanna talk with you about something.

Byul hugged your leg as he looked up at you

Byul: I don't want you to go..

You crouched down and fixed his shirt before holding his hands

Jungkook: I'll visit next time I have a day off okay?

He sighed but nodded understandingly, you hugged him which he gladly returned.

After saying goodbye to everyone and talking a little woth the staff you and Taehyung headed out as he took you o a nearby cafe, you both ordered your coffees before heading upstairs and sitting down together

Jungkook: So.. you said you had something to talk to me about..?

You stirred your coffee slowly feeling slightly nervous as he looked at you like he was trying to read you like a book or something

Taehyung: Yeah..

You sipped your coffee slowly before looking up at him waiting for him to continue

Taehyung: First off, so you're a soon to be papa huh?

You rolled your eyes at him but hummed softly smiling at the thought

Jungkook: Well honestly as much as I'd like that, we both know that's not possible.

Taehyung hummed as he sipped his coffee nodding before continuing

Taehyung: Everyone seemed to know you so well, did you work there before?

You shook your head and sighed unsure of if you should tell him or not

Taehyung: Well then what?

You avoided making eye contact as you kept stirring your coffee slowly

Jungkook: It's not important

Taehyung: I order you to tell me

You looked up at him and crossed your arms

Jungkook: Oh come on you can't always use that advantage!

You then sighed in defeat before nodding

Jungkook: Fine.. I'm an orphan myself so I grew up there. Happy?

Taehyung immediately softened his smirk as he let out a soft "oh.."

You glared at him slightly as you pointed at him

Jungkook: Dont you dare pity me I swear to god-

He chuckled softly before muttering "cute.." under his breath and nodding

Taehyung: I won't
