Jungkook's P.O.V

You felt your chest clench painfully in sadness as you read the message Taehyung had sent, your hands trembling lightly as you closed your eyes trying to pull yourself together so you could face him

Jungkook: F-fuck... It really was unavoidable after all...

You slowly headed out to the garden and the gazebo you and Taehyung had started using as a meetup spot, everything was dark considering how late it was so you had to watch your step as you were walking.

You could make out Taehyungs figure standing inside the gazebo and walked inside nervously already feeling how heavy the air was around the two of you

Jungkook: H-hyung?

He turned toward you and sighed softly as you approached, you could barely make out his facial features from the darkness surrounding the two of you, but you could tell he wasn't like his usual self.

Taehyung: Jungkook...

You let out a shaky breath as you felt your whole body tense up, just wishing your suspicions were wrong

Jungkook: Y-you wanted to see me?

Taehyung nodded slowly and you gulped as you tried to blink away the tears building up

Taehyung: ...I can't do this anymore Jungkook

You sniffled softly feeling your heart hurt from the sadness you were feeling

Jungkook: H-hyung... I k-know I was the one whining a-about our differences- b-but... I-I don't wanna b-break up...

You felt tears roll down your cheeks as your voice was shaky

Jungkook: W-we can work something o-out- y-yeah? p-please?

You tried to reach out for his hand but he moved away making your gut clench as you trembled

Taehyung: I've been thinking about this Jungkook... we both know we can't keep on dating in our situation...

You sniffled softly as you felt like curling up into a ball from the intense hurt you were feeling, suddenly the place light up and you looked around while trying to hold in your tears and wipe them away

Jungkook: P-please don't leave m-me hyung... p-please I'll do anything!

Taehyung: Jungkook look at me...

You looked up at him slowly as he wiped your tears, you gently reached up and wiped a tear away from his cheek as well

Jungkook: H-hyung...

He slowly stepped back and you shook your head thinking he was gonna walk away, you widened your eyes and covered your mouth in shock as he suddenly got down on one knee holding up a ring while also shaking a little bit

Taehyung: ...Then, will you marry me Jungkook..?

You collapsed down on the floor and sobbed softly while covering your face feeling a big sense of relief and happiness wash over you

Jungkook: Y-you're not joking r-right? I-if you are t-that's cruel..!

Taehyung pulled you into a tight hug as you sobbed softly into his shoulder while hugging him tightly

Taehyung: I'm not joking bub... S-so will you?

You both pulled away from the hug slowly and you nodded smiling as you tried to wipe off your tears

Jungkook: O-obviously yes dummy..!

He chuckled softly as he had a few tears rolling down his cheeks as well when he gently helped you put the ring onto your left ring finger, he then carefully helped you up and you helped him wipe his tears as well while you both smiled warmly down at each other

Jungkook: I-I really thought you we're gonna break up with me...

He gently caressed your head as he kissed you before smiling

Taehyung: Sorry... I've been planning this for a while and I was so nervous you'd say no since I knew how worried about everything you were...

You hit his chest gently before hugging him tightly once again

Jungkook: D-dummy... Of course I am.. b-but I'm ready to face all the difficulties if it's you...

Suddenly your hyungs all ran out and popped confetti while cheering happily, you both blushed and you gasped seeing Yoongi there as well.

You ran up ad hugged him and he chuckled hugging you back

Jungkook: Yoongi hyung?! Wait weren't you abroad-

Yoongi: Yes but I obviously flew home for this, I can't miss my ''baby brothers'' engagement after all, Congratulations Koo

*Yes Yoongi and Jungkook refer to each other as brothers and best friends

He patted your head and you smiled while tearing up again

Jungkook: H-How did you all? Did you see?

They all nodded and giggled softly, you walked back over to Taehyung and he smiled as he wrapped his arm around your waist

Jimin: He told us about his plan, sorry we've known for a looong time

Jin: And he made a big fuss to us all not to give out a single hint about it

Yoongi: He even called me to ask for permission to marry you

You rolled your eyes as you leaned close to Taehyung feeling his heart beating fast, suddenly Byul who had been hiding behind Jin and Namjoon ran up to the two of you giggling as Taehyung picked him up

Byul: Papa and appa are getting married!

You smiled and ruffled his hair as you nodded before glancing up at Taehyung who blushed softly while looking admiringly down at you

Jungkook: Y-yeah we are

Byul hugged the two of you tightly as all your hyungs awed happily, quickly kissed Taehyung and then Byuls cheek as you smiled

Jungkook: We're gonna get in so much trouble for this by your parents...

Taehyung scrunched his nose teasingly as he shrugged

Taehyung: We totally are but we're doing it anyway!

He tickled Byul who giggled happily and moved over so you were holding him instead

Byul: Papa run! Appa turned into a tickle monster again!

You giggled as you all ended up running around the backyard playing tickle monster with Byul and just enjoying the time as a big happy family together with the hyungs.
