One month later...

Taehyung's P.O.V

You sat on a bench as you watched Jungkook and Byul playing around at the playground happily, it was currently 12:45 am so you all stopped by a playground on your way to dropping Byul off at school. He started at 1 pm today due to a teacher's meeting in the morning.

You chuckled and stood up as Byul ran over to you before picking him up and spinning him around making him giggle, people passing by whispering about how adorable your family was and also realizing you were in fact the royal prince

Woman: Woah I didn't know the prince has a kid already?

Woman2: I heard the kid call them papa and appa, isn't it kinda nice how families now days can be much more different than a couple of years ago?

Man: I used to think it was weird but my granddaughter showed me how there's actually nothing weird about it...

Woman3: I still think it's odd but... Hah I guess that not for me to decide

Jungkook smiled softly as he booped Byuls nose

Jungkook: Let's get going yeah? Don't wanna be late

Byul nodded and you put him down as you straightened his clothes and smiled patting his head, you all then started walking together to the school which was only a block down from where the park is.

Once you got there you and Jungkook hugged Byul saying your goodbyes before he ran inside excited to see his friends. You and Jungkook started walking back to the car while holding hands swinging them lightly

Jungkook: So I heard the crowning ceremony date was officially set...? Next month...

You nodded as you hummed softly, you could tell Jungkook was worried and tense so you stopped walking and pulled him close while looking into his eyes

Taehyung: Yeah it is... I can tell you're bothered by it so talk to me bub

He sighed as he nodded slowly while shrugging

Jungkook: I guess it's just... Crowning ceremonies usually come with a marriage announcement either the same day or shortly after...

You caressed his cheek as you gently made him look up at you

Taehyung: I know bub... But you don't have to worry, I'm not going anywhere.

He pouted slightly as he placed his hand on top of yours while looking into your eyes

Jungkook: I know your dad hates me at this point... I'm just scared he'll announce your marriage...

You kissed him before pulling away and smiling

Taehyung: First of all, even if he did that. We've got our own voices, if he does that we can just speak up and say no! Also, the media has already posted about us and Byul so marriage to some random woman would definitely make the public extremely confused.

You caressed his head before looking at the time on your watch

Taehyung: Don't think too much of it bub, it's gonna be okay. I gotta head off to the meeting now, should I call Adam and tell him to pick you up?

He shook his head as he smiled

Jungkook: I'll go have some coffee and relax for a bit.

Taehyung: If you're still here when my meetings done lets head home together

Jungkook's P.O.V

You smiled as you headed over to the restaurant Taehyung had his meeting at, he had texted you saying the meeting would be done soon so you headed over there so you could go home together.

You greeted the staff and smiled warmly

Jungkook: Hey, I'm here to pick up Kim Taehyung. He's in private room number 5

Staff: Oh yeah, their meeting just ended so go ahead, it's here to the right down the hall

You thanked them before heading down the hall looking for room number 5, once you found it you smiled happily as you opened the door

Jungkook: Hey hyung let's-

Your smile dropped as you saw Taehyung and another woman kissing right in front of you, you shook your head as you stormed off ignoring Taehyung calling out your name in the distance.
You sniffled softly as you wiped your tears just wanting to get out of there as soon as possible

Later...

You walked down the street while kicking some stones as a heavy feeling pressed on your chest and shoulders, the scene from earlier constantly on your mind making you tear up.
You had avoided Taehyungs calls and messages as you just wanted to calm down and try to process what you just had seen.

He wouldn't do that... Surely there's something more to it.

Suddenly a heavy rainfall broke out so you looked around and quickened your pace as you hurried over to that same restaurant you and Taehyung had one of your dates at.

As you walked inside Sana hurried over with a dry towel handing it to you

Sana: Oh my god you're soaked, dry yourself off before you get a cold!

You smiled softly and ruffled your hair with the towel

Jungkook: Thanks noona...

Sana: Your friends here too, want the same order?

You frowned and looked over widening your eyes slightly as you saw Taehyung at the same table you would usually sit at, he had his head lowered as he just stirred the food sighing.
You nodded softly before you slowly headed over sitting down in front of him

Jungkook: Don't pick at the food... You're not a kid hyung

He quickly looked up at you as he sniffled softly

Taehyung: Jungkook...

You sighed and looked away fidgeting slowly with your hands

Jungkook: Speak... I'm staying because you genuinely look like you regret it...

Taehyung nodded as he sighed sadly

Taehyung: She's my ex. After the meeting, she happened to pass by the room and saw that I was inside so she came in and started chatting with me. I talked to her for a bit but made myself clear I was waiting for you so we could go home together, but right when you walked in she jumped me... I swear I would never do something like that!

You raised an eyebrow as you crossed your arms

Jungkook: Really...?

Taehyung: I have CCTV footage to prove it!

You giggled softly and shook your head as you sighed

Jungkook: It's fine I believe you, you don't need to go get it

Taehyung scratched the back of his head shyly

Taehyung: Oh no like- I have the CCTV footage on my phone-.. like I already have it. I got it as soon as you left and I couldn't get in contact with you. So can I show you, just to prove it...

You bit back a smile as you nodded and reached over ruffling his hair gently
