Taehyung's P.O.V

Once you got back to the car you gently put him down in the back seat putting the seatbelt on him before once again making sure your jacket was covering so he could warm-up

Poor kid was out there without a jacket he must be freezing...

Byul looked up at you tiredly while rubbing his eyes

Byul: Arent you gonna take back your jacket?

You patted his head as you smiled down at him

Taehyung: I'm warm from running around looking for you silly, but you can keep it warm for me in case I get cold right?

He smiled softly as he pulled it closer nodding, you smiled as well before closing the door and getting into the driver's seat turning on the heater.

Jungkook looked over at you and smiled softly, you wiped a tear on his cheek before ruffling his hair gently

Taehyung: See you can relax now, I told you we're not giving up until we find him. And look we did, and he's safe with us now

Jungkook smiled tearing up even more and you chuckled quickly kissing his forehead

Taehyung: Awwww don't cry it makes my heart hurt...

He giggled softly as he sniffled and hit your chest gently

Jungkook: Don't be cheesy.. let's go back

You nodded and drove off glancing at Byul through the rearview mirror every now and then to make sure he was okay

Jungkook's P.O.V

Once you got back to the mansion you and Taehyung got out of the car before opening the backseat door, Taehyung then gently unbuckled Byuls seatbelt and lifted him up carefully not to wake him as you both headed inside

Jin and the queen ran up to the two of you immediately gasping

Jin: You found him thank god!

Queen: So this is Byul...?

Taehyung shushed them as you nodded and gently fixed the jacket as it was about to fall

Taehyung: Let's talk later, this kid needs to sleep and warm up. Jin have some porridge and warm milk delivered to my room tomorrow morning

Taehyung turned towards you

Taehyung: Is he allergic to anything?

You smiled and shook your head feeling your heart flutter at how caring of Byul he was

Jin: Of course, you two go get some rest as well

You both nodded and carefully headed up the stairs and into his room, Taehyung gently laid Byul down in the middle of his bed and tucked him in as he sat next to him

You walked over and sat down on the bed as well, sighing as you gently caressed his hair before putting your hand on his forehead to check if he has a fever.

Taehyung got up walking into the bathroom while you talked softly to yourself

Jungkook: I thought he wanted to be adopted... I don't understand why he would run off like that...

Taehyung walked back over to the bed holding a small cold wet towel placing it over his forehead gently

Taehyung: He wants to be adopted, just not by a stranger... the bond you two have is obviously strong

You looked down at Byul sleeping peacefully and smiled softly as he reached over and held Taehyungs hand in his sleep

Taehyung: I'll have the doctor come take a look at him tomorrow, he might need some fever reducers for kids if his temp doesn't go down...

You nodded slowly and got up

Jungkook: I should take him back to my room..-

Taehyung shook his head as he stood up as well before heading over to get changed into something more comfortable to sleep in

Taehyung: Don't be ridiculous, you are both staying with me tonight. Come here, you prefer just a t-shirt to sleep in right?

You nodded and he smiled handing you one of his t-shirts before kissing your cheek

Taehyung: Let's get some rest, don't think about anything else. What matters now is taking care of Byul right?

You smiled and nodded

Jungkook: Yeah.. thank you hyung

In the morning...

You yawned tiredly as you sat by Byuls side holding his hand while he slept, Taehyung smiled and walked inside the bedroom carrying a tray of breakfast followed by Jin carrying a tray with Byuls porridge and warm milk as promised

Byul slowly opened his eyes as he looked around tiredly

Byul: ...Hmm, where are we?

You helped him sit up as Jin smiled and handed you the porridge and put the warm milk on the nightstand

Jungkook: Here, Jin hyung made some porridge for you bub

You grabbed the spoon and picked up some blowing on it before feeding him, he smiled softly as he looked up at Jin

Byul: T-this is really good...

Jin smiled as he ruffled Byuls hair gently

Jin: Eat up kiddo, you gave us a big scare yesterday

You fed Byul until it was all gone and smiled proudly down at him

Jungkook: Want more?

Byul shook his head as he held your hand tightly while looking up at you

Byul: Are you going to send me b-back now? I don't want to go back, p-please?

You caressed his head gently as Taehyung sat down next to you, Byul looked up at the two of you pleadingly

Byul: P-please don't send me back...

Jungkook: But I thought you wanted to be adopted bub... Living like me isn't what you want darling...

Byul sniffled softly as he hugged you tightly meanwhile Taehyung watched the two of you gently rubbing Byuls back comfortingly

Byul: I want to be your family, you're like my papa not them! I don't know them and they want me to call them mama and papa!

You lowered your head as you gulped feeling your heart clench sadly

Jungkook: I know bub but.. I don't live in a big room, this is Taehyungs room... And this isn't just any house it's the royal families house where I am a se-

Taehyung: -Where papa works as my secretary.

You looked up at Taehyung and he nodded as you sighed

Jungkook: Either way I can't provide you with your own room- heck I don't even know if I could send you to school bub...

Byul hugged you even tighter as he sniffled softly, you could feel your shirt getting wet and you looked away fighting back tears as well

Byul: I d-don't need to go to school... I can work with you instead!

You wiped a few tears as you smiled softly while looking down into his eyes

Jungkook: I can't let you do that... You need to go to school bub, you're so smart I've seen it myself, even if you weren't still- bub you have to go for my sake okay?
