Taehyung's P.O.V

A week later..

You were walking down the hallway on your way to your room when you saw Jungkook cleaning the windows, once he noticed your presence his breath hitched and a soft blush covered his cheeks as he avoided eye contact pretending to be extra focused on the cleaning

You sighed but chuckled softly as you walked up to him

Taehyung: So how long are you gonna keep trying to avoid me?

He cleared his throat biting back a smile as he kept cleaning the windows

Jungkook: Psh I wasn't avoiding you- I was just busy

He climbed a bit higher on the ladder and you looked up at him chuckling seeing how focused he was

Taehyung: Oh right of course, avoiding eye contact, running in the opposite direction and hiding when you see me. Very busy indeed

He shrugged as he looked down at you and smiled shyly

Jungkook: Well I'm not running away now, am I?

You shook your head and smiled up at him

Taehyung: Fair enough, so.. are you still mad at me?

He shook his head as he giggled cutely making your heart do a little happy skip

Jungkook: No I accepted your apology already silly

You hummed and tilted your head still watching him, something about him just made him stand out and make your heart react in ridiculous ways

Taehyung: Then have you had time to reconsider my offer?

He frowned in confusion, still staying focused on his work

Jungkook: Wait what offer

Taehyung: ..About staying by my side.

He immediately turned and looked down at you in surprise

Jungkook: Hyung I told you to stop joking around like tha-

He suddenly gasped as his foot slipped making him fall off of the ladder, you immediately hurried over and sighed in relief as you managed to catch him before he hit the floor

You both looked into each other's eyes for a bit still trying to let the small scare sink in, he blushed and looked away as you gently put him down before he could hear your heart not so subtly beating really fast

Taehyung: Be careful you could've gotten hurt again!

He scratched the back of his neck and nodded softly apologizing as he was still a bit surprised

Jungkook: Yeah-.. Thanks for catching me- I would've hit the ground pretty hard if it weren't for you

You nodded and noticed he had dropped the rag he was using earlier, you crouched down to pick it up but chuckled as you and Jungkook reached for it at the same time making your hands overlap

He giggled and shook his head as he looked up into your eyes

Jungkook: What kind of cliché movie is this?

Jungkook's P.O.V

Taehyung hummed softly as he kept looking into your eyes looking more serious, your heart suddenly started to speed up as you really got to once again take in all his features. I mean how is he even a real person? He's ridiculously handsome..

Taehyung: I.. wasn't joking around about what I said though

You gulped and widened your eyes slightly, your heart fluttered in excitement but your mind went into a small panik knowing it would be wrong

Jungkook: Hyung we-

Taehyung covered your lips with his finger as he shushed you

Taehyung: Forget about my parents, social status and everyone around us.. I genuinely want to get to know you better..

You smiled softly and ruffled your hair as you looked around shyly

Jungkook: Me too..

You could see how Taehyung's eyes lit up as he got a handsome yet adorable smile on his lips

Taehyung: Then what do you say about us having like.. uhm.. secret dates from time to time..?

You giggled softly as he stood up before helping you up as well

Jungkook: I-I'd really like that actually

Taehyung chuckled as he blushed lightly while ruffling his hair

Taehyung: Aaah I sound like a little kid.. I have never done or felt anything like this, and I.. don't wanna rush into it?

You smiled feeling a form of happiness you haven't felt in a long time, he looked down at you and you looked around making sure no one was around before patting his head giggling

Taehyung: Is that okay with you..?

Jungkook: More than okay.. I don't want to rush into something either, I really wanna get to know you..

He smiled and caressed your head gently while you looked up at him

Jungkook: The mighty Kim Taehyung has a soft and shy side huh?

He rolled his eyes and chuckled

Taehyung: Oh shut up, you'll only see this side of me.
