How I imagine Leo's voice^

NOTES & FULFILLED PROMISES

"YEA so basically that's the entire story." I say as we do our hair for school the next day. She ruffles hers up, her dark layers laying perfectly on each other.

"Wow..." she says, it's all she can say and I nod. "Yea my life right now is fucked. That's why I'm happy it's the homecoming game, maybe I'll have fun for once in my life." I say and she laughs before gasping.

"Wait!?" She says and I laugh, putting on slightly pink lip gloss and looking at the door as it opens. Leo strides in, pushing his keys into his pocket as the lanyard hangs down.

"We're leaving soon, girls." He says, looking me up and down before staring at his sister. "What if we were naked you idiot!" She calls and he sighs, "I've seen both of you naked recently and one of them was scaring." He says and my eyes open wide and look at Rose.

"WHAT?!" I scream and she huffs, "DID YOU HAVE SEX WITH MY BROTHER!?!"

"EVERYBODY HAS!" I scream and she starts giggling uncontrollably as she tries to finish her makeup.

"I can't even argue.." she says with a shake of her head and Leo's tall figure leans against the doorframe. "I'm not that much of a man whore!" He says and she shakes her head, "When was the last time you kissed somebody you didn't know?" She asks and he bites his lip, looking at me nervously before he glazed over his eyes.

He realized we're not... together anymore.

"Two days ago." He says and she raises an eyebrow at me, "Wow okay you move on quickly." She huffs as we move of her bedroom.

Oh...

so quick..

That was the day it all happened...

He left me.. and then kissed somebody...

"You told her!?" He screams after me and I nod, looking back at him. "Of course I would. We tell each other everything." I mumble, obviously slightly passive aggressive to him. I didn't expect to be, we were fine before.

But I still love him.

And he kissed a girl the day he did that to me, and after he told me he still loved me.

Then we rush down the stairs and grab our backpacks at the bottom.

He chuckles as he follows us, leaning on the handrail and engulfed in his mind. His eyes were foggy but full of happiness, he was imagining something. What? I don't know...

I walk slowly over to my mom who is looking through scrapbooks with Jemma, who is currently on a break between meetings. My mom lays there in her cashier getup and laughs.

Sure we weren't rich but fuck even after all of this were happy!

I lean over and hug her and she kisses my cheek, "You don't have to go-"

I shake my head, "I don't wanna hold onto it.." I say and she nods, biting her lip before pulling out a photo of me kissing Leo on the cheek at one of our earlier beach house visits. He seems so happy. His eyes were shining and his smile was huge.

Then she hands me another one, this time from this beach trip. It was me and Leo, me sitting in between his spread legs and leaning my head back on the couch while we laughed. His head was in the crook of my neck.

"Keep it with you." She says and I furrow my eyebrows, "Why?" I ask and she licks her lips and sighs, looking at her hands and finally taking off her wedding ring.

"You gotta now you're loved even when everything is playing against you." She says and I smile. "Thank you, momma." I say before Leo and rose both groan at the same time, waiting for me to leave.

"Okay!!" I say, looking at my mom and smiling. "I love you!" I call and she nods, "I love you more sweetie."

"Fuck you, Rose!" I call and she laughs before flipping me off. I chuckle, getting in the back of Leo's car with her and pulling my legs over hers.

"Y'all are stupid! Yellin at me for talking to my mom!"

"You think we talk to our mom?" Rose asks, furrowing her eyebrows at me as I screech. "YOU RICH ASS BITCH!" I call and she laughs as Leo gasps, "I wanna be a rich bitch" He whines and I ruffle his hair. I was still angry, he saw it in my eyes, I know he did.

"Sorry but you're a generic ass blonde bitch." I say and Rose sighs, "Sorry for the bad news..." we act like we're telling him someone died as we say this and he laughs.

"Fuck blonde people..." he says and I squint my eyes at him as Haze rushes out of the house.

"I will. I think they're hot..." I say, looking at my nails. he growls, "Stop teasin!" He pouts and I laugh lightly, a smile erupting on my face as Haze runs into the car.

"Jesus Haze you almost made us late!" Rose calls and he gasps for air, leaning in and giving her a kiss from the front passenger seat.

"Hey!" Leo says, slapping Haze's arm as he starts backing out.

"I'm going middle school dance rules on you, there must be a balloons length between your guys' bodies at all times!" he calls and Rose glares at him as Haze leans back, "God I'm too tired to fuck with you right now.." he says as Rose chuckles, rubbing his shoulder before leaning back in her seat diagonal from his.

"So!!!!!!?????? What'd y'all think about homecoming?!" Rose asks and he ruffles her hair, "Do you guys really say 'Y'all' that much down here?" He asks and Leo chuckles as Rose sighs.

I watch him in entertainment.

"It's actually do y'all really say 'y'all' that much down here!!" Rose corrects as me and also hold in our laughs.

"Here in Jaydelin we are really fucking special, everybody curses way more than they should, everybody says y'all, we have this weird southern accent that's kind of Australian and is hard to explain-"

"I noticed that one." He pouts out and she covers up his mouth. "Shut the fuck up." She says before she continues, and my laughter flies out of my mouth.

"Anyways, now I'm done explaining the reason I'm alive, I was thinking maybe I could go with Haze and Roxanne could go with Blake and we could wear like black and-"

"Wait what?" Leo asks at the mention of Blake Hamilton.

"Oh come on Leo you're not dating!" She says, looking over at me with a small smirk. "You can go with whatever ugly ass whore you kissed two days ago!"

I smile at Rose, and she smirks at herself in satisfaction. Haze's eyebrows furrow, "Wait what the fuck did I miss?"

Rose covers his mouth again.

"Well I'll date her soon..". He mumbles, slightly embarrassed. she laughs, "I know but let her have some fun while she can, I don't want you to be the only person she's had sex with-"

"WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT THIS!" I scream as I embarrassingly dig my head into Haze's arm for comfort.

"Love, I know you fucking hate me but if you have sex with anybody else I'll rip their head off and eat it for breakfast." He calls and she shrugs,

"You say that like I haven't heard about what happened two days ago." Rose says, I raise an eyebrow. "Leo did you do more than kiss her?"

He swallows, not answering.

"Oh my god Leo!" I say in surprise. I felt sick. He fucked a girl the next night as me??

Rose laughs a little, Haze's hand on her leg, and Leo looks at her as we park, "HEY!" He calls to her as he starts swatting my back. "I'm gonna have to implement the middle school dance rules even more!" He says and I laugh as he gets out of the car and rips my door open.

"No touchin!" He says, trying to grab my hand to help me out but I quickly shove him off. But when we walk in something isn't normal, it feels off.

"Jace! Jace!" We hear from the office as he takes my wrist and drags me in with him.

As he always told me: his business was mine.

But I don't give a fuck about his business when he fucked another girl.

"Yes?" He questions, slightly confused as he still grips onto my wrist.

I don't do what I could've easily done and slither out. I liked it....

"Oh my gosh I think you'll love to hear this news!-" Mrs Gamela says, she was a lovely skinny black woman with beautiful hair and straight across bangs.

Ms Mal grabs the paper from Mrs Gamela and smiles, "I can deal with them!" She says and Mrs Gamela retreats slowly, slightly intimidated.

"Oh fuck.." she mumbles as she reads the note. She hands it to Leo and swallows. "you can decide what to do about that..." she says as he looks over the letter.

His face falls and for a second, a split second that was too quick for anybody else to notice, but I did, he let go of my hand...

He immediately picked it back up and pulled me closer. His breathing is heavy as he takes his hand off of my wrist to fold the paper up and stuff it in his pocket.

His hold is tight as he nods thankfully at Mrs Mal and drags me. He runs down the hall with me in his hand to the nearest bathroom.

"Everyone is going to think I'm your hook up!-" I say and he interrupts me by kissing me aggressively. When he pulls back his breathing is heavy and his smile is bright.

"Fuck off Leo!" I say, pushing him away. He grabs my wrists and pins them back. "What did I do?!"

"You fucked a girl while I was getting assaulted!"

"I'm sorry, but you know for a fact that's how I deal with my emotions."

"It's still disgusting, Leo. I can't believe that you would even WANT to do that with another girl when you supposedly loved me so bad."

"You wanna know my deepest darkest secret then?" He asks, obviously trying to make me feel better.

"I'm not lying when I tell you that every single time I fucked anybody, I thought of you to get hard. I did it to Jack off and I did it with girls but you were the only girl I grew up attracted to. I had to. To be truthful it was terrible since I was so angry at you but who doesn't love fucking somebody they're angry at?"

I don't respond. I'm flattered, but I'm still angry.

He leans in, his forehead against mine.

"Im doing every single one of my promises for you today, Roxanne." He says and I raise an eyebrow, "Are you dying?!" I ask and he chuckle, "God no! I'm living!" He says and I furrow my eyebrows.

"What was in that note?!" I ask him and he looks at me mischievously, "You'll have to see." He winks and I shake my head, looking around.

"That's what I'm trying to do here!" I say sarcastically and he laughs, his hands rubbing gentle circles with their thumbs on my waist.

"I'll tell you tomorrow, Roxy." He says and I sigh, "You have a homecoming game tomorrow!" I say and he pushes his lips together.

"I'm probably gonna have to quit that..." he says and I furrow my eyebrows, "You can't!"

"Well I am!" He shrugs, leaning in for another kiss but I put my finger over his mouth. "You can't keep kissing me, Leoooooo!" I whine and he pouts.

"Why!"

"Cause then I'll get all scrambled and boom you're my boyfriend again!" I say and he hmphs. "Like Rose said, I have to go fuck Blake Hamilton-" I start but he covers my mouth.

"Okay first off if you go anywhere near that boy I'll literally fucking kill him. You don't get to fuck anybody else. You're mine." He says, letting his hand drop.

"And second, I guess just for today... let me be your boyfriend again, and then we'll break up until I get out of college or you get into my college." He says and I huff, "Why Wait..?" I ask and he swallows.

"Because I don't wanna pressure you into doing it too soon.."

"You still have 8 months before you leave.. I'll be fine then!" I say and he bites his lip.

"... yea."

"How am I supposed to go without you for 2-4 years until we go to college together or live together, but also not fuck anybody else?"

He smirks, "Not dating doesn't mean I won't catch a plane back just to fuck you. I'm rich for a reason."

"My lady..." Leo says as he walks in with a bag of Chinese food. He closes my door as I take off my reading glasses from my homework about the industrial revolution and smile at him.

"Why?" I ask with a smile and a blush as I grab the bag and the wobbly plastic forks.

"I told you I'd fulfill all of our promises." He mumbles, sitting down next to me and taking my glasses and putting them onto my nightstand.

"Leo I'm confused..." I say as I grab him a fork, hand it to him, and dig into the food.

"About what?" He asks his head leaning on my shoulder and his arms around my waist. He's tired.

"I said I wanted to just be friends so I could learn how to cope with it myself but fuck I'm having to learn how to cope without you instead!" I laugh and he bites his lip, "You might need that..." he says and I furrow my eyebrows.

"I was saying that I wanted to get back together with you.... why would you say that?" I question as he plays with the rings on the fork with his thumbs.

"I'm going to college Roxy..." he mumbles and I run my fingers through his soft blonde hair, "But you're not leaving soon, Leo! I just want to love you while I can, so I take back what I said and my stupid plan because I want to be with you." I say and his breathing is heavy.

"I wanna be with you too, Roxy. That's why I'm giving you everything and fulfilling my promises. I want you to be happy... with and without me."

"What?" I ask, and he looks up at me with his perfect eyes and smiles at me with tears in his eyes.

"You were right.... I wasn't telling people I loved you because I was scared you didn't love me to the same degree but also because I have to leave you and I'll get too attached to you, Roxy." He says and I grab his jaw softly.

"What was in that note, Lee?" I ask and he bites his lip.

"I'll tell you tomorrow... but are you okay with me holding your hand around school, kissing you, hugging you just for these two days?"

"I'd want you to everyday...." I say and he chuckles, leaning in and kissing me, putting Chinese food on the ground. And moving on top of me.

He pecks kisses all over my neck as I giggle, "And tomorrow, I'll wear light blue jeans.." he jokes and I grab his head.

"I love you..."

His face flashes with something before he wiggles down and lays his head on my stomach, his arms going around my waist.

"I love you too..." he says quietly as I grab my reading glasses. "This time... I'll read to you."
