MY ANGELS

"GERONIMO!" I hear from outside, followed by a splash and the sounds of laughter while the sun sets. I don't think I've moved one bit since me and Leo finished our little squabble. Our bodies are intertwined as we try to get as close as possible to each other.

"You wanna go downstairs now?" I ask with a chuckle and Leo sighs, "Sure, baby." He says, "let me change." He says as he pops up, my half naked body lays in his bed, wake from his body.

I stand up, still wearing my swim top and shorts as I redo my hair.

He takes off his pants as I watch him and swallow. But then... what?!

"What. Are. You. Doing?" I ask as I watch him and he turns around, tying the drawstring of his shorts. "What?" He asks, his white Calvin Klein's waistband hangs out of his black swim shorts.

"You wear underwear under your swimsuit?" I ask, my arms in form of me defensively as he furrows his eyebrows. "Yea a lot of guys do, if they didn't then when they wore a swimsuit there dick would stick out when it got wet."

"huh.?" I ask again, not sure what's happening or how to process it.

"How do you not kno- ohhhhh... poor little Roxy's never had a boyfriend before me!" He pokes fun and I lean against his bed frame.

"Well fuck you too Leo but I'm sure not many people would mind anyway since everyones already seen your dicks." I say and he flips me offs getting real close to me as he grabs onto my hips. "And yet you still want my dick inside you even though it's been in so many other girls." He says with a smirk, trailing his tongue across his upper set of teeth as I run my hands through his hair and his eyes immediately snap shut bringing my body closer to his.

I smile, whispering in his ear, "Yet I'd be the best you've ever had..." he chuckles, kissing my cheek and twisting my head up to his to kiss my lips.

"I wouldn't doubt it." He whispers as he pushes me away by my butt. "I will keep my eyes on you, baby! I know guys will hit on you! If I need to I'll bring the girls surrounding me to you!" He says and I furrow my eyebrows, kissing my middle finger and flip ping him off as he smiles.

He 'catches' my middle finger like what you do with blowing a kiss. I smile as I rush down the stairs, leaving him behind. I walk out onto the patio and immediately see Rose in a—rather ironic (sarcasm)—Rose covered bathing suit.

Haze is with her, illegally drinking a bottle of beer as he watches her with a smile. He's probably gonna get too drunk and tell her he loves her or something.

FUCK ROXANNE DONT JINX IT!!

"ROSE!" I scream and she her eyes light up. "ROX!" She screams back as we envelop each other in a hug. "Didn't you guys see each other this morning?" Haze asks as he places his lips around the bear bottle, taking a sip as Rose looks at him like he was fucking made by Picasso.

Why won't they get together yet! I'm for real about to do matchmaking if Haze doesn't admit his love immediately.

She smiles at him a little before shaking her head and squinting her eyes at him, flipping him off. "Screw you shes my best friend." She says and he chuckles.

"I'm insulted..." he says sarcastically and she sticks her tongue out, "me and Rox are together forever, no mans gonna fuck with us big guy." She says, slapping his ass as I laugh at her sheer bluntness and touchiness.

I don't know if she'll be a needy or a bossy girlfriend but I think I'm gonna bet on the latter.

"Did you just-" he asks buts before he finishes she nods, "yes, yes I did."

He laughs, as she takes his beer out of his hand and takes a big gulp. Leo finally comes outside, seeing me and then furrowing his eyebrows at Rose.

He grabs the beer, thinking it's Rose's and shakes his head, handing it to a guy walking past as Haze looks at Rose with wide eyes. Leo smiles at me as he walks past and onto one of the lawn chairs.

"Did you just get my beer taken?" Haze asks and Rose pushes her lips together, trying to hold in her laugh as Haze gasps. He grabs her and throws her into the pool...

I wish I could have a relationship like that...

I will one day. With Leo.

I laugh as I jump in after them, jumping onto Haze's back to get him off of Rose as she screams.

I drag him under as Rose hood on top of him, we push him back up as Rose growls. "You will learn not to mess with the masters of violence Haze. You will." She says encouragingly.

He laughs as I feel a hand on my shoulder pull me back, "Hey," his deep voice says as his brown hair curls from the water he was under.

I was always into lighter hair...

"Hey, Blake!" I day, turning around as we got to the side of the pool. Blake Harbor, my only other crush than Leo, he was like a crush rebound. He was the only guy not scared of Leo's threats.

"It's good to see you again... I thought we kinda had a thing this summer but I didn't see you at any of Gordy's parties after our last one."

"Oh yeah worry about that I had a trip with my friend."

That's when I turn round and see Leo staring at me while he talks to Reed and Andrew, his friend and a football player. He has his own beer in his hand as his eyes rested on me and Blake. I give him a small smile before turning back to Blake.

"Y'know I've never really been on a trip-"

"I'm sorry Blake I have to go." I say as I pull myself up and onto the concrete side of pool.

"But I thou-" I don't let him finish before I run over to Leo and smile. "We're allowed to be friends, Lee." I say as I grab his hand and quickly jump into the pool, him following in suit.

As I pop back up I don't see him, looking around but as normal he picks me up by my feet and throws me over his shoulder and back into the water.

When we both pop up again, I brush his hair, which has turned a shade of brown from being wet, back.

"How are we supposed to be friendly when I can't resister the urge to kiss you?" He mumble and I bite my lip.

"Whenever you want to kiss me just flip me off, Lee. It's what I always did." I say and he laughs. "I'm going to have to get a fucking tattoo Roxanne-" I laugh before pushing his head under again.

Matching tattoos already?

I laugh as I start swimming to the side of the pool, trying to get out as he takes my foot and drags me back in, pinning me against the side.

He looks at me out of breath before he jumps onto the ladder, smiling as he runs to the door back inside the house, nobody looking or caring what I do but staring at him like he's a madman.

Leave him alone...

I run after him, seeing he got caught up by a bunch of girls as he looks for a way to exit, but they're surrounding him. I smile as I run past him and smile, beckoning him to follow my wet body as I run upstairs. Leaving the sight of the beautiful strawberry clouds as I do so.

I see him follow behind me, his muscles contracting as his abs shine, wet from pool water. His hair drops small drops of water onto the ground, and his hands get everything he touches wet.

including me.

I scream as I start running up the stairs again, as though if he caught me I wouldn't be able to escape.

I run into my room, closing the door and jumping onto my bed and crawling over to the other side. I stand up on the other side of the bed just as he comes in, closing and locking the door behind him as a thigh strand of his beautiful hair falls down onto his forehead.

"What you gonna do?" I ask as he walks nonchalantly over to the other side of the bed.

He smirks at me as he grabs onto my pillow and winks before rubbing it all over his wet body. "Leo!" I scold and he bites his lip.

"Come over here and I'll stop getting your bed soaked." He says and I growl, squinting my eyes. "So you're getting the pillows wet huh? Is that cheating or-"

"Yes." He says and I laugh, looking up at him before jumping onto my bed and into his arms.

He drops the pillow, hearing the music blasting as he grabs onto my ass and picks me up. My legs wrap around his torso as I smile.

"Can you flip me off now Lee?" I ask and he bites his lip, his eyes traveling all over my face as he nods. Once he's done he looks me in the eyes as we get closer, our lips barely touching as my eyes slam shut, waiting for him to kiss me.

But when he doesn't... and doesn't, my eyes snap open and look at his conflicted face. "Lee?" I ask and he swallows, "Fuck it." He says, his face still stiff and sharp as he smashes his lips into mine.

I trail my finger along his sharp jaw as I move my body against his. "You're so cute, Roxy." He mumbles, pushing me down onto my warm bed which is not that wet.

His head then finds itself traveling to my neck as I run my fingers through his hair. He groans and I smile.

My hands go onto his back as I run my hands over his body.

"Lee I really want to say it...." I mumble and he brings his head up, red lips swollen from kissing as his green blue eyes contrast.

He just stares at me for a second, out of breath before he swallows.

I push him off from on top of me so he's on his back and wrap myself around his side.

"Leo..." I mumble but he just stares at me, biting his lip. "Leo please say something-"

"something." He mumbles and I slap his chest, pushing against him as I stand up, but he grabs my hand and pulls me back next to him.

"I'm just joking! I.... I want to say it back, and I know what I'm feeling but I don't want to rush into it yet. I know I won't... but what if I lose you? What if then everybody makes fun of me for falling in love with a sophomore?"

"Then you shouldn't be ashamed." I mumble, and he sighs. "I don't think I would be anymore..." he mumbles. I sigh.

"Then why can't you say it?" I ask and a smirk raises on his face.

"I can, I'm just waiting until you wouldn't expect it." He says and I laugh. "Maybe on your birthday?" He asks and I shake my head.

"This was the perfect birthday present, Leo." I mumble and he smiles.

"What was?" He asks and I smile, "You. I got you finally, Lee."

His face lights up as tears prick his eyes.

"Oh my god...." he mumbles happily, before shaking his head to rid the tears and looking at me with a smug smirk.

"I've got something bigger for you, Roxy." He says and I bite my lip.

I look up at him and immediately feel the same feelings I felt the day I met him almost 10 years ago.

Even before he hit puberty, before he had his cocky smirk, before he grew out his fluffy hair, before I even knew him.

I felt this.

I looked at him and just went.... woah.

I smile, biting my lip as he moves so he lean sober me, our eyes connected in a battle as his hair grazes my forehead.

"You're so beautiful, Leo. With your perfect soft blonde hair I always wanna run my fingers through, your beautiful blue green eyes that I can't stop staring at, your perfect fucking body, how tall you are. Even when I was angry at you, you were leaning against the wall next to the staircase and all I could think was... that's kinda hot. I can't get you out of my mind, Leo. Whenever I see you it's just immediately me wanting to cry because you're mine, you're mine Lee."

He smiles as his tongue trails across his upper set of teeth.

"Are you sure you're not just on your period?" He asks and I chuckle, "It's both." I say and he laughs, a deep one going through his entire body.

"You wanna go get chocolate?" He asks and I nod vigorously as he smiles, "I'll get some clothes on, Roxy. I'll come back in once you're done."

"Okay... Leo?" I ask and he turns around to look at me while he unfolds a black T-shirt from the side of my bed, winking at me. "I love you..." I mumble, and yet as I planned, he doesn't hear.

But all I want him too say, if I had those angels that could make him read my mind.

He would say,

"I love you too."

FLASHBACK

SEPTEMBER 18, 1979

"I wove you Pa!" I scream, I've never been able to pronounce my Ls properly. "I love you too Honey. I'll pick you up at 7, right?" He asks and I nod before walking into the house and running towards Rose who was at her mom's legs.

"Rose!" I scream as I wrap my small arms around hers, her thin brown hair tangled and her face dirty from pasta sauce. She wasn't the cleanest. Or the quietest.

I liked that about her.

Pa and the y'all scary man who answered the door begin talking. "Hey I'm Johnson!" My dad speaks and the brown haired man speaks, "I'm Lucio, you're daughter seems quite sweet!" He says before a much smaller figure comes down the stares and walks towards Lucio's side.

"Who's this guy?" the little man asks with furrowed eyebrows as me and Rose's arms separate.

"Leo be nice! You're such a cocky little man." He says before looking up again at Pa, "This is my son Leo." He says and my dad sticks out his hand for Leo to shake.

"Hey Leo, stay off my daughter." My dad says and him and Lucio chuckles. Leo gags.

"Okay bud get along." Lucio says before pushing him towards us. Rose's mom sits at the chair, reading a book with reading glasses hanging lowly on the bridge of her nose.

The little man turns around, his blonde hair swaying a little bit as he walked, his black shorts and white shirt made him look quite scary as he squinted his eyes at me. His arms wrapped around the front of him as I smile.

Woah.. a boy?

"I'm Roxanne!" I say with a smile, going in to hug him as my little arms wrap around his torso. He stands still, nervous and not knowing what to do.

When I back away he swallows and breathes out heavily, squinting at me, "I'm Leo." He says and I smile.

"Hi Weo." I say and he scrunches you're his nose. "Not Weo! It's Leo!" He says and I quirk an eyebrow.

"That's what I'm saying!" I defend and he huffs. "Fine Roxy."

"Hey that's what I call her! Get your own name!" Rose falls from behind me to her brother.

"Back off, Rosie! I wanna call her a Roxy if she calls me Weo!" He says and I smile successfully.

He doesn't hate me!

"Rose! Leo! Stop fighting, we have a guest! I will let you squabble when we don't have a sweet young lady here." Rose's mom says and Leo huffs, looking at his dad.

"You let Rosie have Roxy over but you didn't let me have Reed over?" He complains to his dad and the man shakes his head.

"You confident little man I think it's time for you to go to bed." The man says, picking up Leo as he screams.

"We haven't even had dinner yet!"

In third grade when I figured out how to say Leo, he changed his name to Jace so that I would be the only one to say Leo just like he was the only one to call me Roxy.
