CHOCOLATE DAYDREAMS

CHOCOLATE DAYDREAMS
(Another one of my favorites 🥺)
I WALK into Leo's room, not caring about the party happening downstairs as we're caught up in each other. Our saint Rose has practically done all of the work anyway, she's a way better host than Leo.
Though I was a little annoying and preoccupying him.
I was wearing a pair of black sweatpants and a lacy white cami. My hair was up in a messy ponytail, hairs falling out and framing my face as I smile.
"Hey, baby." Leo says, finishing buttoning his jeans before he rubs his wet hair with a towel situated behind his neck. He was wearing a black shirt and black jeans, a belt keeping his shirt half tucked in perfectly, a little cross necklace hanging around his neck.
"Hey, Lee." I say, jumping onto his bed as he comes to the side I'm on and grabs my hand, pulling me up with ease.
"Let's go." He says, smiling as he grabs my hand. We walk down the hall, him pulling me down the stairs, knowing that wet drunk people won't remember very well that he held my hand a little.
I giggle as he pulls me into his car, watching as we drive away from his own party... just for me.
"Okay, do you want me to make you a fancy bag full of stuff you want or do you just want to grab a chocolate bar and take you up to the storm in Lindari to do the things we always did as kids." He says and my movements stop completely, freezing.
"Really?" I ask, surprised and as though I were to cry, and he chuckles, "What? Well which one?" He asks, his eyes turning to me for a second before he makes once again a perfect turn.
"You know which one I choose, Lee."

FLASHBACK
HALLOWEEN 85'
I throw my candy at Leo as he chuckles, his just recently deep voice speaks. "Don't waste it Roxy!" He says and I chuckle, coming towards him and opening the wet wrapper to reveal a dry piece of chocolate. I break it in half and smile up at Leo.
He was much older than me, and would never feel the same about my stupid crush. But I would still do as most girls do with their crushes when they're twelve, give them candy.
"Here," I say, putting it in his hands as his fingers graze mine. The rain from earlier just begins to start up again, small plops of water falling onto my forehead.
His braced teeth bite into the chocolate and I do too as I moan, "That's good..." I say and his body stiffens. "You really like chocolate that much?" He asks and I nod.
The water falls on me heavier.
"Well not dark chocolate that's crap, and white chocolate is my favorite, but milk chocolate is just as satisfying." I say, looking around and up at the dark sky, barely visible dark clouds covering it completely.
I get a single raindrop in my eye.
"We should go in-" I start, turning around to go into Leo's beautiful white mansion.
But his hand grabs mine, shaking his head, looking around and not seeing any headlights, not hearing any traffic, or seeing any more kids out.
"No... don't you wanna stay out here with me, Roxy?" He asks and I turn around slowly,
My eyes trailing up to his body. When I get to his face I quirk an eyebrow, "Why?" I ask and he comes closer. Closer. Closer.
"You'll see." He whispers in my ear as the rain starts pouring. Then he sticks his hand in my candy bag, grabs a handful, and runs down the slippery road.
"Leo!" I scream as I slowly start to gain on him, his feet sliding while I have no shoes on.
"Don't scream my name you'll make me get a b o n e r." He says and I gasp as I catch up to him, slapping his chest and pushing his body to the wet ground, water drops pellet him from all different directions.
"You're way to comfortable with me!" I scream and he smirks, opening one of my candies and eating it as I lean my top half up so I'm straddling his chest.
"I'm just a fourteen year old boy, Lil Roxy don't feel unique, either way," he starts, looking me dead in the eyes as his wet blonde hair turns a chocolatey brown just like my candy, "You love being close to me." He says and I squint at him, his long body standing as his hand grab onto my butt to hold me up.
He picks me up as he stands up, my arms around his neck as I growl. He pushes us up against a parked car on the side of the road as a pair of headlights drives by.
"What am I waiting for? To just sit in the rain?" I ask and he shakes his head, "You're not getting the point, Roxy." He sets me down, looking back at the road and walking when he sees its clear.
He smiles at me, a large genuine smile, before spinning. His arms are out so the rain pellets as much of him as possible, his hair scraggly all over his forehead as he screams.
"WOOOOOOOHHHH!" He screams before stopping, his arms still spinning when he looks at me.
"Try it." He says as he walks over to the car, wet hands in his wet pockets. "I don't know-"
"You little wuss, who raised you?" He asks sarcastically and I shrug, "I don't know, some random blonde guy only two years older than me-" I start but he punches my shoulder as he pushes me forward.
I laugh, looking at him with a smile as he watches me, a smile matching mine as his eyes stare intently on me. "Go on, Baby." He says and I swallow, looking both ways.
Baby....
He started calling me that this year.
And I do as told, spinning on one foot, my arms out as my bare feet finally get their karma and slip on the wet cement.
Leo chuckles, jumping into the puddle next to me back first as he lays down with me. He pulls himself up and crawls over me, still laughing at my wipeout as I breathe heavily.
He smiles above me, water from his wet body dripping onto mine.
"That was cute..." he mumbles, kissing my cheek, dangerously close to my lips.
That night was the first night I snuck into Leo's room late at night, scared for some stupid reason.
He let me lay with him, our barely dry bodies cuddling in our sleep unconsciously. His blonde hair smelt of coconuts, his evergreen cologne barely still on him.
My heart fluttered from his hold all night.
He didn't like me laying in his bed after that because Rose caught us snuggling in the morning.

END FLASHBACK
he smiles, "Of course I do, you still need to learn how to spin in the rain and let everything out!" He says and I laugh, looking down at my lap and squeezing his hand.
"Well it's not my fault every time I wiped out you called me cute, I was compliment strived Leo!" I say and he laughs, "Shut up, Roxy! I called you cute like once every hour at least." He says and I laugh.
"Which I loved by the way, do that again." I say and he gasps, "you bitch!" He says sarcastically, a fake girly tone to his voice, "I call you beautiful every second, would you rather it be "cute"?" He asks and I nod heavily.
He chuckles, leaning his head back as he laughs before he has to drive forward.
"Okay, lil Roxy."
"Don't take me back to the Lil Roxy days, Lee. I will cry, you were just the cutest trying to pretend you didn't like me-"
He flips me off.
"Ha! We changed the meaning of that jackass!" I say and he groans. "Fuck I spoke truth! Where's the undo button! Where's the undo button!"
I lean in and kiss his cheek as we pull Into the parking lot. "Why did you even do that?" I ask and he furrows his eyebrows as we step out, his keys lanyard hanging out of his pockets.
"Do what?" He asks and I shrug, "You just... multiple times when we were younger I'd look out my window to see you laying in the rain water. Just laying there. Why?"
"Oh..." he says, grabbing onto my hand as we walk into the store, "I don't.. really... know actually." He says and I chuckle, "I mean that acceptable-"
"I guess I just always loved the rain," he shrugs.
Then I remember, was he ever gonna tell me that Rose knew?
anyways....
"I know, didn't you have a fling with a girl named Water once?" I ask and he chuckles, "Yea I did, but those crowds aren't my thing anymore." He says and I smile, grabbing into his hand and squeezing.
We get into the store and buy chocolate before coming back out and getting into his car.
I buckle my seatbelt as he puts his hand behind my seat and turns around to back up.
"To Lindari?" He asks and I nod aggressively.
I break the silence, "Do you remember when we first met Lee?" I ask and he chuckles.
"Do I remember being an asshole? Of course."
"You weren't an asshole-"
"Yes I was! I was always an asshole back then, you don't even get to say I wasn't. I'm surprised Reed could deal with me. The name change in fifth grade really gave me a reset." He says and I laugh.
"I like Leo better." I say, running my fingers through his blonde hair as he shudders from my touch.
"Why?"
"You just.... you seem like Leo. You seem fiery and warm, snuggly but sarcastic and mean. It's just.... it's just the right thing." I say and he smirks, trailing his tongue along his upper set of teeth.
"Well I think you seem more like your middle name than Roxanne. Rolly. It's calm just like you. But also I dodged a bullet for you by making everybody call you Rox, it fits you more." He says and I squint at him, "What about Roxy?" I ask and he smirks at the Rose, his blonde hair falling in his forehead as I look into his blueish green, vivid, eyes.
"That's the name of the love of my life." He mumbles, not expecting me to hear before he turns to me for a second. "That's a cutie." He says with a wink and my smile grows.
Just say I love you, Leo.
Do it....
Fuck my guardian angel is retarded.
It takes about an hour of me and Lee humming until we get to Lindari, the sky is dark as we are in the middle of the storm. The rain splats on the windshield as I sigh.
"Did you bring towels?" I ask and he smirks, "or you could just take off your clothes-"
I slap his arm.
"Yes! Yes I always have towels in your car incase a certain clumsy girl I know spills something all over herself again-"
"You know I didn't mean to!" I scream and he laughs, "it was a joke, baby." He says and I huff, unbuckling my seatbelt and leaning back to grab some towels.
He smacks my ass and I laugh with a shake of my head as he gets out of the car, no other people in sight as we sit in the gravel road, ponds of mod beside our car.
I grab the towels and put them on his seat and turn around to see him spinning and screaming on the gravel as I smile.
He's so fucking handsome.
I get out of the car and run towards him, jumping into his arms as he chuckles.
"Hey, baby?" He asks and I look up at him and smile. "Huh?" I ask, music pouring from his car.
"You try." He says with a smile, leaning against the hood of his car as I try again. Spinning in my eldest, my arms out as I scream my heart away.
He smiles, walking towards me with his hands in his pockets.
"You haven't changed since you were fourteen huh?" I ask and he chuckles, looking up at me through his eyelashes with beautiful eyes.
"Well I know I've got you now..." he says and I smile. He smiles fully, his head moving up and looking at me.
"How about now, you just go with me instead of needing to do it by yourself?" He asks and I quirk an eyebrow.
He smirks, wrapping his arms around my waist as our wet clothes stick together. He picks me up and screams as he spins us around.
When he puts me down I sigh, looking up at him and squealing, "Again!" I scream and he smiles as he spins us again, my arms out as we scream.
When he puts me down I jump onto him so he holds me by my butt, I smile mischievously and he does the same.
He runs over to the mud surrounding the road and smiles as he drops us down.
Water pellets us still, mud flowing all over his back as I squeal.
"What are you doing!" I scream and he smiles, taking a handful of mud and dragging it from my cheek down to my chest.
"Lee!" I squeal but he flips us over so I'm the one covered in mud. I chuckles as I reach up and run the mud through his hair with my fingers.
I'm already covered in it so what's the point of trying to be clean?
He smirks against me and grab smite mud, pushing it all over me as I do the same, my giggles fill our ears as well as his low, deep chuckles.
"Youre so goddamn cute!" He says and I smile, "You're so handsome, look at you in your little mud suit!" I say sarcastically and he squints at me.
He takes my my hair and drags it in thick mud and I scream, wiggling, trying to get out from under him but I can't.
"Stop moving!" He screams and I growl, "No!" I huff as I take a handful of mud and do exactly what he did, mud getting thinner and flowing more like a river over me as I rub the dirt into his face. Slowly I draw a little heart in the mud crusted to his face as he feels my finger create the shape.
He bites his lip as his blueish green, electric orbs stare into my brown ones.
He breathes heavily over me for a second and chuckles, shaking his head before leaning in close and kissing my lips.
"Now would be as good of a time as ever to tell you I love you, Roxanne." He says and I go still.
"What?" I ask and he takes his hands and place them securely on either side of my face. He leans above me with a smile.
"Yea that was my reaction to when I was like twelve and figured it out-"
"I LOVE YOU TOO!" I scream and he laughs, "Obviously. You think I didn't know?" He asks cockily, his eyes trailing over my body as I slap his arm to get his attention before pulling him in to kiss his lips.
It's a ploy though.
I push the mud onto the back of his neck as he shivers. "It was a scheme! What kind of clownery-" I lean in and give him a real kiss, my muddy hands holding onto his face as I breathe heavily. The mud looked just like the melted chocolate in our hands that night, the first night we went out and screamed in the rain.
Oh god it was like I was in a chocolate daydream...
Our lips move in sync as though we were created like the stars that create a constellation, meant to be together.
He holds on to me tightly as rain washes away the mud but the flowing mud I'm laying in making it worse.
My heart was his, my Brian was his, my body was his. My everything was his. All my body could think about was him, my heart couldn't stop fluttering over him, and I just couldn't get his stupid amazing face out of my head.
He was eve try thing to me.
And that's how I understand that people call their boyfriends and girlfriends or their SO their world.
Because you look at someone and you think, oh, they look like blank. Or oh, they're not as pretty as blank.
You go to a job and you think, dang, I'm missing blank. Or dang, I should get blank some Th big on my way home.
And at home, with them or without them, all you can stop thinking about is them. It's every part of you.
I lean my forehead against his, our breaths clashing in a war as we breath heavily out our mouths.
"I love you so much, Leo." I mumble and a tear falls onto my face from his.
"I can't believe I finally get to tell you everything I feel, Roxy. For almost all I can remember it was always you, I couldn't stop thinking about you. I couldn't stop. I wished I could. I called you lil Roxy to trick myself into thinking we were little again and including like you. I messed solely with girls with blonde hair to try to get over you and your fluffy brown hair. Blue eyes to get over your brown ones when I looked in them. But it sousing even matter their eye color because your brown eyes were different.... your eyes are golden in the sunlight, grey in the rain, black in the daytime, and they have a blue tint when it's night out and a clear sky. I don't want to forget that sorta stuff anymore. I'm not gonna try to forget you. I wanna stay like this forever with the most beautiful girl in the world." He says and I bite my lip.
I kiss his lips again, sighing. "I don't think we have to move anytime soon." I say and he chuckles.
"Trust me, we do unless the mud will stain my jeans." He says and I chuckle, "god damnit you're the cutest." I say as he jumps up. He Hets to his car and rips off his shirt. "I know." He says.
He rips off his pants too, knowing nobody else is out on a gravel road in the middle of a rain storm.
"What are you doing?" I ask as he jumps into the car.
"I'm not getting my seats dirty!" He says and I eye him up, "You're not gonna make me-?"
"Show me your tits right now." He demands jokingly and I bust out laughing.
I take off my shirt and pants, rather scandalous as I put my towel on the headrest to protect my hair from getting mud all over the seat.
Leo does the same.
He's smiling smugly.
