As a kid, Arthur Hawkins often wondered why people didn't really seem to notice him. He'd joke that he was invisible...until he learned he really was. Neither of his parents knew how or why Arthur was able to turn invisible, and neither did he. Not that it mattered. Even though his powers did come in handy when escaping from the occasional bully, all he wanted was to be normal. He saw his powers as a curse, and that was all they were to him until he finally accepted the fact that he could never and would never be normal.

Arthur went on to join a international police force, and it was then the curse became a blessing in disguise. Whenever the police had a hostage case on their hands, Arthur quickly became know for being the best man for the job, as well as for appearing exactly when his comrades needed him most. No one knew about his powers, and Arthur liked to keep it that way. Hostage missions were the only times he allowed himself to fully use his powers, and the only times he was honestly grateful for them.

During one particular mission involving the police teaming up with the group of Avengers led by Captain America and Black Widow, Arthur was separated from his team while trying to protect a small family. He managed to get them to safety, but in doing so left himself exposed. His powers decided to kick in only after he had taken a bullet to the leg and the back of his shoulder. 

An hour later, he was found by one of the Avengers: a woman with red energy leaking from her fingertips. Even though she couldn't see him, she could sense the fear and pain the man was in, and she wanted to help.

 This was how Arthur Hawkins, the Invisible Man, met Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, the woman with who he would form a friendship and eventually come to love.

A/N: So this is the first romance plot I've ever come up with, and I'm really proud of myself for it because it feels original and, if I were a reader, it sounds like something I would want to read.

I'm secretly hoping no one takes this plot, because for some reason I feel really attached to it, and I want to write this, but I feel like I wouldn't be able to do it justice and because I don't normally write romances. But I still want to really write this. 

UPDATE: I've decided to take on this plot myself, because I love it so much. I hope you don't mind. 

NOTES: 

- Arthur and Wanda bond over their powers and their relationship develops from there. Please make it a slow burn love story, fluffy and soft. 

- His full name is Arthur Tristan Hawkins.

- If Arthur stays invisible for too long, side effects include dizziness and nausea among others.

- His powers act up when he gets flustered or nervous.

- Arthur is brought back to the Avengers Facility after Wanda informs Cap's team he has powers.

- He goes along on the Lagos mission in CA:CW. There should be a moment where he tries to comfort Wanda afterwards. He is also put on house arrest at the Facility.

 - Arthur has a younger sister named Casey, with who he shares a strong bond.

- Arthur likes children.
