Brazen peeked through the crack on the office door and saw his beloved husband slouched over his desk, typing rapidly on the keyboard and filling the room with small clacking sounds. The room was dimly lit by the computer monitor and the lamp on Braden's desk. Next to the lamp to Braden's left was a half empty mug of coffee and to Braden's right were two stacks of paperwork and folders. Brazen observed as Braden paused his typing to let out a drawn out yawn.

The sight made the blue haired male sigh.

To catch his husband's attention, he gently knocked on the door a couple of times before fully pushing it open. Braden turned around and his tired eyes softened at the sight of the man standing in his doorway with a slightly stern look on his face.

"Brazen...", Braden muttered.

"Braden.", the blue haired male responded, raising his eyebrow a bit.

Braden sighed and motioned for him to come closer, "Get in here."

Brazen lost the stern expression and approached Braden with a small yet loving smile on his face. Braden extended his hand out and took Brazen's so he could pull him closer, making him stand between his legs. Brazen then put both of his hands on Braden's shoulders and massaged them a bit before sliding them up to cup his chiseled face. The dark haired male hummed and leaned into his husband's touch. Brazen chuckled a bit at the way Braden accepted his show of affection. It was something he liked about him when he's tired, he becomes mellow and less defensive.

"How long have you been awake?", Braden asked a little groggily.

"Hmm, I'd say about 10 minutes. How about you, how long have you been awake?", Brazen queried with a slightly teasing tone, the corner of his lips curling up into a small smirk.

Braden responded by closing his eyes and smiling sheepishly. Brazen put on hand on his dark tresses and stroked gently.

"You really need stop getting up in the middle of the night to continue your work.", Brazen stated.

"But—"

"You know I hate it when you do things behind my back.", the blue haired male closed his eyes and smiled warmly.

Braden exhaled through his nose and pulled Brazen even closer so he can rest the side of his face on his torso, wrapping his arms around Brazen's waist to keep him in place.

"Sorry...", was all he said.

Brazen played with Braden's ponytail, twirling it with his index finger. He moved Braden's hair away from his face and leaned down to give him a kiss on the forehead.

"I'll forgive you again but this will be the last time, got it?", Brazen spoke.

"Yes.", Braden nodded.

The blue haired male glanced at the clock to check the time. 5:24 am. Braden had been awake for 4 hours now and had only gotten 3 hours of sleep.

"Let's go back to sleep now, yeah?", Brazen gently brushed his knuckles against Braden's cheek as he spoke softly.

Braden glanced at his monitor and stacks of paperwork before nodding his head.

The two males held hands and Braden let Brazen lead him to their shared bedroom down the hallway. Pushing the door open, Brazen pulled Braden inside the room before shutting it close and locking it. He dragged his tall husband to the bed and motioned him to lay down, to which the male obliged and climbed into bed. Brazen joined him once he was comfortable and lay beside him, resting his head on Braden's chest and listening to his steady heartbeat.

With a small tint of pink on his face, Braden pulled the covers over them and slowly wrapped an arm around Brazen.

"Rest, darling.", Brazen spoke softly, reaching up and caressing Braden's cheek with his thumb.

Braden responded with a small nod, taking Brazen's hand in his before turning his head to give the blue haired male a kiss on the head.

"Sleep well.", was the last thing Brazen said before drifting off to sleep.

Braden let out a low chuckle before closing his eyes, heaving out a relaxed sigh as he fell asleep with his beloved in his arms.

i was planning on writing a dark oneshot for this couple but my brain wasn't in the mood to think of a good plot so i just wrote a short fluff . oh well .
