~•Hiccup's POV•~

Rapunzel and Merida were talking behind jack and I so I figured it was a good time to ask questions.

"Where's toothless?" I asked jack.

"Who?" he kept looking forward.

"My dragon. you know, the huge lizard thing with wings?"

He rolled his eyes and looked at me. "the stables, with the rain deer. and hopefully he didn't burn it down. he did give a rookie deer a pretty bad burn though."

I managed a slight smile. "that sounds like him... and another question, what's so important about that staff?" I pointed to the long stick, with the curved end, in his hands.

"Oh this thing? it holds the ice powers that only I can control. my source of energy."

"And what if it were broken?"

"If it were to brake, I'd be wounded on the inside. it wouldn't exactly kill me but id be pretty weak."

I nodded and looked at the workers working around the huge workshop I was still confused about everything but I do admit, I was getting used to it.

~•Rapunzel's POV•~

"He's cute." I said dreamily.

"What? hiccup?" Merida turned her head towards me.

I nudged her arm and pointed to Jack Frost. "no silly, him. he is just so nice and the way he looks at me." I sighed happily.

"Yeah whatever. I still don't trust anyone here. for all I know, this might be a huge trick to kidnap us." She rolled her eyes.

"Negative. I think they are all really nice people.

"We'll see about that."

"they said we were guardians and aren't guardians suppose to watch over people? they'll watch over us and we'll watch over them, right?" I smile.

"You always think about things positively like that?" she ignored my question.

"I always look on the bright side of life." i whistle and walked up to jack.

Merida looked at me for a moment and smiled. but quickly got rid of it, probably because you didn't want to show she was happy.

But She just shrugs and walk up next to hiccup.
