~•Hiccup's POV•~

"Toothless?!" I walked outside calling for my pet dragon. It was noon time and I had been so busy that I've forgotten to feed him.

"Toothless come on! do you want to eat or not?!" I continued. usually by now he would've jumped out onto me.

"Toothle-" before I could finish, the huge black dragon jumped out of the bushes and landed on top of me. making me gasp.

"Oh hey there boy." I squeaked as I rubbed his head happily. he gave me one big slobbery lick then got off. "where were you? you're usually out right away."

Toothless gave a small frown but nudged me to his feeder.

"Yeah yeah." I walked over to a bucket of fish and put a couple in a large container, big enough for his head to fit into.

He munched on the fish happily as I rubbed behind his ears. "good boy."

When he finished I took him to the small clearing, the place I first met him.

It was a sunny day. perfect matter in fact, it was perfect. for flying of course.

I straddled myself onto his back and held onto him. "you ready?" I patted his side and he squatted down, getting ready to take off.

"One.... Two.... THREE!" toothless dashed up into the sky. he popped up above the clouds and looked around happily.

"Good job! you ready for the next trick?"

He nodded and waited for my permission. "go!"

With that, he twirled down towards the water, and by the time we were one inch from the ground he turned up a little and flew right above the surface of the water. I woo'd and praised him, which made him go faster.

He dodges sharp rocks coming out of the water and circled around a group of rocks piled on top of each other.

"Now it's the time for the main event..."

We both smirked and he stuck one of his claws into the water, making a small wave. he slowly added one claw after another until every claw on every paw made one huge wave behind us. some of the water sprinkled over us.

And finally, after making the huge wave he darted up the rim of a mountain. the tallest one.

Crack!

I heard a faint whimper from toothless. I looked behind us to see he snapped of the top of a tree, leaving a cut on his leg.

"You alright boy? do you want to go back home?" toothless seemed pretty determined but the look in his eyes showed pain. the cut was deep.

I tried to stop him but he insisted on going.

"Toothless!!" I struggled to stop him but he still wouldn't give in.

Snap!

I looked back to see that he hit his wing.

"No toothless! we need to get you back, now!" I screamed over the wind.

He nodded but he couldn't turn... he instead plummeted 50 feet to the ground.

"No! nonononono!" I closed my eyes tight and held onto the dragon, I didn't want to see what would happen.

We landed with a thump, a huge pain all over. every part of my body felt broken. I felt my warm blood trickle down the side of my face. I wanted to open my eyes but I couldn't.

It remand black.

I woke up on a dirt path, next to toothless. he was nudging me and trying to wake me up.

I stood up and patted his head. I didn't feel any pain. there was no blood on my face and my bones felt fine. I looked... clean and healthy. like nothing happened.

Toothless had a confused look on his face, which I could tell I looked the same way.

"How long was I out?"

Toothless and I walked silently back to the village. you could here yelling and arguing. like the usual, but I swear I heard my name... dad.

"Has anyone, anyone?! seen my son?!" father yelled, shutting up every single Viking.

"Aye, him and his dragon have been gone for awhile!" said a guy in the crowd.

"Even astrid or their other friends haven't seen em!" said another.

Father sighed and looked at a couple of men to his right. "you guys go check the mountains again." they nodded and headed towards the mountains.

I chuckle and shouted to the huge group. "Im right here! there's no need to send a search party!"

No response. they probably didn't hear me.

I walked to my dad. "dad I'm right here." I smile but I quickly faded as he walked away. "what?..."

Toothless walked over to one of the Vikings and touched his back. but instead of actually touching him, it went right through.

My eyes widen as I stood in front of a lady, but she walked right passed me in a blue light.

I gave a nervous look at toothless, who returned the look.

"Toothless... I-I think we're dead..."

A was going to hug him until a red bag covered him, bring him underground.

"Hey! who did tha-" I started to stay as the same thing went over me, bringing me down under.

AUTHORS NOTE:

So did anyone notice that hiccup was wiser? haha xD I just did. he actually knew he was dead.

And I had to bring toothless with him I mean, come on.
