<• Third person POV •>

"J-jack?" Merida says, looking directly into his yellow eyes. He was crying... She knew the tears belonged to the real jack.

He looks up at her, making her take a step back in fear. "so you're back? I wouldn't rely to much on your powers. you can see clearly what happened to your friends." jack stepped forward, kicking their bodies aside. they groaned in response.

"I wouldn't be to sure about that." Merida narrow her eyes at him and let her hair turn to fire. 'intimidate him... I have to try and get him distracted.' She thought. "Darkness's fear..." She repeated to herself.

Jack's eyes went wide. "Who told you that?"

"Why... you did of course." Merida grinned.

Inside dark jack's eyes sat the real Jack Frost. for the first time in awhile, he smiled. Merida listened to him, there was actually a chance that he would be returned to his regular form.

Dark jack tried to hide his fear. "you just got your powers. you can't defeat me." he took a step back.

Merida spread her arms out wide. "think again."

Immediately, everyone could feel heat spreading around them. even jack, inside the eye.

Then came the enormous ball of light behind the summer guardian. she had just created a second sun.

Dark jack yelled in agony, attempting to run away. but the sun was draining away his energy.

The regular jack shielded his eyes and hid the orb under his sweatshirt so he didn't look at the light.

The sun erupted and the heat and light disappeared. behind Merida was a giant crater, smoldering hot.

But she didn't hesitate when she ran to hiccup and rapunzel. they were now awake, but pale and tired.

The three of the stared at jack's body. he didn't move.

<• hiccup's POV •>

"Hey... you just created a star..." I said looking at Merida in awe.

"You saw?" she blushed with embarrassment.

"Well yeah. I might've been blacked out but that light and that heat definitely woke me up." I gulp.

Rapunzel got on all fours and crawled over to jack. Merida swung my arm over her shoulder and helped me limp over to her.

Punzie brushed a tuft of jack's black hair out of his face and gave a sad smile. jack laid motionless on rapunzel's lap. he was barely breathing.

<• jack's POV •>

I took the orb out from under my shirt to see nothing. the sphere was completely black.

"What the-" I banged on the orb again. "guys!"

I went to pound on it again but instead of hitting something solid, my hand went right through. I narrowed my eyes and lowered my whole body inside.

<• Hiccup's POV •>

Suddenly, jack's hair turned white again. rapunzel tensed up and stared at him with confusion.

"Uh..." Merida and I sat down on the other side of jack. "maybe his eyes..." I reached out and pulled one of his eyelids open.

"Hiccup! don't just-" Merida squeaked but paused suddenly as she noticed jack's regular blue eyes.

At first they seemed lifeless. but soon, his pupils adjusted on rapunzel's face. both of his eyes bolted open and he jerked his head up, looking at all of us.

"Jack?... are you- alright?" rapunzel said hesitantly.

Jack looked totally freaked out but he narrowed his eyes after a moment of silence. "you did it... merida" he looked at the red head and smiled. "star bringer."

Punzie yelped with excitement and tackled jack into a hug. Merida gripped my hand. I looked over to see her mutter something, "star bringer."

"You're alright!" punzie gave jack a billion kisses all over his face.

"You guys aren't angry with me?" he smiled at rapunzel and looked over her should at us.

I touched the cut on my forehead. "no, of course not. it's pretty obvious you were being controlled. you didn't mean any of this."

"Thank you..." jack blushed. "by the way, I was watching you guys this whole time."

Everyone else blushed along with him. "what?" we said in unison.

"Well not much Merida. she came along in the end. but pitch said I was trapped inside of my eyes?"

"Those tears... those were yours?" Merida snorted.

"You would've cried to!" jack shot her a glare.

"Rapunzel found a frying pan." I cut in.

"What?" jack looked down at the kitchen item in her hand. "I didn't notice that."

"I was planning on using it but you cut hiccup's head and I got totally side-tracked." She pouted.

"Hiccup's forehead..." Merida touched the cut but I winced, making her pull away quickly.

"I think that now that we are together we should tell more about ourselves." rapunzel volunteered. "I'll go first."

Merida, jack and I exchanged looks before nodding. "alright."
