<• Jack's POV •>

Once we got to the town, it was just night time. every light in every window was out and every child was asleep. I just had to get to Jamie and wake him up.

"Wow..." hiccup stares up at awe at the houses and apartments.

I look at hiccup and then to rapunzel and Merida, who also looked shocked.

"Ladies and gentlemen, modern civilization!" I grin and march towards Jamie's house.

"Do they have dragons?" hiccup asks.

"No." I say.

"Horses and castles?" Rapunzel asks.

"No." I stop in my tracks and stare at them.

"Bears and archery?" Merida asks.

"No!" I exclaim. "do you guys no anything about modern economy?!"

They all shook their heads.

I stare at them blankly and sigh. "I guess we'll have a little teaching lesson soon."

They all shrug and I lead them in front of a small house. it was surrounded in a wooden fence, which was made ratty throughout the years.

"Wait here. I'll be right back." I fly up to Jamie's window and tap on the glass.

Jamie sat on his bed reading a book. his head perked up to me, a wide grin appeared on his face.

Jamie ran over and opened the window for me. once I got in, he gave me a big hug. "Jack!"

"Hey, bud!" I kneel down and put my hand on his shoulder. "I have new guardians for you to meet."

"Really?" he looked over my shoulder. "where are they?"

I laugh. "wait, I'll get-" I get cut off by, literally, a giant pink flower sprouting from Jamie's bed.

We raise our eyebrows in confusion.

When the flower bloomed, you could see rapunzel (who had a huge, proud, smile), and hiccup and Merida (who were curled up at the bottom, completely freaked out.).

I snorted, trying to hold back the laughter.

"Jamie, this is rapunzel, merida, and hiccup." I put my hand out for rapunzel, who gladly took it and stepped down from the bed.

"And rapunzel just found out about her powers." Merida croaked.

Jamie blinked a couple times to see the three, and his huge grin re-appeared.

"Oh. My. God." He gaped at merida.

She looked around pointed to herself. "me?"

"Your hair! it's so- so poofy!" he exclaimed.

Hiccup and I start to crack up.

He quickly runs over to punzie.

"And your hair is so.... Long!"

I pull Jamie away from their hair and looked him straight in the eye. "Jamie, we need your help to figure out merida's and hiccup's center."

"Gee, I don't know how to-" and when you thought his grin couldn't get any wider, it could.

"WHAT KIND OF THING IS THAT?!" hiccup shrieked.

"Her name is daisy!" Jamie called.

"ITS GOING TO BITE MY HEAD OFF!" he continued.

"Hiccup, it's just a dog." Merida stood next to him, wincing at his raised voice.

The dog snarled and growled. it was a rather big dog that always seemed to have rabies. out of all my years (at least 300), it is the scariest dog I had ever seen.

The dog took a step closer and even Merida got freaked out.

"What is this going to prove exactly?" rapunzel asked. Jamie's sister, sophie, and one of her friends had braided her hair so it wouldn't touch the ground. and to be honest, it looked beautiful on her.

"Bravery test." Jamie responded, putting a chip in his mouth from the bag her brought outside.

"Hiccup is failing." I laugh and sit on the ground. rapunzel and Jamie sit on either sides of me.

After the dog took a couple more steps, hiccup waved his hands in the air and yelled 'I SURRENDER!' and dashed to sit behind me . but Merida was still out there, she was freaked out, but didn't back down.

Merida took a step forward and brought out her hand, raising her palm to the dog's nose so it could smell her.

The dog barked and happily nudged her hand with his head.

Jamie dropped the bag of chips and shot up. "BRAVERY!"

"that's her center..." I mutter.

They applaud for her and she comes running over, the dog at her heels. "yes!" she laughs.

"Now it's time for hiccup." Jamie nods

"Defiantly nothing scary." punzie giggles.

"So... a maze?" Merida says.

We sat upon a rapunzel-made flower platform that she had just figured out how to make.

"Yeah. logic and bravery are the only things I can think of....besides, hiccup seems like a smart guy." Jamie says. he held a pair of binoculars and was looking down at hiccup, who ewes standing at the beginning of the maze.

Merida shrugged and and joined him by the edge.

"Enjoying your powers?" I look over at rapunzel and smirk.

"Very much." she says happily. "it's actually quite beautiful." she taps her foot on the platform and laughs.

"OK HICCUP YOU MAY START!" Jamie called down to hiccup.

But hiccup didn't start, instead he examined the hedges. after awhile, he began to make his way though the maze. he would stop to look at the walls multiple times but he made it to the end as quick as... well, a dragon.

"My god, that was like... 3 minutes!" I exclaim.

"3 minutes exactly." Jamie stood up and showed me his watch.

Rapunzel made the platform fly down, pick up hiccup and fly to jamie's house.

"Your welcome jack." Jamie said proudly. "Merida is bravery and hiccup is logic."

"You did a good job kid." I ruffled his hair. "now, I'd go to sleep if I were you."

"Yeah of course!" he hugged me then closed his bedroom window, getting comfortable in bed.

I turn to rapunzel and nod. "I think we should find somewhere to sleep for tonight."

She smiles and flies to a small clearing in the forest, surrounded by an old stone wall from around the 1800s.
