~•Merida's POV•~

Hiccup and I stayed in Rapunzel's old room as jack and punzie where downstairs. we didn't talk much, we've both been pretty speechless since this whole thing happened.

"I died." hiccup said softly. he stood next to the bed his fingers brushing over a picture of a mountain.

I looked over at him, his eyes were sad and his face was pale.

"Toothless crashed and I died." he looked over at me and I joined him by the picture. "he crashed on a mountain. it-it was like he meant it. he was determined to get to the top, he didn't turn back."

"Well at least your story was heroic. I hit my head on a rock." I say, trying to lift the mood.

Hiccup chuckled slightly and sat on the bed, looking down at his hands. "I don't know about heroic. hitting a rock seems pretty badass if you ask me."

I smile and scan the room of paintings. but the joyful smile soon melted away once I saw a picture, the resemblance of my past.

I hurry over to the painting if the bear, it strangely looked like my mother... when she turned.

I heard a creak from the bed and footsteps behind me. hiccup stood next to me and looked at me and to the bear curiously.

"Mum." i mumble and touch the bear's head gently.

"Your mom is a bear?" hiccup asks and I give him a glare.

"She was turned into a bear. and I saved her." I turn back to the picture. "I wonder how she is. and dad."

Hiccup kept a close eye on me. and I realized that there were tears streaming down my face.

I quickly turn away and face hiccup. he had a worried look on his face.

He pulled me into a hug, friendly, just the way I like it.

He breaked away a bit and looked at me. "Well now you have me... and jack and rapunzel. we're you're family now and we aren't going anywhere."
