Shiloh Vega and Eleanor Sun used to be friends. 

Despite the two of them coming from different backgrounds, they were absolutely inseparable. Eleanor was rich, raised to be the absolute best. Shiloh wasn't poor but she wasn't middle class either, stuck in between and trying her very best. The two girls were so close and it was enough to arouse suspicions once the two reached their final year of middle school. Truth be told, Shiloh liked her a lot and she told Ellie as much. She'd even make the mistake of kissing her, something a shocked Ellie would tell her other friends. 

The story of Shiloh being an obsessed lesbian with no sense of personal boundaries spread like wildfire and Shiloh became the butt of all jokes. 

Worst of all, it had been Eleanor's fault. She pulled away from Shiloh, abandoning her when she needed her the most to hang out with the popular crowd. Betrayed and angry, Shiloh tried her best to move on from Eleanor. Years passed by and they stayed far away from each other, merely being in the same room when it came to soccer. Eleanor had become a self absorbed, shallow rich girl who only cared about herself and winning. While Shiloh ultimately turned punk, ready to fight anyone who looked at her the wrong way. 

The former friends turned enemies didn't think they'd ever speak to each other again. There definitely wasn't a chance in hell that they'd go back to being best friends. But on their way to Nationals, their plane crashes in the wilderness and they'll have no choice but to reconcile and work through their old, complicated and messy feelings. 

Neither of them were prepared for the darkness that would follow.
