Robert's POV:

Me, Ross, and Roy were all walking alongside each other, walking back to our houses after a long day of school, my backpack almost dragging on the floor cause I didn't wanna put it on my back because it would get sweaty. Ross and Roy were talking about a project in science while we were slowly making our way to my street, my house was the closest to our school so I always went home first.

We were about to pass my street before I interpreted Ross and Roy's conversation, "I gotta go home now, Cya guys." They both stopped talking instantly and I started to try and cross the street to make my way home before Ross stopped me, grabbing onto my shoulder. He had a worried upset look on his face, "Wanna come over to my house for a bit? Just because, y'know." I smiled before taking his hand off my shoulder, I appreciated his concern but my mom was gonna be home today and I wanted to spend some time with her. "I'll be fine, I'll give you guys a call sometime later tonight." I said smiling.

Ross and Roy looked at each other before Ross pulled me into a hug and Roy waved me goodbye before I crossed the street making my way to my house. I slowly made my way to my house, looking down at the floor before I met up with the door and took my keys out of my pocket, trying to unlock the door as quietly as possible because I could hear noise coming from inside the house, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes before opening the door.

The loud noise of a vacuum and the smell of soft vanilla filled the air, I opened my eyes confused as to why the house smelt so good and I was met with my mom vacuuming the house before she noticed me and dropped the vacuum. "Robbie!" She said as she made her way to hug me, I looked at her confused, she smelt like lavender and roses, which was very unusual. "Where's dad?" I asked as she pulled away from the hug, I was confused as to why that slob wasn't on the couch as usual.

My mom smiled softly before speaking, "He won't be here for a few weeks, he's working again and they constantly switch locations so sometimes he will be home, and sometime's he won't." "Is he working part-time?" I asked. "Nope, full-time." I looked around the house, the living room was fully cleaned, with no beer bottles on the floor and no cigars laying scattered around in an ashtray, stains from the couch were cleaned and the carpet looked like it had been washed from all the beer and blood stains. Behind the living room was the kitchen, the countertops were cleaned and no leftover pizza and wings from my dad always ordering, I could slightly smell a lemon scent when I walked over to the kitchen and looked around, there were flowers neatly placed on top of the table and all the dishes were put away.

I turned around and looked at my mom who was smiling softly at me as my eyes started to slowly water before I ran and pulled her into a hug, "Aw! Robbie..!" She said as she spoke, I could tell she was also getting emotional because her voice was slightly shaky. We pulled away from the hug and she wiped the small tears trailing down my face and gave me a kiss on the forehead. "I love you, Robert. Now you can free-roam the house without being scared! You can even invite your friends over if you'd like!" She said as he started walking back to the vacuum as I wiped away the leftover water from my eyes. "Really?!" I said quickly turning to her, who already had the vacuum in her hands, about to turn it back on.

She let out a chuckle before speaking "Yes dear, just go in your room and give them a call, it'll be loud because of the vacuum. Radford will be home around 7 tonight." I smiled and started stomping my feet, stimming out of pure excitement. This could be the first time Ross and Roy actually see my house nice and clean! "Okay, Mom!" I said as I quickly made my way to my room and shut my door behind me, I was about to lock my door but I remembered I didn't have to do that anymore. I happily jumped to my bed and flopped on it, pulling my phone out of my pocket.

I called Ross' phone, I assumed they would be still walking to their houses. Ross didn't pick up his phone so I called Roy on face time and he answered almost instantly. "What do you want?" Roy was still clearly outside and I could see Ross walking beside him and looking at Roy's screen, seeing me and smiling "Hey Rob!" Ross tried getting more in the frame and Roy pushed him away "Hey! Piss off! This is my phone!" He hissed at Ross before turning back to his phone and repeating himself "What do you want Robert?"

"Do you guys wanna come over to my house?!" I asked, accidentally saying that way louder than I should have. Roy gave me a confused look before Ross spoke "Isn't your dad home?" He asked, slightly getting into frame. "No! Not for a few weeks! He's working again and my mom cleaned the whole house, It's so nice!" Roy and Ross looked at each other before Ross speaks. "I'll come over, I gotta get changed first." "Yeah, I'll come over too." I smiled and kicked my feet "Great! Take your time, no rush! Gimme a text when you guys are leaving!" I couldn't keep my excitement under control, as I was now rambling and stabling at my words.

Roy ended the call and I sat up on my bed and made my way back into the living room where my mom was now sitting on the couch watching TV. I sat down beside her and she gave me a little hug and kiss, "My friends will be coming over, they will text me when they're on the way." I said. "Foods in the cupboard if they get hungry, I got a bunch of snacks." I smiled and leaned into her. "Thanks mom."

I was sitting at the kitchen counter eating a snack, my mom bought some rice crispies so I was just munching on those. I was on my phone just scrolling through youtube before I got a text from Ross that read, "me and roy met up, we're on our way" I opened our messages and shot him a quick "Okay!" before hopping off the counter and noticing my mom dressed up for work and making her way to the door. "Mom? Where are you going?" She stopped and turned around, she wore her usual work outfit, a neat collared shirt with a pretty yellow pattern on top of it, along with her purse on her side and her glasses resting on top of her head.

"I just got called in, I'll be home late." I slowly frowned and my posture worsened, my mom noticed and let out a small chuckle before making her way to me and giving me a hug, which made me feel better but the fact that she was still going was horrible, I really wanted to be around her today, even if Ross and Roy were coming over. She pulled away from the hug and ruffled my hair, "Hey!" I said, playfully swatting her hands away from the poofy hair that I just brushed. "Radford will be home soon, and you're friends will be coming over to keep you occupied, just don't make a mess, please." I pouted and let out a groan before accepting my fate "Finnnneeee,"

My mom gave me a quick kiss on my forehead and made her way out the door, I sat on the couch and slumped out of boredom before my phone gave me a buzz and I looked at my notifications. "we're almost there" From Ross, I sat up straight and stared at the message before smiling. Even though my mom was gone, that wasn't gonna stop me from having fun. I peeked out the curtains that lead to the front of my house and waited for Ross and Roy to make their way here, as soon as I saw Roy and Ross walk up my street I ran to the door and opened it, dashing my way out the door and running towards Roy and Ross. They were talking before Roy and Ross noticed me running towards them, I smashed into them both and wrapped my arms around them. "OW! Robert!" Roy and Ross accidentally smacked heads together, Ross let out a low groan in pain. "Crap! Sorry guys, I'm just super excited." I said, pulling away from the hug.

"Careful next time Idiot!" Roy said, grabbing and tugging on some of my hair. "Ow! Hey, watch the curls!!" After everyone settled down I couldn't keep my excitement in anymore, "Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!!" I said while stomping my feet and grabbing their hands before we made our way near my house but Roy was slipping from my hands cause he didn't like running. We stopped at my front door and I happily opened it.

Ross' POV

As Robert swung his door open the smell of vanilla hit my nose, we walked in and It was totally different than the first time I'd seen their house. It was so dirty before, with beer bottles all over the floor and the counter, and the smell of cigars would fill the air as soon as you would walk in, now it was totally different. "Woah," Roy muttered while looking around, he's seen Robert's place too. "I know right!?" Robert said out of pure excitement with a huge smile on his face, "It's beautiful! I'm glad you can actually have a safe environment for once!" "Yeah dude, This will be great for you." Me and Roy said and Robert smiled before pulling us into a tight hug, luckily we didn't bump heads again. 

"What should we do first?" Robert asked as we all pulled away from the hug, "Got any video games?" Roy asked which made Robert's face light up "Yes! Yes, I do!" Robert quickly ran to their room leaving me and Roy standing there in awkward silence for a few seconds before he came running back with a Wii in their arms along with three of the classical Wii controllers. 

"Ugh, a Wii? Really Rob?" Roy complained and I gave him a slight shove in the process when I notices Robert's smile lighten on his face. "A Wii sounds great Robert, I haven't played on a Wii in a while." I said while eyeing Roy and he rolled his eyes and sat down on the couch slumping. "Great! I have a bunch of games on here cause Radford hacked it for me in order to get a bunch I wanted!" I sat down on the couch next to Roy and I looked around, his place really was better from the last time I saw it, before there were stains on the wall from thrown glass bottles and pictures hung up on the walls were either broken or crooked, I'm glad Robert can finally feel safe in his own home now. 

"Done!" Robert got up from the floor after hooking up the Wii to his TV and pushed the on button on both the Wii and their TV. They then flopped beside me on the couch and gave me a soft smile, before looking back at the TV as it booted on. "Got any snacks, Robert?" Roy asked as he took his phone out of his shorts pocket, "Oh, yeah! I do!" Robert said before quickly getting up from the couch and walking to the kitchen behind the living room, I turned around to face Robert who was looking through the cupboards watching from afar while they were grabbing some chips, candy, and just snacks in particular. 

I was looking around Robert's house just to admire it some more, his mom did a really good job cleaning. "Hey, Rob?" "Yeah?" Robert said while struggling to get a bowl from a cupboard. "Where's Radford?" "Oh, He's working late. He'll be back at around seven." I guess that makes sense, I mean, the dude does work at a movie theater.  Robert came back with a bowl of chips and some dip in a small container and placed them on the coffee table in front of us, "Radford always makes this dip for himself so I'm sure he won't mind if we enjoy some, lemme get the rest of the snacks!" "Alright, Rob." Roy muttered while scrolling through his phone, he always mutters things when he's focused on something, he must be playing a game on it. 

Robert came back with some sour patch kids and some fruit snacks before sitting back down and grabbing the remote to get ready to pick a game, the snacks caught Roy's attention as he sat up straight and grabbed a few chips while watching Robert pick a game. "You guys wanna play Super Mario Bros? It's multiplayer." "Sure, why not." "That seems fine." Robert started the game and me and Roy started arguing over who should be Toad because Robert chose Luigi and both me and Roy wanted Mario, but I ended up picking Toad because I didn't wanna hear him fuss about it any longer.

"Stop fucking dying Ross!" Roy yelled at me, "I'm trying dude! It's hard to see with how short my character is!" "Robert stop going ahead of us! You keep killing Ross!" "Sorry guys!" Once we made it to the boss battle with one of the koppa kids and won we all sighed in relief and slumped back onto the couch. It seemed like we'd been playing for about an hour and thirty minutes screaming at each other and goofing around, but when I checked the time it was already 5PM, meaning we'd been playing for almost three hours. "Geez, It's already five." I said looking at my phone, "Really? That seemed so short." Robert said leaning over to get a peek at my phone. Roy stretched his arms before speaking "Ehh, I could go for a little break anyway." "What should we do now?" Robert asked, "What about a horror movie?" 

"A horror movie? Really Ross? The sun is still out, what's fun about watching a horror movie in the light." "Oh! I have an idea!" Robert said hopping up from the couch and going to the curtains and shutting them along with turning off any lights, it was way darker than it was before. "What about now?" "Eh, I guess that's better." "Sweet! I'll get some blankets!" Robert said before running off to their room to get some blankets. "What movie are you thinkin'?" I asked Roy before he gave me a confused look, "Me? You're the one that wanted to watch a horror movie moron!" "I know, but I suck at picking what movie." "God damn it, Ross." I let out a nervous laugh in response and Roy bumped into my shoulder giving me a cheeky smile.

Robert came back with a few blankets and pillows and threw them on top of us "There, nice and comfy!" Before making his way around the couch and switching the HDMI cable to their cable TV and sitting down next to me and Roy. "What movie should we watch?" "I asked Ross the same thing, he doesn't know." "I suck at making decisions dude, you know that!" "I know a good one we could watch!" Robert said while typing in "Childs Play"

"Childs play? Isn't that the one with the creepy killer doll?" "Yup, A classic." Robert said and put the movie on, getting under one of the blankets and grabbing some snacks from off the coffee table. Roy decided to do the same and got under his blanket getting comfy and watching the movie. I got in a comfortable position, leaning against the back of the couch and the armrest. Robert noticed and got closer to me and leaned his back on me, making it so I could wrap my arms around them and cuddle. I smiled and did just that, putting my face in the crook of his neck and receiving a small chuckle from them in the process.  

After a good while, most of the snacks were finished and the movie was halfway done, Roy was dozing off basically half awake, me and Robert were both clearly tired but still watching the movie. "How's the movie so far?" Robert whispered to me, trying not to disturb Roy. "I've seen this movie before you goof," I whispered back. "I figured, just checkin' in to see if you're awake." "I won't be for long," I said as I hugged Robert closer and got more comfortable, he let out a giggle in response before speaking. "I love you Idiot." "I love you too moron."

Third Person's POV:

Radford struggled to unlock the door with his keys, missing a few times before putting them in the keyhole. "Old stupid thing." He opened the door and was met with a very dark household and the smell of vanilla. "I can't see shit.." Radford said as he was putting his hand against the wall trying to find the light switch so he could flick it on, and once he did he was met with his home being the neatest he's ever seen it, but he got startled when he heard a low grown coming from the couch. He expected it to be his father since his dad is normally always being a low slob on the couch, but instead, he was met with three teenage boys all asleep on the couch.

Roy spread out like a starfish, one of his legs dangling off the couch and his blanket halfway off him while Ross was cuddling into Robert who was leaning on him. Radford smiled before shutting the light back off since he didn't want to disturb them and went to go take a shower.
