Let Me In!

-

Minnie sprinted through the spinning glass doors of LM Studios Tower, past the numerous amount of staff walking alongside of her, and straight towards the first elevator she saw the moment she reached the second floor hallway.

"Oh! Hold that door, please!" She yells, effectively gaining attention from the people waiting inside the crowded lift. She stepped inside, mumbling soft thank you's to the liftman on duty.

Glancing at her watch, Minnie's right foot started tapping impatiently on the elevator floor, her grip on the Ipad in her hold getting tighter as seconds pass. When she finally reached her floor, she hastily ran out and headed for her boss' office, whom she immediately finds sitting on her swivel chair, reading specs on as she scanned the mountain of paperworks sitting on top of her desk.

"Miss Manoban,"

Lifting her gaze, Lisa's face scrunched up the moment she was met by the sight of her panting assistant by the doorway. "What the– Minnie, did you run all the way here?"

Minnie, whose chest is still heaving, just lifted a finger up, apparently a way of saying she needed a second. When she finally caught her breath, she spoke again.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, miss, but a girl downstairs wanted to see you."

The statement, however, had Lisa rolling her eyes in annoyance. "You didn't cancel my appointments? Didn't I tell you to clear my schedule today? I've got a lot going on right now and I still have a gala to attend."

Minnie shook her head when Lisa turned her attention back to the paperwork on her desk, swiping hurriedly on her Ipad as she continued to stutter out. "I-It's actually not an appointment–"

"And she has the audacity to just walk in here at this hour of the night? Jesus! Go schedule an appointment for her and tell her to fuck off."

"Miss Manoban, if you could just look at this for one second—"

"LALISA MANOBAN WHY THE FUCK IS THIS TAKING SO LONG?!"

Minnie's job wasn't at all easy.

She watched the way her boss' eyes instantly shot open when the loud scream coming from the Ipad in her hold echoes the entire expanse of Lisa's office. "She says it's urgent, miss. A-and she threatened to get me fired if I didn't buzz her in ASAP."

Lisa stared at the device confusedly, then to a frightened Minnie, before exclaiming rather frustratedly, "Rosie?" She reached a hand up to massage her temples, eyes shutting tightly, "What on earth are you doing here—"

"FUCKING SAVE IT AND TELL THIS SECURITY OF YOURS TO LET ME IN!" Chaeyoung's angry voice cuts her off, startling Lisa's poor assistant once again.

Sighing, Lisa just nodded her head in approval, watching Minnie run off towards the elevator of her office and disappearing from her sight completely. Not long after, doors were abruptly shot open once again and a fuming Chaeyoung came marching into clear view.

Lisa didn't know whether to be confused or scared right at that second, but maybe it's the wiser for her to choose the latter, judging by the way the blonde slams both of her hands angrily on her desk.

What the hell did I do now?!

"Why weren't you answering your phone?! I was trying to contact you all fucking day!"

"Well, I'm sorry. But as you can see right now, I'm busy as hell."

"You idiot!" Chaeyoung exclaims heavily, while her eyes just kept on shooting sharp daggers towards the Thai. "If you hate picking up that goddamn phone of yours so much, maybe next time don't fucking tell me Jisoo is in Vegas when she clearly isn't!"

Lisa's eyes, however, widened at the statement, "Wha– She is, though! What the hell are you talking about?!"

"Oh, really? Then how come I ran into her yesterday in the very streets of Manhattan?! She couldn't have magically teleported here from Nevada, could she?!" Chaeyoung snaps, and Lisa had never feared for her life more.

"W-well, I don't know! She must've caught an earlier flight and didn't tell me about i— Wait... What?! You ran into her?!" Lisa suddenly sprung off her seat when Chaeyoung's words finally sank in on her brain, an accusing finger pointed directly towards the exasperated blonde. "And on the streets?! What the hell, Rosie?!"

"What the hell is right, Lisa! Some creepy old guy even tried to take our photo if it wasn't for her bodyguards scaring the hell out of him!"

Lisa shook her head, hands frantic as she held them right in front of the blonde's face. "Hold up. Did you just say bodyguards?"

"Apprently, she has those now, too!" Letting out a deep sigh, Chaeyoung slumped helplessly on one of the velvet couches in the Thai's office before burying her face into her palms. "I didn't know how to talk to her, or how to not make a fool out of myself as we speak again after so long, considering I had a lot to say. I couldn't even hold our gazes for longer than a second and god, Lis, it was just awful."

The sudden weakness engulfing the blonde's voice made Lisa sigh defeatedly, as well. She immediately walked towards Chaeyoung's spot, whose shoulders were now shaking lightly whilst soft sniffles escaped her lips. Lisa's heart broke at the sight, kneeling down right in front of the blonde and removing her hands from her face.

"Hey," She mumbles softly, but she was rather taken aback when Chaeyoung suddenly threw herself to her, arms wrapping around the Thai's neck tightly. "Shh, it's okay, Ro."

Chaeyoung just shook her head, eyes shutting tighter, as if doing that could possibly make her disappear.

She wanted to disappear, especially from the pain. She wanted to be left alone but, at the same time, she's scared.

"It's not, Lisa, it was horrible. She was right there, right in front of me. She invited me to her limo and she gave me whiskey and w-we were talking, Lis. She was talking to me. Yet, I still couldn't—" Chaeyoung continued to choke out series of uncontrollable sobs as she burried her face deeper into the Thai's shoulder. "She was so far away, Lisa. And I don't think I'll ever be able to reach her, anymore." Lisa nodded her head in understanding, silently urging the blonde to just talk. Chaeyoung needs it, and that, Lisa knew all too well.  "I don't think she'll let me, anymore, ever again."

Jisoo: Hey, are you busy?

Letting out a soft sigh, Jisoo attempted to lock her phone right after sending the text message when it suddenly chimed not even a second later.

Nayeon: Not really. Why?

Jisoo: I still have that plus one, you know?

Three dots appeared at the bottom left corner of their chat box, but it only lasted for a short second before it disappears again, making Jisoo chuckle amusedly, because she knew exactly the reason why—

Nayeon: My ex-girlfriend is hosting that gala, Jichu.

Jisoo: Don't be so scared of Momo. You aren't scared of me?

Nayeon: What do you know? Turns I'm busy, after all. Let's talk later.

Jisoo scoffed. She really wasn't just about to give in. She couldn't believe how stubborn Nayeon could still get most of the time.

(Though, she honestly finds it quite amusing, too.)

Jisoo: Please, Nadong. If Father didn't ask me to come, specifically, you know I wouldn't bother going. But he said he needs me to be there.

There wasn't a response to that. How rude. Jisoo had to let out another tired sigh before deciding to shoot her last shot. When she finally hit send, she closed her eyes as she desperately hoped for the best from the raven-haired girl on the other end.

Jisoo: And I need you to be there, too, for me.

Her eyes were still shut when her phone chimed once again, and Jisoo had to make sure she slowly, carefully opens them in fear of what might be the raven-haired girl's response.

(Turns out, there wasn't much to be worried about, anyway.)

Nayeon: Pick me up in twenty. You owe me big time, Kim Jisoo.
