Where Is She?
-
LALISA MANOBAN IF YOU DON'T LIKE ANSWERING YOUR PHONE PUT THE GODDAMN THING ON SILENT! Lisa winced visibly at the way her mom's voice suddenly echoed in her ears and pounded heavily against her inner skull.
Well, what do we know? Turns out mothers really do know best.
She cleared her throat, head slowly turning to her side where she was met by the sight of a still taken aback Chaeyoung next to her.
Lisa swallowed hard. "Uhh, wow. Wa– was that– I mean, did that person sounded just like Chu to you? I can hardly tell."
She chuckled the nervousness out of her throat, eyes widening even more the moment Chaeyoung turns her head abruptly towards her, furious eyes throwing sharp daggers. She's mad. Oh, god, she's mad.
She's mad and I am a dead woman. "L-look, Ro–"
"You knew where she is?" Chaeyoung's voice suddenly cuts her off. But it wasn't the interruption that grabbed Lisa's attention more. It was the fact that Chaeyoung's voice was soft and weak, the flaming expression on her face fading almost in an instant as the words rolled off her tongue.
Now the nervousness was out of Lisa's chest and was, instead, replaced by guilt, especially after watching the pools of hazel in the blonde's eyes reflect tons of mixed emotions all at once.
Sadness, confusion, betrayal... joy?
"Rosie," Lisa calls out once again, more cautiously, this time. Her hand made its way towards Chaeyoung's on the couch, and the moment she felt the warmth from the contact, Chaeyoung was so suddenly taken out of her clouded thoughts.
She pulled her hand away from the Thai's, furiously, eyes glaring at a guilty Lisa sitting just beside her. Standing up, Chaeyoung's much louder, and yet angry voice filled up the entire room.
"Oh, my god, Lisa. All this time, you knew where she is. Yet, you didn't fucking tell me. You knew and you hid it from me!" Lisa shuts her mouth at the firmness of Chaeyoung's voice, recoiling even before thinking of explaining herself to the furious blonde. "I asked you before but you said you didn't know, Lisa, you said she hasn't spoken to you since the wedding, too! God, how could you keep this from me?! And how could I be so fucking stupid to believe you?!"
Lisa had never felt worse, watching the blonde scream her heart out angrily at her, crystal tears rolling down her now fully reddened cheeks. Chaeyoung had suffered for 6 long months, and Lisa knew she's part of the many reasons why. "Ro, listen to me—"
"She's spoken to you. S-she had brunch with Jennie and Kai, too, before she left. She probably– she'd probably caught up with Irene and Seulgi, too, one way or another." Uncontrolled sobs continued to race their way out of Chaeyoung's parted lips as she spoke. Her hand found its way towards her disheveled blonde hair, burying deeply, and head shaking in refusal to believe the thoughts now running inside her head. "S-she just– she just didn't want to speak to me. She didn't want to be anywhere around me. She wants nothing to do with me—"
"No, Rosie." Lisa cuts her off, standing up from the couch and reaching over to wipe the tears that are still running endlessly down Chaeyoung's face. "Shh, hey. Hey, it's alright, there you go. Breathe."
But Chaeyoung never stopped shaking her head, pace even growing hasty as seconds pass. She looked up to meet gazes with the utterly worried Thai, before both of her hands suddenly gripped Lisa's forearms firm and tight.
"Where is she?"
Lisa bit her lip, looking down. She was clearly hesitant. "Ro–"
"Please, Lisa, just– Just tell me, please." Chaeyoung's cracking voice interrupted her. Lisa watched the blonde look down helplessly, her grip on the Thai's arms never loosening as she continued to sob out pained stutters. "I need to know where she is."
It was heartbreaking for Lisa to watch her like that, all scared and tired and helpless and vulnerable. Rosie is never like that. As far as she could remember, Rosie is strong and fierce; She's never one to care that much, or feel that much.
Turns out Rosie is long gone, too.
"She's in Vegas right now, with Nayeon." Chaeyoung didn't even realize her fists were now clenching Lisa's sleeves in a death grip, heart almost beating out of her chest as she continued to let the Thai speak. "I swear, I found out just recently, too, Ro. Chu only started talking to me again a few weeks back. She told me she was in Orlando for a month, with Taehyung; All for business, before flying to Nevada for a trip with her parents and the Im's." Lisa sighed when Chaeyoung's body completely deflated as she continued to explain, leaving her no choice but to pull the blonde in and wrap her securely in her arms. "She specifically told me not to tell you, Rosie. I'm so sorry."
Chaeyoung knew she is, and she understands. But still, it hurts. The fact that Jisoo didn't want to talk to her, hear from her, or even just do anything that would inlove her the slightest bit—
God, does it hurt.
Does she not want Chaeyoung, anymore?

"Okay, Ella, stop that now. We're gonna be late for the movie." Chaeyoung states, watching her sister run towards a particular direction, yelling over her shoulder hurriedly,
"In a minute, Unnie!"
Chaeyoung sighed. Well, it's not like she can do something about it anymore, anyway. Ella's already ran up towards the direction of the huge wishing fountain in the middle of the street completely. "Hey, careful, your shoes might get soaked! Ella!" She called, but the younger girl didn't bother to face her, anymore.
Seconds later, Chaeyoung frowned as she watched the little girl skip happily towards her spot by the sidewalk, humming a soft tune to herself. What is the deal with this kid? "Calm down, Chaeyoung-unnie. I didn't soak my feet in." She giggles at her older sister's frowning face.
There's still this wide, overly joyful grin plastered on Ella's face as she reached for the blonde's hand and started walking towards the direction of the movie theatre nearby, and Chaeyoung had to raise an eyebrow questioningly. "Okay? What wish was so urgent that you had to just fly right across these ocean of passers-by, anyway?"
Chaeyoung watched Ella open her mouth to respond, and perhaps, it was because her gaze was too focused on the girl that she didn't notice someone walking out of the flower shop they were just about to pass by that exact second, causing her to bump into them rather harshly, it actually almost caused Chaeyoung to fall back and land on the pavement,
if it wasn't for the person's hand grabbing her waist on time. "Woah, careful there."
