What The Hell, Right?
-
The sun is shining, birds are singing.
(Wooden surfaces creating thunderous banging.)
Today is a beautiful day for everyone.
"Chip, are you ready?" Lisa's loud voice came echoing the quiet hallway of Chaeyoung's apartment building, fist slamming impatiently on the blonde's door as there was no way Chaeyoung would open up for her for some reasons. "Hurry up in there, we're gonna miss the flight!"
"In a minute!" Chaeyoung groaned, eyes rolling as she continued to rummage through her living room drawers in search for her passport.
If Lisa were inside, Chaeyoung knew she's only going to recieve endless nagging from her for misplacing the most important item for their weekend trip to Paris.
(Thank god, Chaeyoung was smart enough to not let the Thai in when she came to pick her up this morning.)
Which brings us back to, "Come on, Rosie, what the hell is taking you so freaking long—"
"Found it." Chaeyoung exclaims as she finally opens the door, successfully cutting Lisa off. "Let's go?"
She sent the Thai a sly, cocky smile, grabbing her wrist and pulling her towards the elevator with her suitcase before Lisa could even mutter another word.
Today is a beautiful day.
Mimosa cocktails and the morning paper.
Cameras flashing through rolled up limousine windows.
"Ugh, give me a break." Nayeon groans, rolling her eyes intensely at the paparazzi who were desperately knocking on her side of the limo. One of them even shoved the lens straight towards the tinted glass, catching the raven-haired girl a little off guard and almost causing her to choke on her drink. "What the hell?! These leeches seriously need to go get a goddamn life!"
Jisoo snorts, head shaking in amusement. She flipped the pages of the newspaper in her hands, not even bothering to glance at the exasperated raven-haired girl next to her as she spoke.
"It's a beautiful morning, isn't it, Nadong?"
Nayeon scoffs. She felt the limo finally speed up when it made it through the crowded gates of the Kim Manor, completey leaving the press behind. Thank god! "A beautiful morning kind of, like, surrounded by an ocean of reporters taking pictures and asking invasive questions?" She asked, tone laced with sarcasm.
Jisoo shrugs. "I'm an heiress."
"Well, so am I. But do you see my ass getting swarmed by creepy journalists in the morning like yours does almost on a daily basis?"
Typical sassy Im Nayeon. Jisoo finally lets out a chuckle.
"I'm heiress to the Kim fortune. I guess that's the difference." She supposes, tone nonchalant. It only earned another eyeroll from the younger girl beside her.
"Okay, big shot." Nayeon mocks. Jisoo made a face towards her. "Now the airport jitters are finally kicking in, thanks to that."
"It should. You know the airport is their favorite spot, right?" Jisoo smirks.
(It's just really fun teasing the hell out of Nayeon every once in a while.)
"Don't remind me. God, I loathe this! Why do you have to be so important?"
It's such an ego boost, Jisoo's signature smug, lopsided smirk had to paint its way towards the brunette's lips, itself. "That's how the Kim's roll. Get used to it."
Nayeon does have to get used to it, doesn't she?
-
Jisoo didn't even realize when or how she ended up being pushed up against the wall of the Kang's newly opened hotel by a girl whose name she couldn't quite remember anymore.
"Soojoo," The girl laughs as she leaned closer to brush her lips against the brunette's. "And don't ask. You think really loud."
Right... Soojoo.
That was her name.
It's all still a bit hazy to her, but Jisoo somehow recalls at the back of her mind, she and Nayeon, heading straight for Irene and Seulgi's hotel opening that night after landing in Paris; welcoming the couple and sharing short pleasantries; and then, right away, excusing herself to mingle with the crowd.
She also remembers earning an eyeroll from Nayeon, who seems to be a little pissed now that she's left only with Momo's company after Irene and Seulgi excused themselves as well to welcome other guests.
(Maybe Jisoo did leave the two of them alone on purpose.) But that was just Nayeon's wild guess.
"Hey, pretty." And then, she remembers a girl approaching her. Brunette, dark eyes, porcelain skin, and a little bit of alcohol scent reeking from her breath. (Probably just too much champagne.) "You look really familiar. Have we met before?"
"I doubt it." Jisoo also remembers spitting out an easy response, smirking as she shamelessly scanned the girl's figure. Eyes dark, moving up and down slowly; this girl is hot. "If I had met someone as beautiful as you, I'm pretty sure I would've remembered."
She recalls the girl laughing at her flirting attempt, and it honestly would've been insulting. For some reasons, however, Jisoo found it rather sexy. I mean deep, somewhat, raspy chuckle— (or maybe it was just the champagne, too. What the hell did Seulgi mix in these glasses?!)
"Hong Soojoo. La Terre Empire heiress, and a friend of Irene's." Soojoo offers her hand, yet Jisoo had a hard time remembering if the girl did bite her lip seductively as she studied her intently; or not. "It's nice to meet you."
And judging by the way Soojoo presses her body further up against a slightly tipsy Jisoo, hands pinning the brunette's above her head, and lips slowly tracing slow pecks down the heated skin of Jisoo's exposed neck...
It really is nice meeting this girl, indeed.
-
"Lisa, Rosie! So glad you made it!" Seulgi welcomes the two, arms wide open as she engulfed them both in a welcoming hug at the same time. "How was your flight?"
"Literally, still the same as it always is. Although, I'm having a hunch there's a big surprise waiting for us inside that brand new hotel of yours." Lisa retorts as they pulled away from the hug.
It earned a chuckle from Seulgi, head shaking. "I'm not sure what you meant by that, but I'm interested to find out."
"I'm not." Chaeyoung jokes before taking a sip off the champagne glass she took from a waiter passing by, a little shrug on her shoulders to enhance the sarcastic nonchalance.
Lisa and Seulgi laughed.
"Of course you're not, Miss I-want-things-in-my-life-to-come-out-exactly-as-planned." Seulgi teases, which didn't fail to recieve a glare from the blonde. "Kidding. Jesus, no fun at all. Come on, I think Irene's over there with some guests."
Seulgi proceeded before the two could even respond, Lisa turning to her side to meet gazes with the blonde.
"Hey, Chip." The Thai calls out worriedly, an arm wrapping securely around a now, slightly worried Chaeyoung. "You know Chu's more likely to be in here, somewhere, right? Are you gonna be okay?"
Chaeyoung wouldn't admit the anticipation scared her a little. But, oh well.
What could possibly go wrong in such beautiful, beautiful day?
(And it's not like things between her and Jisoo could be any more worse than they are right now.)
"Of course." Chaeyoung managed to pull her lips to her eyes as she nudged Lisa's side reassuringly, an attempt to stop the latter from worrying. "What the hell, right?"
Lisa chuckled, head shaking in amusement. She used her other hand to take Chaeyoung's glass from her, downing the rest of its content and placing it down on the waiter's tray as she nodded in return.
"What the hell."
