" Roseleaf! Roseleaf! Roseleaf!" My clanmates chanted. I looked over at Wolffang proudly. Were warriors. His eyes said. Blazestar spoke again. " They will sit vigil tonight, but for now attend to your normal dutys." He said hoping off the stump.

I padded over to the nursery. I slid in and saw Poppystorm licking one of her kits. " Stop!" One of them protested. " Hi Poppystorm, who are these lovlies?" I asked. Someone bowled into my paws. I looked down. " Hi! Im Scarletkit!" She said hopping up and down. " Hello Scarletkit, im Roseleaf.Who's that over there/" I asked flicking my tail to the young black tom with a white stripe down in his back. " Thats Skunkkit, he's no fun. He growls and yells at you. Can you be my mentor?" She asked curiously. I moved my paws around on the ground akwardly. Poppystorm called to her. " Scarletkit come over here right now! Skunkkit is not mean or rude. He is shy, and has had a bad day." Poppystorm scolded. Scarletkit's tail droped to the ground. "Sorry mother." She mummerd. I heard Skunkkit snort. 'Well I am be-" His sentence was cut off by and ear splitting screech.

I ran out of the nursery and starred in horror and badgers charged into the camp. Wolffang leapt to the nearest one and attacked it nimbly. One charged towards to the nursery with eyes ful of hatred. I stood in front of the entrance and puffed out my fur 3 times my size. Having a fluffy pelt helped for once. I raked my claws across its muzzle and hit went to bite me. It let out a roar and snatched me by my leg. I yowled and teeth met my leg. I turned around and raked my claws across its eyes. It let go and roared into the air angrily. I leapt on it's back and sank my teeth into my scruff. It roared into the air once more and flung it's head toward me, but unable to reach me. I scratched my claws across it's back and bit it's shoulder. Good thing this one was small, but it was angry. There weren't as many badgers as I thought there was, but badgers aren't something t mess with. The badger flung me off it. My body hit the ground and pain went through me. I stood up shaikly, with my back against a tree. The badger lumberd closer and closer to me. I slowly gatherd my strength. But by the looks of how fast this badger was moving I wouldn't be fast enough. I leapt at me, I closed my eyes knowing this was my end. At least I became a warrior. But nothing happend. I opended my eyes to see the badger's fleeing and Wolffang laying on the ground. I charged over to him on clumsy paws. "Wolffang, are you ok/" I asked in a shaky voice. " No, im not ok. Roseleaf this is my end. I want you to know I love you. And forever will I love you, but my time has come. I love you Roseleaf, and don't you ever forget that." He said as his hazel eyes closed. I wailed, wanting him to come back, but deep down I knew that would never happen. " By the looks of it there were only 4 badgers." Polenfall spoke. I turned my head to her, angry that she would say something like that at a time like this. "YOU KILLED MY BROTHER!" Someone screeched. I turned around to see Sunpelt leaping at me with outstreched claws.
