I despertly searched around, trying to find anyone. "There!" Creamfur said behind me, pointing to my clan-mates running out of the cave. Their faces light up with delight when they saw us.

Gemwhisker ran up to me, panic flashing through her eyes. "I killed him...." She whispered. "Killed who?" I asked. "I made him lose one of his lives!" She wailed. "Who?" I asked, fear creeping through my veins. "Darkstar! What have I done, I will be banished! My kits will be mother-less! Roseleaf help me!" She wailed. "Why did you kill him?" I asked, trying to keep my own voice calm. "He went to attack my kits. I had to protect them. Look at Puddlekit! He attacked her!" She wailed. I rested my tail on her shoulder. What in starclan is going on? I wondered.

I was talking to Gemwhisker, trying to calm her down, when Darkstar made his appearance. His pelt was matted with blood and his body was covered in scratches and brusies. His eyes burned with fury.

He weakly made his way up onto the boulder. " Fools! What are you doing?! Attack the traitor! You saw what she did to me! She attacked her own leader!" He yowled. Mummer's spread through the crows, until Scarletpaw stepped forward.

"Were the fools? No, not right now. I saw you attack Gemwhisker and Puddlekit. Gemwhisker only attacked you because you were going to harm her kits. Any other queen would have fought for their life for the lives of their kits. Queens are the best warriors when it comes to kit's. It was your fault for messing with one." She said, confidence flashing through her gaze.

"You don't understand! You saw wrong! She attacked me first!" He yowled.

"Incorrect! I saw you launch yourself at her! You should be thrown from your postion!" She yowled, taking a step toward him.

Fear and anger shone in his green eyes.

The clan started to yowl agreement and started to pace toward him.

Gemwhisker's eyes flashed with confidence. She nudged her kits toward me.

"Darkstar! You coward! Admit you were wrong! Even my kits saw what you did!" She hissed at him.

Darkstars back arched and he began hissing at anyone who got close to him. "From this point forward, I don't want to be known as your leader, or your clan-mate! I am leaving for good! I want you to know that I am a rising threat! I will always be watching you!" He yowled, and ran off into the forest.

I took a step forward and leapt onto the great boulder. "I want a patrol sent after him. If he attacks, attack back." I said.

I watched my clan-mates nod their heads and obey. Excitement buzzed through my paws. I was a leader...
