"Im what?!" I screeched. This couldn't be happening! I was the deputy, I needed to be able to fill the paws of Volewhisker. I could feel my heart racing. "Calm down, who's the father?" Creampatch asked quietly. I hadn't even thought of Blackice. "I don't want to speak of him. Isn't the gathering tonight?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't ask anymore questions about the father. He nodded his head.

I slid into the gathering, on the search for Blackice. I hurried through the crowd, pushing and hissing. "Watch where your going!" Hissed a cat from Emberclan. I turned my head around. 

I was starring face to face with a speckled maple she-cat. "Im sorry, I didn't know I stepped on your stupid tail!" I hissed. My fur bristled as she starred angrily. "I didn't know a stupid furball like you would actually be at a gathering. What are you a knew apprentice?" She sneered. I unsetahed my claws. If she wanted a fight she would sure get one. I would claw that stupid smile off her face. Her fluffy pelt bristled. "I didn't know they let Queens to gatherings." I sneered smirking. i heard her gasp as I walked away.

"Blackice! I need to speak to you alone!" I hissed through bushes. He turned around and walked into the bushes. "What?" He asked, his brilliant eyes shinning in the moonlight. "Im having kits." I spoke as I chocked on the words. He smiled and excitement danced in his eyes. "Thats wonderful!" He whisperd. I was happy but I knew soon I wouldn't be deputy for awhile. His eyes suddenly filled with worry. "Your not planning on giving them to me are you?" He asked. I shook my head. Nothing would ever harm these kits. "No, they will be with me in my clan forever." I said,a protective hint to my voice. He looked a little taken aback. "Of course. They need to be with you. Is this goodbye?" He asked choking on the words. I could feel tears coming out of my eyes. "I will see you at gatherings. I will tell you what goes on with them at gatherings. But we can't meet anymore, im sorry." I cried. 

Tears poured down my cheeks as I walked back to camp. My clan had already left and gone back to camp. I ruffled my fur against the harsh leaf-bare winds. I missed him, I wanted him by my side to protect me, be with me forever.
